  2. LOL. Talk about swapping guns. Man you went from a CZ to a glock. I have learned the hard way NEVER do that. I've also learned never change your grips while driving to the match LOL. Practice with one and stick with one. I'm making the transition from CZ to S&W M&P core 9mm and 40 and now I'm going back to CZ/tanfoglio once I find a either a CZ or tanfoglio in 40 SW for USPSA limited. I have a 9 mm witness for 3 gun it runs as long as I keep my ammo consistent
  3. I can't help but wonder how has your shooting improved? I noticed several comments was about your weight. Have you started to work on that? A little story about myself I used to smoke. That was a big factor in my ability to run. I quit smoking added 40 lbs of weight. I now work out everyday a mix of cardio and weights. Have I noticed a difference from a year ago YES. I just got a second place stage finish on a multi bay multigun event with some pretty healthy athletic shooters. I shot it well and ran the stage just about flawless. I have not read any books other then reading on here, watching some you tube videos, and learning from other shooters at local club events Well I wish the best of luck to you and hope you have really improved your shooting Thanks Tommy3gun Tommy Pizzo YouTube
  4. I take my brass to my friends house. He has the wet tumbler with steel pins. He uses a magnet thing that he got off of Amazon its really to pick up nuts and bolts with but it works for what he needs. I like it so much I decided to by my own tumbler. So I did
  5. I watch the show every week. It does pick my gear. But its the gear I've always wanted with limited funds that's available. Since I started shooting 3 gun April 2014 I need a Sponsor LOL
  6. You have to start somewhere This is my first year shooting 3 gun I now have my first 3 gun shotgun (Beretta 1301) My hand gun is a multi purpose gun I use it for USPSA limited its a SW core 40sw no optic, My Ar is nothing more then a cheap AR none major brand with a bushnel 1-4x24 scope that I found at a pawn shop for $78 tax included at the store same scope is $279 My thought is go to matches you will see what works and what don't Shop around looking for good deals... ask shooters if they have extra gear for sale. I picked up my uspsa set up for $200 cr speed belt holster and 3 mag holsters I've added another CR speed holster for different guns (CZ/tanfoglio) for $75 used
  7. I'm not a PRO at the rules but according to my understanding you can not dump a firearm in the same spot as another staged gun NOW to bring another subject I was shooting a 3 gun match, a guy dumped a pistol in the dump box it bounced out and fell into a dump barrel. that had a staged shotgun. he got a match DQ for abandoning a handgun in a staged guns location... or for the fact he really THREW his glock pistol 4 feet away from the dump bucket to gain a advantage too his shotgun ..... FOR BRAGGING RIGHTS we are a level 1 match no money is on the line
  8. Well Said I use my Core for limited uspsaand 3 gun mag well and mag extensions installed. I need to buy a 9mm for 3gun but its not going to have a mag well, just mag extensions. spending money on Optics for rifle and gear for loading a shotgun is going to the game changer.
  9. Honestly I look at this gun as a 3 gun open gun not as a uspsa/ipsc open gun Guys that shoot single gun are going to use they're STI Guys that shoot 3 gun this maybe a good idea as major power factor isn't a issue in 3 gun but then again why do you need a compensated 9 mm if your not shooting major powerfactor? This is just a sales tactic for people to buy NEW gun I'll sick with my 'limited division" CORE in 40 sw no optic When I move to open 3 gun i'll buy a 9mm core with a Cmore
  10. I just bought my 1301 so its not even had 100 rds in it yet so its not that dirty but one thing I can say that's one thing I can see failing. Then again its also something I can see being a PITA in a match and I will end up kicking myself because i didn't clean it like I should have done. one issue I see is the mag release button screw may want to get a longer one and blue lock tite it in seen another shooters screw come loose and it stripped the beginning threads
  11. I just bought my 1301 on Saturday night and used it the next day in 3 gun match at my local gun range. I did have a issue with loading I was trying to quad load. I failed at it then I used another shooters chest rig and loaded doubles with out issues One thing I want to mention the bolt release button the screw that holds that in is really short and don't use all the threads that are available. I recommend buying a longer M3 allen head screw and blue lock tite so it don't fall out and strip the threads out. Not everyone is able to repair the release if that happens. For me that isn't a issue drill it out tap it to a fine thread Another shooter his screw fell out and it stripped the beginning threads. So far I like the gun. Not having a tube and using the factory 5+1 SUCKED!!!! but that's not the guns fault. I do like the large handle and the mag release. sights are sweet mid lenght bead really Works for me as thats on my other shotguns and have learned to use it to my advatage the safety button size is nice but it could be easier to release this one seems stiff or drags internally my other guns seem to be smooth for me also not in that spot. Mossberg has a great location and that is what I like I guess its more of a preferance issue then a flaw. all in all for $1100 for a out of the box shotgun It works I could have bought a VM from walmart for $899 and sank $200-500 into it or bought one already done for $1295 and have to buy a longer extention then what it comes with for another $100-150. I bought a $1100 gun and add a tube from RCI (xrail) for another $100 Thanks Tommy3guns
