So....with the same time that people took to question my question... it could have been answered.   But I'll oblige....

Some of my mags are about 8 months old.... however, the mags that came with my first rival have somewhere around 15k rounds through them.  My Springs and followers all were changed to MBX when the new 24+1s came out.   I never had an issue with them and they are* "burr" free.  My mags get cleaned frequently, as it's literally the first thing I do when I have feeding issues.

Again, the obvious issue is that I can visibly see differences in the gap of my feed lips from magazine to magazine.  It's sincerely not uncommon to need to tune magazines.  I aim to shoot 4 USPSA competitions a month, and also try to live fire practice once a week.   Tack on dry fire to the list of abuse I put my gear through too.

I don't buy a gun, go to the range to shoot slow fire bullseye, then take pictures with my gun/target for Reddit.  Just because you have never had to tune a mag that you own, does not mean others won't need to.

    Good day gentlemen.

I don't feel any movement when in the barrel when the slide in battery, I see a tiny movement in the slide moving very tiny side to side into the frame. Are you guys having some tiny movement in the slide ?

There has to be a little bit of clearance, or the slide won't cycle. It's fine.

  3. Since you live close, it would be worth going to watch the super squad etc. If you're expecting a big show with special events and lots of vendors, you will likely be disappointed.

As far as participating, it's pretty much like any other match, but with a higher level of competition and a good amount of sandbaggers.

    How about...........when they stop moving?

Or when they run out the clock.

Do you mean right before they take another sight picture? Sometimes they settle, only to move again right when you ask if they're ready. Centerfire is easy because they raise their hands, low ready classes not so much with some shooters.

If the shooter is following the rules, what is it that you can't stand. If the shooter takes 100 swings at the first plate inside of the time limit who cares. Why is it that RO's are bothered by people doing things in a different manner. An RO is not their to judge the shooter on style, just on safety and score. The RO is there to serve the shooters and the match not the other way around.

I think the challenge is knowing when they're actually ready.

  6. If you pull down on the magazine follower tabs to load, you are more likely to have feed issues due to potential rim lock. Push the rounds down and back without pulling the follower down, or use the included loader. I've got several thousand rounds through mine without issue. The follower tabs are unnecessary... if you use mag extensions they have to be removed anyway. The TK extensions have worked great on mine.
