  1. That's dedication right there Doug! I notice that at this year's Ironman there are specific rules around shotshells to prevent "gaming" the spinner.
  2. I put a razor red-dot on mine with a little 3MOA dot. I'm tempted to shill out the big bucks though and put a trijicon RMR with the triangle reticle on it.
  3. The 22 rounder scares the crap out of me. That thing looks like a monopod! At a match this weekend I had one 10 rounder run fine, but one kept dropping in the dirt when I fired. Doesn't seem to be dropping fully! As far as cycling loads: I've had zero problems with my XN model. Lots of locally made premium loads, but also ~150 rounds of crappy wal-mart target load.
  4. Ooo I like the sites on that! I've got a set of Mepro Tru-Dots on the way to try out
  5. Does anyone down south use these pseud-CZs? I've actually got a pair now. I initially picked one up on sale for $500 because it made a good match to my Tavor, but I find that I quite like the little guys. Being able to share magazines with Cz75 shooters is always a bonus too, but I don't see much of them outside of Canada. It seems that some US companies label them as Baby Eagles?
  6. Do I see a 140 yard pistol target on this stage? Please tell me that's a bonus target!
  7. I hear ya guys. Crossing the border means I've got to have all my ATF t's crossed and i's dotted. It's a good thing I've been prepping things since January!
  8. It's still pretty bad in Canada. Need government approval to take your AR-15 to and from the range, with no legal way to hunt with one. Part of why I opted for the Tavor: It's so new there's no laws controlling or banning it based on looks. Magazine capacity is a little better for stanag rifles these days. But there's lots of work to be done The RCMP just relisted two non-restricted guns that have been sold freely for 12 years and made them prohibited overnight.
  9. Huh, mine is an XN model, but I've only got ~300 rounds through it. I'll keep an eye on it! Has anyone else noticed that the ten rounder mags require a bit of modification to actually lock in to their guns?
  10. Glad to be here! I'm in Calgary, but last weekend I drove back and forth to Edmonton in order to shoot two back to back events.
  11. Oh man oh man oh man. We get to roll a spool?!? These stage layouts are stellar!
  12. Food, water and sun protection were all missing from my first long shoot last weekend. Good thing I keep a ton of crap in my Jeep! I was able to scrounge up some of each around 2pm, but its definitely a mistake I won't be making again.
  13. Hello Eno crew! I’m a Canadian gun owner and target shooter just starting to enjoy the competitive sports. I’ve done embedded exercises with the Armed Forces, interviewed “security analysts” misrepresenting themselves as ex-SAS, and try to do as much as possible one of the more unique rifles out there: Israel’s TAR-21 Tavor. Since Shot Show this year I've been securing the gear and paperwork to attend the MGM Ironman in Parma next month. I'm more than a little excited. There's a little bit of local 3 Gun here in Alberta, so I expect I'll spend lots of time this summer driving to matches. I hate intro posts without pictures, so here's some of my gear:
