I know PD has decided not to make thin or med swell versions, but I really wish they do.

I am running SSI scale v2 on the left side, EGD on the right. Perfect fit for my small hands.

Not exactly, we're focusing on getting the Small Frame and CZ models out before we release a smaller profile palm swell grip..... all great things come in time

    Yup.

He can make PF... but he'll be flowing primers, bulging cases, and riding the odds of a Vegas bathroom slot machine in regards to pressure spike.

He thinks because his buddy is an experienced open shooter, it's okay, (I mean that with all due respect, not trying to be a d**k). Unless his buddy has experience with a V12 or a Akai w/ a ton of popples, I'd recommend he stay in his lane and get in touch with someone that does have experience w a V12, etc.

The only way to safely run a gold team in 9mm, is to get a 6" barrel from eaa, chop it, thread a comp. and run a handful of poples/comp.

This man speaks the truth, the amount of gas the barrel and brake bleed from a 9mm is outragous. You really have to run super hot loads to make PF....... I have a 38SC V12 and it's about 8-9PF below what a comparable open gun with out the Popple holes shoot with the same load.

Here are some halfway decent images you're welcome to use on your website or social media, if you want. I don't do photos professionally anymore so it's cool with me - they're just screencaps from the original HD video on my phone anyway.

Got mine. Better video that really lets you see the contours:

    First impressions?

I was concerned they'd be too wide. They feel amazing.

I can't imagine needing more traction. Dragging the gun down your forearm will leave scratches if you apply much pressure.

No gaps and I like the way Joe used the screw head as an interference-fit with the hole to keep them from walking around. ;)

They are slightly harder to reach the mag catch on than a Henning or Scales grip. But only the slightest bit, and they're way better than factory wood grips. After a few dry reloads I don't see the need to carve a channel into them.

Sweet video Memphis..... I may need you to do Photo shoots for everything :D

That makes perfect sense, I guess the sear spring reduces just the final break weight and not the full travel weight, but it's still relevant.  I see what you mean now on the balance between firing pin spring and main spring, thanks so much for explaining that!

So as far as those of you competing with these pistols, besides primer strike reliability (which I would say is THE most important factor), have you found a sweet spot for balance between the elusive lightest possible trigger pull and effective action shooting?  In other words, have you gone TOO light on the pull and found that it feels great on dry fire or slow-fire shooting on static targets, but in the action of a real match you found you liked a little heavier pull?  I have a friend with an STI that he's let me shoot a few times with about a 1.5lb SA pull, and I don't like it, I feel like I'm just along for the ride and the gun decides when it wants to fire instead of me.  Might just be that I'm used to my 4.5lb. striker pull on my current USPSA pistol, and I would get used to a lighter pull with more practice.

Unless your rolling with all federals and a 10lb hammer spring you wont have to worry about a sub 2lb SA pull. I think on average you'll see a 2.5-3.5lb SA range which you'll find to be just right once you get to learn a DA/SA gun. It takes a bit of time to move from a striker fired to a DA/SA platform but with a little dry fire you'll learn to love it.

I have a new Stock II Xtreme, myself, although I haven't taken it out of the box yet. About all I plan on doing is installing a Bolo, and changing the recoil spring to suit the ammo that I use. Most everything has been taken care of from the factory.

    Good looking guns.

I hate to rain on your parade but the factory left the gun far from "Xtreme"  and taken care of. Yes the majority of the parts are there, but so is the stacking and zipper feeling in the trigger pulls. Do your self a favor and take the time to polish the internals, you'll be glad you did once your complete.

Update: Ended up taking another .003" off of it without scrapping anything, and called it good at that point. Hammer comes back another .030" or so.

With a PD 15.5, the gun lit off anything at a 5.8lb DA pull weight this weekend. I mean CCI Magnums and Tula primers loaded on a 650 - it doesn't care.

No more EGD Medium spring. No more stacking DA pull.

glad you tried it out and it sounds like it worked out great for ya!

Our local club has several guys that have them. I have shot them and they certainly do not feel small in the hands like a CZ. You probably would not be able to tell a difference by just looking at them side by side at a glance.

This is true, i can put some numbers out this afternoon on frame dimensions of the two. Probably the only difference would be the large frames seem to have a raised front and rear back strap that have the checkering cut into them, where as the small frame (at least the one we have) has the checkering cut into the frame. So maybe 1/16th of an inch front and back difference..

Word on the street is Patriot is about to drop a hammer/sear kit... might as well wait for that.

I heard that rumor too. Something about crisper SA and harder DA strike. But you know how unreliable rumors are...

We've heard this rumor as well...........:D

Thanks Joe and everyone.  I got the dremel after it again tonight.  Kept saying "just one more pass" and I eventually got it!  The single action now resets and has virtually no pre travel!  Much better then the standard interruptor.  Now I have to fit the single sided safety.

My SA dropped from 3.5# to 3#.  My DA is still 6.5#-6.75#.  I'd like that down to 6#.  Any ideas?

    - I noticed the comments about adjusting the Bolo for a longer DA pull and that may liten the DA trigger...but, risky given the work I've put into my Bolo already.

    - I could put a liter trigger plunger spring in like the CGW spring talked about on this forum or clip a coil off my current liten spring, but the SA reset doesn't seem real positive currently (there is no audible click on the reset but it does reset).

    - Take it apart and go through another round of polishing and oiling.

Polishing all the pins, and pin holes will probably get you to the 6lb range your looking for.

If by "what area your hitting on the Bolo", you mean where I am filing, its the exact curve on the PD website instructions picture for #1 and I'm following that natural flat curve on the filing/sanding.  If you mean something else, can you clarify?

Sounds like you have an unlucky Lim-Pro that's going to require a bit of material to be removed. Sand paper more than likely will make you want to throw the thing away before you actually get it fitted. Remember its a hardened piece of metal so going to the dremel will shave hours of time. Just go slow and keep the cut straight.... your on the right track

Mine is .462 to start not .465...

I guess I may not need to remove as much. Time to ruin a part three days before a match!

Within .003"...... probably time to get your calipers calibrated..... but close enough for us to do what we're looking for.
