By any chance did you recently replaced the mag release with an extended version?

when I came off the hard right target to engage the poppers my dot was on the middle popper.
I would've engaged it that way I wouldn't have to look at it twice.

i highly recommend checking out one of the USPSA clubs in your area before spending any $$$

I'd rather shoot less matches than less rounds a match. For me to spend all day at a match, I want to shoot a lot.
I do hear what you're saying but I was referring to match participation. This past Sunday I talked to some of our newer shooters and they mentioned rationing ammo(Primers) to last the year!
Heck if things don't change only a handful of guys will be shooting matches next year.

I'm surprised the round count at our matches hasn't changed.................yet.

usually when talking speed you don't ask on a challenging target hahaha. ask on a 7yard open target and you'll get more sure answers. hahahah

Had two done on the same knee. The 2nd was a breeze compared to the 1st even if it was a revision.

Just pour the new powder over the old powder.

My draw, generally speaking but.
My guess is my draw with a plate hit is probably slower than my reload with a hit on a plate rack.

What's the design flaw?
It was a mechanical device that can and will malfunction.

It is always a combination of design flaw and operator error that causes bad accidents. In this case, it is an inherently unsafe equipment and operation mode being accepted in a sport that prides itself with safety that caused this "accident".
Too be fair it was an operator error first then a design flaw.

You can actually repair these worn ledges on Glock mags... I did three for a friend about a year ago... I just used one of his unused backstraps, melted it and built up the area on the mag... Made a sharp ledge with a cutting wheel on a dremel, and then sanded it down smooth... It worked perfectly and only took about 15-20 min to do all three.

Wow, wish I had thought of that when I worn out my mags. Same material and all.

NO LUBE for pistol. I use carbide progressive dies from dillon on my 1050 and 550's and have loaded 10s of thousands with no issue. Calibers loaded are 10mm, 40 cal. , 45acp, and 9mm.
I clean and tumble all brass first. Then load them. Next case gauge, only for the 9mm and 40 cal.
I don't lube either but the guys that I know that do shoot Major 9.

I'm guessing this is where the size die stops and is caused by bulged brass?
Are you sure your dies are adjusted correctly and you are not short stroking the handle?
I'm asking because I load a lot of 40(even the Glock fired cases) and never had this issue.

Not at our matches but practicing yeah!
