  1. I have a Liberty Lincoln, which is about the same except for size. I was not too thrilled with the build quality or finish of the safe considering the price. The hinge pockets were literally stapled into place, several of the adjuster rails were bent pretty bad, and overall, it was not what I expected for that kind of money. Also found their customer service lacking. The configuration of the model I bought was really inefficient and when I contacted them about getting some replacement shelves made up, they were not willing to even consider anything other than the stock configuration. So I ended up making my own shelves and scrapped the ones that came with it.

  2. Bullseye is good stuff. A lot of people think that newer powders are better, but for a fast burn rate, Bullseye is tough to beat. Back when I was building custom 1911s, the few that I put on a rest all shot around a half inch at 25 yards with loads using Bullseye and 200g LSWCs. I shot Bullseye in .40 (limited gun) for a long time, but switched to N320 mainly because the US distributor is about 15 minutes from me.

  3. Btw, in the 4.25" gun the tungsten guide rod works great with a 13# recoil spring (124g FMJ w/4.0g N320).

Ive been giving heavy consideration to getting the tungsten guide rod for my 4.25", i am already running the 13# spring on the stock captured rod. Have you noticed a significant amount of improved muzzle flip with the tungsten guide rod? It seems to me that would be the only improvement over the stock rod.

It does reduce muzzle flip. But to me it also improves the feel of the gun in my hands. But that could be personal preference. I'm used to a long dust cover SV limited gun.

  4. Only issues I've had with them is that some times items aren't in stock and you have to deal with backorders and generally shipping is very slow. But otherwise, they're pretty good to deal with. I purchased some M&P mags from them and they were brand new, current style, and arrived in about a week.

  5. I'm still thinking this through, but most likely will make up some kind of mount for the base of the feeder and then weld that to a piece of pipe that's attached to a flange base. Then bolt the whole thing to the bench. Only somewhat complicated part is mounting to the base of the feeder. And that's not really complicated, it's just a matter of getting around what's there and coming up with something that's solid and not too heavy. I'll post up some photos when I get around to doing this.
