  1. Good beaches and a football team I think. Greetings from a Razorback fan
  2. Welcome and you might want to post pictures of you hang work once in a while
  3. Welcome and thank you for your service. As a fairly new person to this group I do have to second the friendly folks and helpful individuals here. I will refrain from the Cowboy jokes at this time for I am a AFC fan.
  4. welcome to a coming addiction
  5. Welcome to a place of friendly and helpful people
  6. You can't go wrong with Xtreme. I have loaded 1000's of 9mm and 40's
  7. Welcome and I too am trying to avoid procedurals too
  8. So I took delivery of some Bayou 180 gr flat point bullets today and was getting ready to load a few and decided to measure the difference between the Berry's I had already loaded. The Berry's measure at 0.5965 and the Bayou came in at 0.6335, I had been loading the Berry's a tad long on OAL at 1.133 to help on pressure. I am loading titegroup 4.6 grains and out of my Glock 35 it makes major which is what I want. My question is how much of a pressure increase can I expect with the longer bayou bullets length with the same OAL. should I load a taste longer to eliminate increased pressure or drop the charge a tenth of a grain. Thanks for the knowledge out here!
  9. Thanks for all the input. Need to find another powder to use
  10. I have been reloading 9mm and 45 for a couple of years now. I have been shooting USPSA in production with a Glock 34. I use PB and 124 plated bullets with sucess, I have bought a Glock 35 that I want to build a limited gun with. my question is what are better bullet weights for loading a soft shooting major load. I will use Bayou bullets and need a little knowledge Yes I would like to shoot major with this.. the current powders I have are PB, Longshot, and Bullseye. Not fishing for loads just trying to gain knowledge in how 40S&W works. Thank you
  11. I guess I will tell her to go cheap for now, or just get a pair of inexpensive readers and have a non corrective lens ground for the other side. Thank you all for the replies
  12. The Optometrist told me she could probably help with that. I guess are a question would be with moving from stages is there any issues with depth perception involved?
  13. So I installed a set of Dawson Precision Sights on my 34 today. Fibre optic front sight thinking I should see it well. Well i could not focus very well on the sights.. I put my Reading glasses on and at Arms Link the red fibre glowed brilliantly. So the question is my far vision is good for a 57 year old guy but I do wear readers, is it prudent to have a set of glasses with the right eye lens like my readers and standard lens in the left. I am right eye dominant. Has anyone tried this? thanks
  14. Dkrad1935 thanks for listing the way you loaded the mags.. will try that later next classifier.. I was so nervous today and the head cold killed me. It was fun today all in all.. Did you load a 3 round mag for one stage?
  15. I am starting to load and test rounds for more accuracy and control. I have started shooting USPSA with a Glock 34 and not wanting to shoot major PF at this time. I see different load data for the different bullet weights and am interested in hearing the pros and cones between 115 gr, 124gr, and 147 gr.. I am wanting to digest all the info I can. I currently am loading 124 gr plated round nose and 124 gr plated HP.. in reading the 124 gr seems to be the most loaded bullet.. Thanks for all the input
  16. I would say IMHO that you might consider in vesting in the reloading equipment and start that route.. you want to reload if you are going to shoot much anyway.. play with your Glock and figure the reloading end out and as you learn the competition fun you will soon figure out which gun you like.. I jump and impulse buy all the time but with competition I am deciding what I want at a slow pace.. I have dove in feet first and trying different reloads for my Glock.. that is a art in its self..
  17. Antichrome I will probably venture down some time.. Old Fort shooting club?
  18. I believe I shot with you and your son in Centerton. It was my first match.. I am new here too. Nighthawk Custom academy ?
  19. I have found this forum helpful and thought I better join.. Started shooting USPSA and have reloaded for about 6 months.. Enjoy the threads and friendliness.
