  1. I took a black sharpie and outlined the A zone,I hang this target in my garage for dry fire. I am trying to focus more on shooting A's instead of just hitting the target. I am hoping this will help me subconsciously center the front sight on the A instead of having to "think" about putting the sight in the A zone.
  2. I am currently loading 9mm with 125gr coated from S&S casting and 4.2 grains of Red Dot and Coal of 1.040. I am getting some leading of the last 3/4-1 inch before the muzzle of my factory Glock 34. Does anyone know what is causing this?
  3. I was thinking strong hand, I did some practicing tonight load 2 and and tried some quad load. I saw the spots on the loading port that need to be opened up and beveled, it looks like a pretty simple task with a dremel. As for the loading I need lots and lots of practice! The quad load I usually dropped at least on shell if not two every time but it's a starting point!
  4. No matches this weekend, they all got rained out. I plan on spending the weekend dry firing my pistol and learning how to load my shotgun. As for shell holders what works best i see two different designs. I would think the load 2 would be the way to go. Any thoughts on that? http://www.theshooterssource.com/carbon-arms-round-p-18448.html And this style http://www.theshooterssource.com/safariland-round-p-26419.html
  5. Awesome, I have heard great things about Nordic tubes. What about the barrel will a 28" vent rib barrel be any kind of hindrance?
  6. I have a Remington 870 express that I would like to use for 3gun. I am just getting started in the sport and don't have the funds for a new auto loader. It is a stock 870, what would y'all recommend to get started? Just a tube extension and shell caddies? Thanks for any advice in advance.
  7. I am shooting a Glock 34 gen4, so far I have put a set of Dawson Precision sights and installed a new connector and spring kit from Zev Tech. I have not shot it yet with the new trigger parts, just dry fired.
  8. Also don't overlook the .243 or 6.5x47 Lapua. Weather you reload or not will have a big influence on caliber selection. For starters a new trigger, Timney is the first that comes to mind. For a stock you can pick up a Bell & Carlson A2 for pretty cheap. For glass the sky is the limit, just remember buy once cry once!
  9. Hello all new guy here from DFW. I am a long time rifle shooter but new too action pistol. So far I have shot 3 steel challenge type pistol matches and 1multigun match, all have been some big learning experiences. My main interests are to start USPSA and get further into multigun.
