  1. I had a kaboom with about 100 primers in the tube. Severe nuclear meltdown. Dillon replaced everything ASAP.

The primer plate was not dropping unused primers, it tried to feed a primer under a new one, the entire stack went off.

I have sinced polished the new primer plate to allow them to drop, and if something goes fubar when i reload, i check that tray for any primers and promptly remove them.

  2. USPSA should be a sport where everyone is welcome and anyone can play.

SSD if fine with the current caliber configuration, manufacturers make them in many different calibers, pick what you want to shott and go for it.

SSD and L-10 are a win win in my area. They are two of the largest divisions at the club matches i put on. :)

Open only has anywhere from 1 to 3 shooters...

Production is on the move as well, we had 14 out of 45 shooters play in that division.

It's all good from where i stand.

  3. Our last match here had 45 shooters including second guns.

We start at 9am (or so) and finish up around 1pm.

We charge 10$ for one gun 15$ for two.

I let new shooters shoot their first match for free.

We only do 3 stages plus the classifier as we only have 4 bays, ergo why we shoot second guns. Our range is public, but is taken care of by the city. We have 2 other clubs within 50 miles of where i live, we pull alot of shooters from those locations.

In my experience, it is just location. Some places are just more convenient than others.

It sounds like you do a high quality match.

  4. If STI can get their Edges and and Eagles to run flawlessly, or with a little tuning from a smith. Then logic would dictate they can do the same with a SS .40.

My Trojan 40 runs. I had to tweak the Tripp mags, but it runs.

With the .40 the mags seem to be the big factor for malfunctions, once the feed ramp geometry is changed.

My friends Kimber stainless in .40 had similar mag issues.

I think these problems will be fixed in the near future.

  5. I replied:

    1. No

    2. Yes

    3. No

Walls and props are hard cover, Just because its mesh doesn't mean you can shoot through it. I', not about to spent 24 hours building solid walls for a stage at a local match just because of some guy that wants to push the envelope.

The gun is in the box, didn't say if lid is closed.

I wouldn't because of what Flex said..It is a per shot penalty...I don't want to be down 20 points...10 might be OK, It would depend upon the COF

  6. Sorry to hear.

    The 25-2's are cool guns.

The 550 is a great reloader, i use it for my 45acp and 38 spl for my 625's and 686's. It does require attention when something doesn't feel right.

I wear one of those Head mounted LED rigs when i reload. I look right into the case on position two at every fill.
