  1. I am having a similar issue with 10mm rounds, except it appears to me that the brass is not falling into the arm and it gets hung up on top of the swing arm plastic red bushing. So, it is getting to the large red keyed drop tube, but not making it into the pivoting arm to drop on the upstroke. Sometimes it even binds between the drop tube and the swing arm. Press is a brand new one setup from factory for 10mm. Thoughts? Trying to find adjustments in the manual, but currently about 1 out of 3 pieces of brass make it to the shell plate!
  2. Young eyes, thanks for the links - my bad, I was in a rush to start using the press, but knew I wouldn't get through many rounds tonight... For anyone else that sees this seems the consensus is that it is fine to leave it setup for short periods, but you run the risk of mixing powders, maybe a little discolorization, or moisture absorption, etc,,,
  3. I have read horror stories about leaving powder in powder drops in the past, how safe is it to leave powder (Longshot & BE-86) in the Dillon Powder hopper over night, or a couple of days? I don't want to mess up my new 650 trying to get it setup over a few days...
  4. Well, Redding does make the micrometer adjustable crimping dies in a few calibers...
  5. Are there any downsides to using the Redding dies on a Dillon XL650? I just got my 650 in last week and was setting it up tonight. After using the micrometer seating and crimping dies from Redding I guess I am just a little spoiled and trying to get the Dillon dies setup properly got me a little frustrated... Also on my bullets (Hornady HAPs & XTPs) I didn't feel the Dillon die fit the bullet profile very well in either cup.
  6. I just ordered a 650 last week from Brian, besides this forum are there some other good ones to gather information from? The anticipation is going to get me this week...
  7. I have read a lot of folks discouraging the use of Federal primers. I about to order a 650, but I am also sitting on about 6,000 Federal 150 match primers! So, question is should get rid of the Ferderals before my 650 comes in? Or, just keep all the mechanisms as clean as possible...
  8. Guys over on the 10mm-firearms.com forum have worked with it. I grabbed 4 lbs when it was available locally, but haven't tried it yet, still have a nice supply of Longshot...
