I remember when WW changed to non-plated.  A lot of suspicious folks and conspiracy theories back then.

Turns out they're cheaper to make and work as well, but it took them a while to be accepted.

They may work as well in terms of going "bang" reliably.  But the quality sure has gone down.  I have two PAL fillers and three 1050s, and the only primers I have feeding issues with are unplated Winchester.

"Is USPSA's 501(c)(3) status impacts by the lack of corporate standing?"

I don't think the lack of corporate standing impacts tax exempt status as that can be remedied fairly easily and actions taking during the revocation period are given full effect once the issue is resolved.  But, failure to file required IRS Form 990, Return of Organisation Exempt from Income Tax, for three consecutive years typically results in automatic revocation (of tax exempt status).  And from what I can see on the IRS website, USPSA hasn't filed that form since 2020.  So, . . .

If we need votes to make a change, are we going to ask members to vote, or are we going to ask former members to give us their opinion

And what do members get to vote for?  AD?  Figurehead president with no power?  Big whoop.  Like that's going change anything.  Hasn't in the past, and won't in the future.

So, if you were to donate a pint of blood, could you be removing up to 10% of the lead in your body?  This could be done a few times a year, right???

That's correct.  And they'll be happy to have it.

  5. A longer link isn't an issue if the rest of the barrel install is done correctly.  And changing the link will have zero impact on the overhang anyway, unless the VIS cut on the frame is way off.  If you have issues with the bullet nose hanging up on the overhang, you can move the bottom surface forward without hurting anything as the top round should be impacting at least half way up the feed ramp, not down on the bottom.

That would be for a DA/AG to enforce in a criminal case. This is a civil, not criminal issue.

Not sure what you think I said, but noncompliance with filing requirements is not a criminal matter.  And questions regarding powers of officers and directors of a void corporation would be matters for the chancery court (DE), not criminal court.

Additionally, the complaint is signed under penalty of perjury. If the complaint contains materially false statements then USPSA could counter-sue and the plaintiff could find himself in legal jeopardy.

That's correct.  And the lawyers, if they did so knowingly, or even negligently, could be subject to sanctions and/or disciplinary action.

I just pointed out that this statement was not accurate. It is in fact highly likely and quite common that untrue or misleading allegations would be included in a lawsuit.

How is the statement (regarding their corporate status as alleged in the complaint) not accurate?  It's already proven to be true.

you seemed confident that no one would sue without being factually correct in their filings. I pointed out that the vast preponderance of evidence shows otherwise. Lawsuits are often used as bullying or harassment, or simply continued whining by people that didn't get their own way. That may not be the case here, but no reasonable person would assume that a statement was factually complete and correct just because it was included in a lawsuit.

Again, not sure what any of that has to do with what I posted.  The corporate status alleged in the filing, which is what I commented on, has already been verified by numerous individuals on this board, with the results posted above.  I don't know the facts of the dispute, so I never expressed an opinion as to the validity of the underlying claims.  I'm not sure what you're beef is, but I don't see any "vast preponderance of evidence" that what the guy alleged is factually incorrect, or that his suit is intended to "bully, harass, [etc.]."  The fact that you don't like it means nothing.  And attacking me for things that have nothing to do with what I posted, is pointless.

I don't understand tax law, so I'm not sure what the Delaware stuff was or what it has to do with anything. Anybody that does understand it and wants to spell it out for me please do. I assume that since USPSA is a national organization it has to file some stuff in every state? That seems redundant but that could make sense because tax law doesn't need to make sense 🤣🤣

They are a DE corporation, so they have to comply with DE law in terms of filing requirements, etc.  Failure to comply with those requirements typically impacts the legal status of the corporation, which is what's being alleged here.

Exactly, because dishonesty, BS and bad faith *never* occur in lawsuits, and no one ever uses our legal system just to harass people because they've got time on their hands.

Not sure what that has to do with what I posted.  Do you really think they put that in the complaint without checking first?  If you really think it's BS, for $10 and about five minutes of your time you can find out for yourself on the DE SOS web site.

What does the tax status or any corporations code violation have to do with a suspension of a member?

There's a good reason this site doesn't allow distractions with legal and political systems.

Failure to follow state filing requirements and/or articles of incorporation has legal implications for officers and directors of the corporation.  Again, this is all basic corporate law.  If the allegations are true, it's a pretty sad state of affairs.  And that's just the corporate status part of it.  What happened with the particular individual involved is a whole separate issue.

  12. Wow!  Highly unlikely they'd include the allegations about corporate status in the complaint if those weren't already verified as true.  So, looks like the organisation and named individuals have a real problem on their hands.  Same for their corporate counsel.  That's pretty basic stuff.  So, a real screw-up on their part.

Totally agree.  As for shooting factory 9, a dot gun with minor pf means far less time spent on shooting skills vs. course negotiation, so there's practically no range time and therefore reloading is less attractive.  Also, matches around here are sometimes 75+% newbies who get their info from the internet gun experts.  So, they're all down for looking cool, having the latest gear (gotta be a 9 w/a dot) and LARPing.  I mean, it's pretty standard now for dudes to show up for a match with an IFAK, including obligatory tourniquet, glow sticks, and all kinds of other kit.  Kinda nuts.

It’s going to be the next hub thing.  Funny too, when the concept was rolling out, most of the  guys and shops were pumping out commander length-ish size 2011s.  Many of the post I see are fashioning towards the 5” now.  Is that just the “bigger is better” mentality or has there been a change in the whole ‘commander works better for 9mm approach?
I’m sure we’ll all end up with one of both anyway.  😂

Internet experts decided that 4.5/4.6 was optimal, and the sheep followed.  I've found that for 9mm 2011, anything from 4.25 Commander length to 5.0 Govt Model size works just fine.  Comes more down to personal preference.  The Prodigy I built is a 4.25 with a titanium grip and the gun is so light it feels like a squirt gun.  Shoots fine, but coming from a 5.4 Limited gun, it's kinda weird.  Next LO build will probably be 4.5 of 5.0 with a steel grip and maybe even XWF frame.  Since there's no recoil to start with, the weight isn't really necessary.  Just want to make it closer to what I'm used to.
