I am in the same boat as you guys. I am small time gun collector and just started in USPSA shot many brands of guns the last 30 years but never a CZ. I need to get with someone at gun club and try one out but anyway I have given in to the urges too just like 2more above and already decided to go with a CZ. I first set a $1000 budget but the more I read about CZC and CGW Shadows the more I want one and probably leaning toward 75 Shadow SP 01 Item 91030 for $1300.
I know if I go with a cheaper one I will end up sending it in anyway and end up pretty close to $1300.
Thanks for all the good information guys!
The people at CZ Customs are good people to work with. It is where I have ordered my gun. Waiting "patiently" for them to start building mine. SDC 75 with SRT and Trigger job under $1150.. Great people to talk to

The choice for me is one gun for both SSP and Production.. I was trying to get a gun for both limited and ESP. and gave up that road and just decided on a 9mm. I wanted one gun to shoot verses 3. I knew the CZ would give me a trigger like my 1911 over the Glock 34 and 35.. I am 58 years old and the years are going by quick. and I want to move to A class within 5 years. one gun more trigger time on one platform

I too am one that gives in to the urges.. I have a 75 Shadow on order from CZ Custom and "patiently" waiting for it. The wait time is for the mods you said, SRT,trigger job, and hammer. This forum is the cause of the purchase and the fact I shoot to many platforms, Glock 34 and 35 and a STI 9mm. I want to have one platform to climb the class's in and plus bought a new XL 650 last month so I can make lots of practice rounds.

Brownells has the mecgar ones for $22.99

I put a order in for a SA/DA shadow from CZ Custom with some work to help butter the trigger. They said I should have it within 8 weeks. Order placed Monday

I do believe the "shadow" version is still legal. The "accu"-shadow is the one that is not. At least I hope thats the case
-
I just place d my order with CZ Customs for a 75 shadow (will be first CZ) and having the short reset installed before it is sent. was told 8 weeks out :-(
Giving up limited shooting and just shooting Production and SSP. want to be intimate and monogamous with just one trigger.. Soon to have a block 35 and 34 for sale
Just not ready to give up my ESP STI Spartan yet, love the trigger

I actually just got off the Phone with Dillon to get parts sent for the exact same thing. primers went kaboom and I still have not separated the inner tube from inside of the outer tube. Mine were winchester primers. some times they seat with a crunch. Customer asked if it was a piece of military brass that has not been swaged. that piece might have been. I do have GSR but no more. I thank dillon for building a safe safe safe system
No TV was on
No radio on
And I too need safety glasses close to.. And primer smoke in the afternoon not good

It wasn't that I want one gun for 4 platforms I enjoy shooting USPSA Limited and for that I prefer to shoot major although Minor could be a option, I guess I should have elaborated more in post, I would shoot the same gun in Limited and then load a minor load for 40 and shoot ESP in IDPA.. not SSP and Production also with same gun. That way I am shooting the same trigger all the time instead of my Glock 35 limited gun with a good trigger compared to my 34 with the polished trigger a then the 1911 with a good trigger. I just want to stay familiar instead of jumping around with different guns and triggers.. As far as capacity concerns in limited I guess you can put base pads in cz mags can't you? I haven't checked that yet..
I guess a SP-01 shadow might be the answer.. thanks
And I did call CGW today and the said that the only thing that might have to be done to shoot different classes Major/Minor is possibly change recoil springs to help the gun run.. and could do lots with the trigger too decocker or not. which I am still trying to keep the models straight on that too. to much info for my 58 yr old brain

Rowdy when you say dont do much to it, how much could a person do to improve the trigger? I am still so green as to this platform. My ultimate goal is o have one gun to shoot so I can concentrate on becoming a better shooter. Ot is tough at times to mentally change platforms, twice last weekend I had sometimers and forgot to dropp the safety twice on the 1911 sometimers issue. Thanks for replying

I have read all the great things about CZ's on this site all the rave reviews and have concluded I need a CZ. Problem i love shooting USPSA limited and IDPA this allows me to shoot 3 weekends a month. Currently I have a Glock 35 which is my Limited gun and a Glock 34 for Idpa prodution and a STI 9mm for ESP in IDPA. Is there a CZ that I could shoot both classes with the one drawback is the limited gun to shoot major PF has to be minimum 40 caliber. I know that hey with a CZ the gun is accurate enough just to shoot all A's, the Indian (me) isnt. I can reload to 40 minor for IDPA and shoot ESP with a gun and have zero problem with that. I guess I am needing guideance on which gun fits both classes. Thanks

I shoot USPSA and IDPA and need a CZ that will fit well in both classes.. I enjoy shooting limited in USPSA so I need a 40 cal and which gun would work as a limited and IDPA ESP. I reload so I could load 40 minor for ESP. Is this possible?
-
so when loading the CZ which I will have one soon, are they choosy about what the feed. My 9mm 1911 detests 124 grain flat point bullets or are they like glocks and eat just about anything just a short OAL?
-
I am a glock guy (for now) enjoy the trigger on my 1911, but I need to look into the CZ guns. being new to peaked interest in CZ's what is the models that will work in USPSA limited and or SSP and production. (this could get pricey)
All the talk about the triggers and reliability is a huge draw

So 58 years old I just came back from the Optometrist's office, I was fitted with contacts and my up close vision has vastly Improved but my distance is blurry which is just the opposite that I am used to. She said it takes the brain a couple of weeks to adjust to the change. I will see in a couple of weeks if the mono vision will work.

One other thing I have done especially in hot and humid conditions I have used bicycle inner tube on the grips

KKM Barrels

Drop in or fit barrel, which is the best choice?

I have just started dry fire regiment and already found major things to work on. I feel it will help tremendously. mine is just on a white wall and sight acquisition is much faster. like a golfer and his swing muscle memory

So recommendations for airsoft guns? and where is a reputable place to buy.. quality is paramount

I have considered the sams club bench. Another forum member said did not move at all. I currently have mine mounted on a solid old desk. To tall for a chair to short for standing. Mounted on a strong mount

So how long before you get classified. I have shot 7 or 8 matches and still unclassified?

I have loaded several of the 124 HP and they shot very well, I guess I need to try the 147 gr bullets I have never loaded any 147 just 135. I can't hardly notice the difference between the 124 HP or 135 rn
