  1. do you guys use a calipers or the starret caliper on brownells?

    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=12628/Product/STARRETT-1911-AUTO-SLIDE-RAIL-MICROMETER

this thing cost a fortune? any other way of measuring the legs of the slide without breaking the bank?

I had measured the end of the slide and it was 0.120 in. on each leg. the frame's height is 0.106 so this means need to cut .014 in.

that I would be cutting 0.012 in each leg right? gave a leeway of .002 thousands of in just in case.

  2. Shooterbenedetto,

I believe I have this same VFD I had bought off fleebay also. I installed it on my South Bend 10 lathe. When I turned the VFD on the cooling fan runs and the led lights. When I press "RUN" I hear a whining in the motor but it does not turn.

Any ideas? I'm lost and not great with electronics.

    thanks,

    danny

Mine did the same and realized that my brake on the mill was on. Make sure your motor moves freely.

also what is your PD003.PD004,PD005 setting set at? I had it set at 50.00 for all.

  3. 1 ounce of olive oil, shot..1 ounce of apple cider vinegar, shot...1 ounce of lemon!

lots of water!! like 10+ bottles going all night..passed it the next day its amazing this

works! I went to ER before doing this and they told me to drink pain killers and drink plenty of water, not to

mention I had a fever?...dumb doctor? I went home and searched home remedy for kidney stone.

try it and you will be fine. Good luck.

  4. Didnt see any output when it ran? but it did say LU on the screen after

you did the programming initiation. After 2 days of searching and googling,

I stumbbled on a forum and found the fault code for this VFD. entered it and bam!

it works awesome! got variable speed by increasing or decreasing the frequency,

able to set the spindle stop and what ever time I want, so i set it at 2 seconds.

this thing is great! didnt need a rotary or static converter that cost more than $500

to get the mill going. I'm happy. starting to fit a customer's open gun..time to fit the slide.

The seller emailed me after 2 days for the instructions that is like 50 pages! sooo much parameters

comands. I think I will purchase another VFD for my future lathe.

  5. So, I bought this 2hp 1.5kw huanyang VFD on EBAY for my Bridgeport J head 1hp and this thing wont work?

Instructions said to connect input to RST for 3phase or just connect R,T for single phase then ground.

did this and the unit powered on! then programmed it that said pd0013 to 08, pd005 value to 400,pd004 to 400

pd003 to 400. this was necessary otherwise the vfd will dump too much current and burn the motor.

Finally connect the 3 wires from my 3phase motor from the bridgeport DIRECTLY to UVW output, but nothing happens?

since I only paid $106 shipped for this and comes with 2yr warranty I thought it was worth a try.

I also paid with paypal just in case things didnt workout to get refund right away.

    Any input would be great!

  6. Thanks for all the reply! already set up a shirt exchange with a shooter.

Will just buy a converter at best buys. Cant really live without my laptop.

My last match today! shot solid and safe..then practiced head shots at different

distances with precision shooting with weakhand on head shots and weakhand on swingers.

Dint bother the strong hand since I shoot it everytime.

  7. Night before the match, pasta with chicken breast.

the next morning small bowl of fruits with oatmeal sprinkle with granola

and lots of water. If im in a hurry, just get the fruit parfait at mcdonalds.

during match by lunch, turkey sandwich, trail mix, frozen grape gatorade and water bottles.

  8. Justaute, I would love if EFK had them in stock. It would ease my conversion quite a bit. I spoke with Bobby Carver about just mounting one of his comps on an extended barrel and he said it would work fine. I just need the extended barrel is the only problem.

shooterbenedetto, I'm not too worried about the resale value. If the worst came and I needed to sell it I could sell all the components pretty easily and the only hit I would worry about would be the barrel and comp. I did email Jimmy Vidanes and haven't heard back from him. I have a few other guys that I think are going to give it a try for me though. I'm waiting to finalize some details and hopefully I can get it started..

I couldnt resist. so i'm selling my CZ to help fund my World shoot expense.
