Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. You can also use the pad thickness to adjust your pattern and slug impact
  2. Like the above check your spring length as for Rio's they have been pretty unreliable in my M3K-I think it has more to do with the rim on the shell mine will run anything from federal-after breaking I found the top gun/pink 1145's to be my favorites
  3. I bought the Competition lifter from Brownells for my VM TACTICAL-so the fork has been filled in, works flawlessly and my thumbnail is no longer in danger. The one mod I did make was that I filed down the hump so it loads easier and also so be able to unload via the shell catch. While it is not a long as the CRums modified lifter, I have had no feeding issues that some have had because of weight added to the lifter, or shells not being centered. The Brownells did work well before I filed the hump down-it was a harder push to load, and I had to cycle the rounds into the chamber to unload.
  4. Not sure what others experience with Berrys 55gr FMJ's but I was at my local Cabelas an they are on sale for $31.00 per 500. I did leave some for the next guy but at .062 per I had to stock up. anyone else shoot these?
  5. I will second the Carbon Arms-I started with dueces and then quickly to quads, easy to switch back and forth with loading styles and from weak to strong hand loading as needed, fit is very "customizable" and there are two pockets that I will also use for AR mags as well.
  6. just to keep this thread going-I have two different color recent manufacture TTI base pads that after doing the changes recommended for the Dawson base pads that I can get 20 re loadable rounds in both 3rd and 4th gen magazines. They were very stiff at first and I did need to remove flashing from the inside of a couple of the mag tubes, but now is fine and reliable. I load them by hand BTW and round 19 and 20 are pretty still require some strong effort to load.
  7. wanted to step up and say hi! As long time Highpower shooter this sport is such a breath of fresh air! I have now shot 2 USPSA matches and 2 3gun-at every instance all the competitors have been super nice and are willing to give pointers, lend gear and in general make for a great time. sites like this one have proven to be so useful and has really helped prepare me for what to expect at a match, as well as what is expected of me as a participant. So, thanks for all the information and I look forward to meeting more and more of you.
