  1. www.olegnikitin.com

This might help. He has pretty good section with 70+ pictures

Those pictures helped a lot. Certainly not the easiest dis/reassembly process, with the little safety detent parts. But I succeeded. Extended RHS safety fit perfectly. While I was at it, I switched out the front site too. A pain to hammer out and back in, but I did it.

    Ready for next Sunday's match!

  2. I think what he means is: I have a new extractor as a spare part from CZC, which is where I also bought my Shadow. I have the spare extractor just to have it with me at the range. All these spare parts are parts you hope you won't need while at a match.

  3. It sounds like you have more than enough to start competing. One thing you might look too is having some spare parts. Extractor and spring. maybe a firing pin, if you are reloading you need a tool you never want to use but need it anyway, a squib rod. just my opinion.. have fun

  4. I have the 75 Shadow, it is a DA/Sa gun with no decocker. There are several variants with the CZ 75. I believe the 75 Tactical has the decocker. I had a delima trying the best way to get the trigger all the way dropped to start legally in IDPA. All it took is for one person to show the safe way and zero issue or fear of a negligent discharge. And yes the reason I chose the one without the decocker was all my searching a CZ 75 without a decocker and FPB had the potential for the best trigger. It is my first CZ and so happy with the decision!

  5. I always had a issue with my draw. the swinging it out chicken wing method not pretty. I had a training class that told me the fastest part of the draw is not the right hand. the left hand will help you draw faster. If you get your left hand up to the center of your chest the right hand trys to work just as fast getting close to the chest to where the hands will meet and then drive the gun to the natural point of aim. We worked slow to begin with and within 20 minutes of slow to faster speeds I dropped 1/2 a second off the draw and was faster on target. I still continually work that with dry fire practice

  6. I had the opportunity to be one of 6 people that spent the day with A Master class shooter this past Saturday. One thing he explained to us lots of people dry fire which is a huge help, but he also teached us reverse dry fire. that is where you squeeze the trigger then hold it all the way back then rack the slide then ease off till the reset engages. rack the slide back and repeat not letting the trigger break but just get to the wall of the reset. when gripping the slide take your weak hand and hold it over the top of the slide to grip it and rack it. as fast as you can. In time you will condition your finger to stop right at the reset and rest against the wall. I do it sitting in a chair rack and reset over and over. I hope I explained it well enough

  7. So I loaded up some 124 gr extreme RNFP and did the plunk and twist test, and found I needed to load them very short 1.042 would twist fine. my question is a 2 fold one, Is the oal normal for that bullet?

will the 75 Shadow run that bullet meaning feed it well? these are some bullets I had loaded for my Glock. I load extreme 124 RN at 1.10 OAL no issue at all. I also took a fired piece of brass and the RNFP and pressed it into the barrel and eased the the case out several times and it was touching the rifling at 1.0625So that is how I came up with setting the OAL. anyone load these bullets. Thanks for the replies up front

  8. Mine too came loose within a week of receiving the gun. I re-zeroed the gun pulled out the set screw And marked the the spot on the dovetail where the set screw rested.. then took a 1/16" drill pit and placed a very shallow spot for the tip of the set screw to recess in and blue lactate

  9. Mike it was the Da-Sa model. The double action on the first shot is not a big deal when the action is so smooth. And the trigger job will include a lighter hammer spring and polished internals. The SRT disconnect is very nice. I slapped my trigger with Glocks. Th short reset on the CZ creates trigger control for you

  10. I think the rubber grips I want are the ones from the SP-01. Also I ordered my my Shadow from CZ Custom. I talked with Rob there. The people there Are very helpful. I ordered the base Shadow on there site for $850.00 and then added a trigger job with SRT And 85 trigger and recommender Hammer. The delivery time was shorter than they estimated the total shipped to me was $1125.00 Had I knob I would have ordered the grips then LOL

  11. The 75 Shadow is a legal gun for production in IDPA, the Accu Shadow was the one that received all the flak at the Nationals this year because of the machined bushing.. you can use the shadow also in ESP and also Limited minor in USPSA as well as production also. As Jay Dee says buy the nicest gun you can afford for the gun cost is deferred over years. I look forward to shooting my shadow and selling 1 or 2 of my Glocks. They have served me well. but we do all change and want new toys.

Also to the OP the shadow comes with the plastic grips from the factory. I plan on ordering some rubber grips soon as for now I have placed Skateboard tape and It improved the grip. as far as you stating the used gun was 50 to 100 dollars high in your opinion they will hold there value IMHO

  12. I just received my 75 Shadow from CZ Custom a couple of weeks ago. It has the FO front sight already installed, I also had the guys at the shop do the Trigger job there and had the good hammer installed with the Short reset trigger parts.. Awesome out of the box.. the support there is unbelievable. Te reason I let them do the work it was my first CZ and yes I watched Professor Atlas's tutorial I just wanted to run.. delivery time on the gun was 2 weeks. all under $1130.00 they are just one of the 2 highly touted shops here in the CZ world

  13. So today I picked up my 75 Shadow from CZ Custom. The FFL I had just so happens to have a indoor range too! And yes I brought bullets.. The sheet supped with the gun "target" was grouped the size of a half dollar, The trigger pul DA was 8 lbs and the SA 3 lbs and the reset OMG so short. My first CZ. Loaded a bunch of 124 gr with VV 320 at 1.10 oal, and darn there is a match tomorrow. Good times

And yes the Glock 34was shedding a tear

  14. I would highly recommend CZ Custom. I just received a email from them telling me they put my 75 shadow in the mail this afternoon. I ordered it 14 days ago ,talked to Rob there and had SRT trigger, new hammer and polish all internals for a hopefully wonderful trigger. I have never ordered a thing from them previously and all I can say a wonderful turn around time. Top notch people! Thanks to all on this forum that recommended CZ Custom..And no I am not a paid actor or paid company spokesman.. although I am open to offers… heheheheheh
