  1. where is brian mr enos when you need him....calling brian to the rescue? how will he shoot this? hope he answers. so far all his tips worked on my shooting.

    i agree on 2154s works for me....

  2. after reading all the respose on speed vs accuracy, i agree with max to have speed...

    i currently just got my a card because of my speed.. but because of my a card, i slowed down a bit and tried to see good shots and get points a lot more. i also paid attention more on setting up my gun, see if i can gain some advantage there. i recently ported 2 holes on my barrel.shooting 9mm in open and just put a tungsten rod. for 3 weeks now, i tend to over swing the gun because of the rod but now, i have adjusted to it but i feel that im slow in my stage time.this week, i willtry to shoot the gun with no mdification and focus on speed to see where i place on my local match.

  3. You realize that probably nobody in the US shoots modified, right?

    i plan on using c more as im use to it on my open gun. i m currently an A shooter

    in open, and i plan to be master class this year. building this gun will make a backup gun

    so i can shoot in my local matches. whn my open gun breaks down. who knows, if im good enough, i will compete in international IPSC under modified division. i think i may have a chance since there isnt a lot of competitor in this division.

  4. hello shooter experts, i have a limited stainless paraordnance in .040 and would

    like to turn it into modified gun division. i have invested a trigger drop in to 2lbs, have

    (2) 170mm and (3) 140mm sti para mag. and ice magwell. do i build the gun from this or

    do i sell it and get a long dust cover sti and build one similar to sv modified gun( love that gun) i wonder if it shoots flat?

    1) what would be cheaper to go.

    2)should i build it in 9mm or .40 cal

    3) i have a lot of 9mm (15k) / no .40 bullets but have a lot of brass in .40

    4)im in california so, chances of me finding long dust cover sti are slim.

    5) i have $500 to $750 to spend now.

    so, if i do this, i get to shoot in open modified division and at least i would have an open backup gun.

    any suggestions would be appreciated...

  5. hello every one,

    I need help on steel load. i have an sti whith a lightened slide, fluted barrel,cmore

    and yanek comp. first time steel challenge. and your average ipsc B shooter.

    1) is it worth it to buy a marvel .22 conversion to use for practice? or is it

    better to practice with 9mm steel load.money is no object

    2)how do i get the gun to shoot like a .22 from 9mm {what is the best steel load

    with lowest possible recoil}

    i tried a 5lbs spring and cut 2 coils for a factory pmc 9mm load. its ok but is

    there a lower load than this? have lots of 124g zero bullet with vvn350 i use this

    for ipsc load but never tried to load for steel..

    ANY RESPONSE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

  6. im using 9mm open gun, made by jojo vidanez in norco, 124g vv n350 5.3 and it shoots

    great for me. spring is 5lbs but cut 2 coils. i tried 5.0g and it also worked.

    will try a 4.7 see if this will cycle the gun. note? 5.0 shoots preety soft already.

  7. B) im shooting this the first time, im local in CA about 30 min to piru

    i have been dry firing at home on a daily basis for the last month or so,{draws}

    practiced twice only at piru, really curious on how i would do on match day.

    need pointers dont know how the squadding would be? and just want to clarify

    do i pick up the squading info packet on thurs? i can only shoot on weekend and

    i was told by m.fichmman that he can squad me on sat shoot.
