How are the rest of you managing the lack of SPP?
I'm good! And just think people laughed at me when I started stocking up for the zombie apocalypse.
nah, I've been with USPSA since the early 80's and took notes.
I do feel sorry for our newer shooters who are getting blind sided by this.

LOL I tried a lot of different oils over thee years. They all get mixed together in a bottle of mobile 1

I use one at the range or at home when I cannot insert a cleaning rod from the breech.
I don't think you can compare a bore snake to a fresh clean patch.
-
I've done it but only with jacketed bullets.

Some of us live in these states, so we need to adapt in order to keep playing gun games...
The Op did say "I'm a part time resident". He might have family there and want to get some shooting while visiting?

When that happens the smart people will buy it cheap and stack it deep and the dumb ones will continue being dumb.
I know more than a few here. They either think it wont happen or they have time to wait.

This is not a global issue. The US has a very different set of political and cultural circumstances than the rest of the world.
LOL, Agreed! hopefully the mod also agree.

Some shooters here were talking about shooting single stack because small primers cannot be found.

I have yet to see someone waiting on the slide to return to fire again.
I have, we have a couple of guys who can shoot as if they were bump firing. I believe them when they tell me that they have to wait.

Not familiar with the S2 but if the trigger return spring is similar to the 75B/TS I'd change them out once a year. I broke more than a few.

So— there are 2 primer plants I have been told of... in the US starting up... I think the shortage will last until they get moving.. then to compete the other plants will start producing more...
until covid is truly under control— then we will be at a lurch too.. I know 1 primer plant that was hit hard ... and that hurt production...
Its all about the $$$ Like Automobiles you're not going to sell parts(Primers) when you can sell cars& trucks. For now at least. My 2 cents

Until you go to a match where the steel is hard set and the 115's won't knock them down.
This is what started me on the heavy bullet path.

For felt recoil yeah but for accuracy no, not for me.
I was in the heavy bullet camp for more years and years but since switched to the light to medium weight bullets.
-
If it's already effecting shooters now I cant imagine what it's gonna be like next year.
-
I'd recommend loading them a little hotter. To avoid breach face erosion.

I'm sure it's not but looks like someone wiped it with Ospho.

Have you tried different weight recoil springs?

Dillion, but given the time(age, $$$) I started I should've got an RCBS Rock chucker. Started with a Lee Challenger kit.

My 2 cents.
Nice Gun, will make you look twice as bad if you cant hit s#!t.
A plain off the shelf gun will make you look twice as good if you're a decent shot.
