  1. Boston, if you haven't done so already, pick up Steve Anderson's first book "Refinement and Repetition". I would guess you are rushing to break the shot in dry practice hat is translating to jerking the trigger in live fire. Also, can I ask why you are using a Glock 22 in Production? Are you using factory ammo too? Not ideal for competition and Production. If you want to stay in Production, I'd go with the 17 instead or move up to the 34.
  2. Hey Guys, any word on if the Accu-shadow or Target Shadow are now legal for Production? Searched but could not find it. Thanks
  3. Guys that's what I needed to hear! Thanks
  4. As Steve says "That's how you doose it!" Keep practicing.
  5. I posted this in another forum but didn't get a lot of answers. I'm hoping the Enos crew can come through... Sorry if this has been asked but I searched and could not find it. I really like 10-8 sights http://www.10-8performance.com/products/1911-Low-Mount-Rear-Sight.html and was planning to get an Accu Shadow. First of all, is this possible for the Accu-Shadow? Second, how could it be done? Finally, do you have to use the CZ front sight or is it able to accept non-CZ sights without the pin? I'm converting from the world of Glock, so this is unchartered territory. Thanks all! SNY

Kneel, have you shot both? Did it make a difference? Is if splitting hairs and just go with the Target Shadow/Accu?

    CZ Noob questions

Okay, so it's not like the Glock 17 to 34 difference. I thought it was more. Thx again!

ftj, what does your bro think of his AUS? Thanks for the input on the Accu.

    CZ Noob questions

Hey all, I'm thinking of going over to the dark side from Glock but I have a few questions. I'm looking at the SP01 series. 1) What is the difference between the Accu Shadow and Target Shadow? 2) Is the extra cash for the Accu really worth it? I know it's not Prod legal yet... 3) What about the Aussie extra barrel length? Thanks for the help. This stuff gets confusing. SNY

    GEN4 Beavertail

So when would it (or is it already) legal for Production? Thx
  12. On March 23-24, Steve will be coming down to South Florida to give a 2 day Pistol Course at Okeechobee Shooting Sports. From Steve's website: This is a 2 day class with Steve Anderson to be held at the Okeechobee Shooting Sports facility March 23 and 24. Both days will start at 10 am and go until we get done. You will get the full Dry fire tune-up and the full Accuracy and Efficiency course and the 2 day format will allow more time for each skill, plus we'll be able to break down our class sample stage in even greater detail allowing for more gains. Range: http://www.okshooting.com/ Questions: steve@andersonshooting.com You can register by going to this page: http://shop.anderson...arch-23-24.html Hope to see some of you guys there!
  13. I'm in. Looking forward to it. Great opportunity..
  14. Okay, I found some threads similar to what I was asking and got an idea of what to do. Basically get a Dawson .190 front. I think Warren now sells the .190 front for the Pro, so maybe I'll try that. Thanks
  15. I'm using Warren Tactical sights with Tritium fronts on my M&P .45 mid size. I also shot a friends 9MM full size last week and experienced the same problem (he also had the same WTS set up). From zero to about 15 yards I shoot POA/POI on a sight on the bullseye (as opposed to the six o'clock hold). At 25 yrds. I'm aiming the same on the target but I'm hitting about 2" to 3" higher. For now, I just shift my aim at longer distances, but I'd rather not have to. I know with Glocks and Warrens you can get a .235 or .250 front sight to change the impact, but there is no such offering for the M&Ps. Anyone have a suggestion? Thx SNY

    G17 RTF

Where did you get it? Also, do you have any pictures to post!!! Thanks
  17. So I used a heat gun to heat the screw, but the thread was soooo stripped. I then used a 1/16 drill bit to cut the screw and used a sight pusher to get the sight off! I'm pissed but happy to put the new sights on.
  18. Great ideas guys. I will give it a shot...
  19. Hi guys, I run a 10-8 Performance front and rear in the .125 width on my G17. I'm interested in swapping to the .140 width, but encountered a problem with my rear sight. The gunsmith at the time looks like they used red loctite on the sight. I cannot get the screw out using my 1/16 allen key. Anyone have any ideas (the gunsmith has since moved...)? Thanks!
  20. Thanks again for all the help. I will be at the range today and look forward to trying all that was mentioned.
  21. Yeah, that's how I was taught.
  22. I shoot isoceles with a right hand grip (thumbs pointing down/overlapping). For me, I noticed that my group was much wider and there were a lot high and right. With the softer load I can make very nice groups. I am going to go to the range this week and confirm this assessment. Happy New Year!
  23. dirtypool, thanks for the post. Not to change my own topic, but the reason I was looking at IDPA was I thought they used standard firearms (eg. no scopes on pistols etc.) That's pretty much what I've seen with ISPC handguns. I might be wrong since I don't know much about IDPA. I'll look into it.
