The longer OAL will not work in my magazines with the spacers installed. Without the spacers the magazines are not as reliable. I have tried charge whights from 7.8 not major up to 8.6gr (WAY MAJOR) wit the same results. I still get the unburned powder in the ejection port. I do not see any unburned powder in the barrel or in the comp after firing. It is only in the internals of the pistol. I am concerned if a piece of this gets on the sear it could cause a malfunction, or endup gumming the rails on the slide to frame with the same result.

I have started loading HS-6 for 9mm. The problem I am having is I seem to have a lot of unburned powder around the ejection port. Is this what a lot of members are talking about when they say the powder is dirty? The powder seems to be very linear in relation to the charge weight and velocity. How is the powder able to be so consistant without completely burning all the powder? overall I am pleased with the was the gun shoots with the HS-6. It is more accurate when loaded to 1.165, but the reliability is not 100%. When I reduce the OAL to 1.150 the accuracy suffers, but the gun is 110% reliable. I am suprised .015 can make such a difference in reliability. The bullets tend to nosedive on the feedramp when the load is over 1.150. BTW I am uaing WSP for my primers. Could this be why I have the unburned powder? Thoughts???

No the gun was built by Tommyguns in NC. He does some awsome work, and stands behind it 100%. His prices are also VERY reasonable for the amount of time he spends on his babies. Anyone that ownes one of his guns can attest to their accuracy and reliability.

Does anyone have any load data for 7625 for 9mm? My barrel is an STI S2 with no holes in the barrel (yet). Is it possible to load this powder to a 168-170 pf in 9mm? Any info is greatly appreciated.

If it's been shot 6 times, it must be in pretty bad shape LOL! At what distance did you shoot it? You know at most ranges all steel must be placed at least 10 yards. I must admit that is pretty impressive!

I've never had a problem with my recoil master. I have 25 thousand + through my limited gun without a bobble. BTW it is a light recoil master!! I had one put in my new open gun. I just picked it up today and have not shot it. I'll let you know how it works in the new heater.

I heard an interesting discussion from some friends at the range the other day. It seems they are using N330 in 9mm major. Has anyone else had any experience with this powder in their S_i's? If you have used it what is your barrel length, do you have any ports in the barrel? Does this powder have a large flash like some of the other VV powders? I know I know questions questions!!! Sorry, but I am new to open and appreciate any feedback.

I am trying to decide which way to go with my new open gun. Who uses spacers in their magazines? Who loads long? What are the pros and cons of each? The gun is a STI with the S2 barrel, no holes. My powder of choice is HS6, and the bullet is the 125gr Zero. My new heater will be delivered about the first week in December so I do not have a lot of time to order my magazines, have them tuned and delivered before my new pistol arrives. What do the masses think, load long with no spacers, or load short and use the spacers? HELP!!!
