Need to buy some primers for the first time in years. Wolf primers are approx $10 less per 1000 than Winchester or Remington at Powder Valley but, are they any good? Use for matches, just practice, or neither? I shoot 38 Super Open gun and have been using Winchester primers for years. Any feedback on current Wolf primers appreciated, thanks.

On the recommendation of a few people I am working up a load to try in my Brazos Pro Sx 38 super using HS6. A general question regarding HS6. Is it a very dense powder? A 9.5 gr charge seems to only fill about 2/3 of the case and I am used to other powders filling up most of the case at that same weight? I zeroed my scale and yet this is what I get. Is it just a more dense/heavier powder and therefore takes up less space or do I need to see what is wrong with my scale. Secondly, can anyone with a Brazos Pro Sx that uses the HS6 powder fill me in on what load you have. I use 125 jhp's. Thanks for the help.

This past weekend I decided to bend the support arm so that the arm angles away from my body and does not dig into my leg as much. I followed the instructions Saul included here and it was a piece of cake. Much better now, solves the problem completely, and is an easy fix.

Received my new Double Alpha Race Master holster (STI) and belt from CED this morning. First impressions: 1. Design and construction is excellent. First class workmanship all the way. 2. Double Alpha two piece belt that came with it is also excellent. Inner belt seems a little more comfortable than others and the outer belt is very stiff, no torquing when the gun is drawn.. 3. The fit of the belt hangers is very tight and it took quite some effort to get the holster on the outer belt. Once on, and tightened, it is not going to move. 4. All adjustments of the holster itself are easily done. Most can be done with holster on, the only one that really can't is the height (up/down) adjustment. All tools necessary come with the holster. 5. The locking mechanism is awesome. Gun slips in, locks in place, and it is rock solid. No movement at all. 6. Drawing from this holster is better than any I have ever used. I have had CR Speed, Ghost, etc. and this is far above either of those in terms of ease of draw. There is also a tension screw adjustment that allows you to increase or decrease the resistance of the draw. So, first impressions are all excellent, there doesn't seem to be a downside to this holster. Will work with it at the range tomorrow but I think it is a keeper! I will be curious to hear the thoughts of others as they arrive. Post your comments.

DougCarden, Absolutely right on, thanks for the suggestion. All I had to do was make a new "small" spring and it works perfectly again. This place is the best, thanks everyone for the help.

Thanks, have taken everything apart and cleaned slide and raceway (no lube). Actuator arm moves freely and rubber tit is good. Will go check the spring and make a new one and see what happens.

OK, so I will try to explain this as "neatly" as I can. On my Super 1050 the primer slide is not being fully pushed into position on the downstroke, it gets most of the way in and then stops just short of "full insertion". So, at the end of the downstroke, the primer "cup" on the slide is not fully lined up and the downstroke can not be completed. I watched the operation very closely and here is what I see. Normally, the post that holds the toolhead ratchet slides through the groove of the Primer arm/cam assembly (PA/CA)and, at the bottom of its travel, it causes the primer slide to be pushed all the way into position under the shellplate. On mine, it now seems that the post loses contact with the rounded surface of the PA/CA near the bottom of the stroke. Therefore, the primer slide never gets pushed all the way into position. So, ideas and suggestions? Could either the post or the rounded portion of the "groove" on the PA/CA be worn and need replacing? Other possibilities? Thanks for the help.

William is a friend of mine and one of my USPSA "students". I am glad he posted this experience to the BE forums for all to see. My hope, and I know his as well, is that someone out there will learn from his mistake and, hopefully, will not make the same one in the future. Luckily, he is going to be fine and he can now feel good about posting this for all to see.

Yes, the redesigned powder funnel that Rick sent me does help the sticking problem. I would say it is 80%-90% better than before so I am very happy with the change. Rick was super in helping me solve the problem and his bullet feeder is the best!

I have been in touch with Rick at Mr. Bullet Feeder and he has been really informative about this issue. They have redesigned and recontoured the powder funnel to address this sticking issue. I am going to order one and see what kind of difference it makes. Will let you know.

I have had my Super 1050 and Mr. Bullet Feeder for quite a while and need to ask a question. I switched it over to do 9mm and it works perfectly. Except.......... one annoying little thing. On the upstroke the Mr. Bullet Feeder supplied powder funnel "catches" on the way out of the case mouth and you get a little "stick" on the upstroke. It "catches" just a little and then you continue on the upstroke and everything is fine, until the next cycle. I have taken out the powder funnel and polished it with Flitz and I have rubbed the end of the powder funnel with a "Cling Free" sheet and it still does it. If I back off the powder die to lessen the "stick" then it does not bell the case mouth enough to properly activate the bullet drop. So................any other suggestions? Thanks.

Preparing ammo for Nationals. Has anyone found N105 to be reverse temperature sensitive? I have been doing some chronoing in the high heat to simulate Vegas temps and it seems that the higher the temperature= a lowering of the fps and pf. Just wanted to see if other N105 users have found this to be the case.

Thanks for all your responses, so far it seems that we have heard both sides. Sounds unanimous that it is certainly slower but................is it allowed or not? Let it go or procedural? Is there anything in the rulebook that directly addresses this particular instance?

Need help in advance. We set up Mini Mart (99-21) for our match tomorrow and some of the guys were questioning if something were "legal" or not. Procedure says: Start Position: Standing behind counter, both wrists above respective shoulders, loaded gun and magazines to be used on the shelf under the counter. Gun must be on it side - not propped up by any artifical means. Magazines may be flat or on edge on the shelf. Neither the gun nor the magazines may extend beyond the open edge of the shelf. Stage Procedure: Upon start signal, from behind the counter engage T1 - T3 with only two rounds per target. Then make a mandatory reload with a magazine taken from the shelf and from behind the counter engage T1 - T3 with only two rounds per target. Question.............. On beep can the shooter take the mag from the shelf as prescribed, put it on the table, and then do the reload from the table? He did do the reload with a "magazine taken from the shelf", he just put it on the table after he took it from the shelf and then did his reload from the table. Or, MUST he do the reload straight from the shelf? Is this clarified in the rulebook somewhere? Many thanks in advance, just want to clarify so RO's all do it the same way tomorrow. Help this afternoon or evening appreciated.
