  1. I have the EXACT same issue. I've decided to remove the safety and grind out a nice little curve from the bottom. This will resolve the pinch.
  2. I am looking to run 9mm Major (Open) and .40 S & W Limited. Currently, I use N320 - .40 SW 165gr. 5.2 gr. I am testing WAC 9mm 124 6.3-7.0 gr. I do not have a final formula for the 9mm yet.
  3. I"ve recently switched fro Frog Lube to Weapon Shield. Long term storage was on factor. FL seemed 'gunky' after stored for a few months. Weapon Shield is coming off a very slick, easy to work with (like any oil) and the grease is unsurpassed on my rails. I highly recommend Weapon Shield.
  4. Thanks for the information. That really does help in my evaluation. I think it best that I use separate powders for my 9mm major (3N38) and my 40 SW (N340). While not the most economical, it will generate optimal results.
  5. I loaded at 9.7. The range seems a tad narrow. I get +- .1 with my Lee Turret. I get what your saying and will adjust accordingly and with a little more confidence. Thanks
  6. just tried a few rounds of VV 3n38 with 165 FP. Per Vihtavouri's guide of 9.6 - 9.8 grains. produces +1250 fps and a pretty good fireball. I understand this means a lot of unburned powder. OAL was 1.126. Here is my question. What are the concerns with going under spec? And I mean in reference to this formulation. For Major i only need to keep above 1000 fps. Should I roll about 5 rounds each of decreasing powder amounts? If so by what value? would .5 gr.s be reasonable until I get a clean burn and good velocity. What is squib potential when going significantly below the minimum?
  7. I have had, once or twice, found I was alone pasting the entire stage. In both cases, everyone found themselves, eventually, standing and watching. I simply moved very slowly. I places every piece of tape very deliberately. The shooter stood and simply waited about 4 minutes for the 'Make Ready'. The RO simply waited to let the message sink in. On the last target, I decided to double back to see if I missed anything. By then everyone was watching. Everyone was on a target for the rest of the day and we taped as fast as we the scoring took. Things moved much faster.
  8. The Ghost holster has three white plastic screws to adjust the fit. I am trying to secure my TS .40 from rocking. Do you simply back out the largest of the three so that the gun rests on the screw? Or, does adjusting move some part inside the holster?
  9. Sent a PM requesting the spreadsheet. I am setting up the stages this weekend for dry fire practice this winter and spring.
