  1. Anyone have any updates on this scope for use in 3-gun? Seems pretty heavy and not sure about the 1.5
  2. Thanks for the info, I think I have seen him at one of the matches I shot at AGC, I'll send him a PM
  3. I'm new to USPSA (3 local matches) and have quickly learned that I need some help. I'm not looking to be a GM but would like to get better as this is a ton of fun. Looking for someone in the Denver area. Looking for someone with a solid track record that understands teaching and working with individuals not just a fast shooter looking to make a buck. Any suggestions Thanks
  4. Mark, Thanks for the info, That's why I posted it. I have heard good things about the stretch 16 but don't know much about them. Time for some research.
  5. Good point, the barrel was going to be custom made on an obermeyer barrel. It was suggested by a local gunsmith. Thought it might be over-kill and yes it is expensive.
  6. I am getting ready to build a new race only AR for multi-gun. Plan to use it for limited with an EOTech. Curious what feedback is out there. Planned build is as follows: Phoenix Weaponry billet upper & lower JP Rifles LMOS BCG JP Silent Capture Spring Obermeyer 14.5 inch SS .223 Wylde with 1:8 twist. Will have compensator welded to meet 16" barrel requirement Rifle length adjustable gas system Geissele SD-3G Trigger group Mil-spec Buffer tube with magpul stock Haven't settled on a handguard yet (usually use JP) I know there are tons of opinions out there but what I am really looking for is if anyone see's a problem with this working and cycling properly. Thanks
  7. I am looking for load data and peoples experience using the Montana Gold 121 gr IFP. This round will be used for multi-gun matches with a CZ SP-01 Shadow. I have Titegroup and AA #7 on the shelf. Any info would be helpful. Thanks
  8. I just upgraded to a SP 01 Accu-shadow from a Glock 17L for 3-gun. What a difference! Much more accurate and the weight difference is a bonus, transitioning between targets is not a problem and so far the gun has been flawless using handloads. The biggest problem I have and I believe detracts from CZ in 3 gun is the lack of aftermarket support and the availability. Holster selection sucks and figuring out magazine extensions can be confusing. So far, very happy I switched. As for the cost between a STI and a CZ, $1450 for the CZ and approx. $2000 to buy the STI plus another $500 to actually get it to run right (that from several STI shooters I know).
  9. I use this technique with my CZ 75 Accu-Shadow, It just feels natural on this gun
  10. Where is the best place to find used STI's and what are the common problems with used ones. Can they be recondttioned
