  1. Took mine out and shot about 125 rounds of my 1 oz. reloads with International clays - no problems at all. Ran 10 rounds of Remington Low Recoil slugs and - no problems, shot at point of aim. I did clean in really well before I shot it, and followed the instructions in hte manual on lubrication. This is my first 930 Mossberg. I am really impressed. I have changed the shims on the stock and put the .250 drop on, because I do need it to fit my stature, I have not shot it after re-shimming. I really like this shotgun.
  2. What, who and where is JSC? Link? I need to reduce their inventory by one! Thanks Its a wholesaler, FFL sales only I could sell you one, it would be just as expensive as Bud's. I had been waiting, watchingtheir webiste, visiting everyday several times a day, and then they appear, and I pounch, should have mine by next Tuesday. These things went quick, I was online at 8am MST and the Dayton hub only had 3 left in stock, by 10am they were all gone. Good luck.
  3. Just ordered mine this morning from JSC. They only had 3 in stock, now they have 2. Looking forward ot the brown truck stopping by the house in the near future. As soons as i get it, I will be heading out the the range at lunch time (if it arrives next week), and run a few hundered rounds thru it and will report back.
  4. Here's mine. The rest of the room to the left of the picture has my safe, shotshell reloading bench, and cleaning/maintenace area. I am most happy when I am in my room.
  5. The easiest way to remove plastic in your shotgun barrel is a trick taught to me by an old trapshooter. Use a Hoppes Tornado brush, a short length of rod, insert rod into cordless drill and run drill in and out of end of barrel. Only the lst 12 to 10 inches should have the wad residue, so no need to go the whole length of the barrel. Works evertime, and no need for messy cleanup, barrel looks like brand new.
  6. Why not carry the Glock? You are comfortable with its fire control system, and ease of carry. If you went to a cocked and locked 1911 type, think about getting a good safety, that will require a positive force to remove and good holster that either covers the trigger guard or secures the gun with a thumb snap. For what it is worth, I shoot a STI .40 in limited, but carry either a Sig P228 in 9mm or a Ruger SP101 in .357 mag. The wheel gun is usually carried in the summer, easy to slip it into a pocket, or tuck it into my hip at the waistband. The Sig has plenty of power with +p+ corbons in it. The 357, well, the 125 JHP screamers have a great history of stopping power, if not deafening power. Och those things are loud without muffs!
