  1. We as a country export food as we have a surplus...Why the hell do we have to import chickens???

Sorry for everyone that's lost a pet. I couldn't imagine losing my two Doxies to such idiocy.

  2. It would be nearly impossible to nick a nerve during thoracic cavity surgery.

Most likely it is referred pain....or some compression on the spine due to chest spreaders being used (most likely cause) Your nerves run along near the ribs and then under your arm.

Or, they didn't put enough padding on you while your were on the OR bed and had some impingement.

  3. Exactly why I don't watch professional sports anymore. These Jack-offs make millions, taxpayers get screwed for funding new stadiums, Steriods, drug charges, weapons charges, shootouts at night clubs.

    Who needs it?

  4. Okay, granted there are a lot of people in the world who don't know this, but it's really, really easy to verify an auto pistol is completely unloaded in even zero light. Just take the little finger of the non-dominant hand (the narrowest of your ten digits) and probe the magazine well, then the chamber. And I mean get your finger in there, feel that the chamber is unloaded. Maybe in the future at this match, they might give a minute-long block of instruction at the beginning of the match on how to do this, and then require every competitor to do it as part of UASC.

Please understand, not trying to be a smartass or a know-it-all, it's just that the problem experienced here is easily avoided with just a bit of knowledge. Over the years we've developed techinques to deal with checking that the gun is unloaded in low/no light. Maybe in the future at this match they can be used, and possibly avoid any future problems.

Good post. Its what i do at low light shoots. We do them here with rifles on occasion, so safety must come first.

  5. Try the dillon case gauge. I tried the EGW 4 caliber gauge and found the .40 to be a little tight.. Much tighter than my barrel or my dillon gauge. The 9mm and 38 super seem to be spot on.

I take my rejects from the dillon and drop those in the barrel, and a few won't fit.

With the EGW undersize die, i found i had to put a 'little more bell' onto the case mouth, i'd get the bulge especially with lead bullets, vs. plated or fmj's.

  6. Would you chrome a stainless steel gun?

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.

    -Cuz.

I had my Springfield Stainless loaded hardchromed. Now the slide and frame fit better and the gun cycles better. It got rid of the galling i was experiencing. Plus I polished to slide to a high chrome finish. Instant Pimp gun.

  7. That would explain it...the 38 super fit, but the gun wouldn't go into battery.

I'll check the 38 super and fit and finish it to the super comp aftec.

Its an SV nitride coated barrel, maybe that's why they didn't cut a relief.

Good Going at the DTC Dave!!!

  8. Dude, it's just an inconvenient truth, and sooner or later you're going to have to deal with it.

    :D

    Dude,

I'm in New Mexico.....Its already hotter than a sexyLatina, and drier than a 70 year old prostitute.
