  1. Last year at the Rocky Mountain 300 I had an ammo can with my G17 mags in it, my friend was supposed to watch it for me when I hit the bathroom........ Got home and had a few mags missing. Not misplaced either, I searched EVERYWHERE. Only think I can think of is someone helped themselves to a few.
  2. I'd be interested as well so I can run a limited gun and my 9mm for IDPA

  4. I just came down with some Bells Palsy, I have no choice but to keep my weak eye open, I can't blink it! In all seriousness though tape over your glasses for a few range trips should fix you right up
  5. This is for Colorado IDPA enthusiasts, they may be trying to ban our mags and what not, but we are forging on so we can enjoy our sport. In order to be better informed I created a Google group for IDPA announcements in Colorado in general. If you like IDPA sign up for match announcements, cancellations and all IDPA info. If you know a match director please have them contact me so I can add them and they can make announcements for their respective IDPA clubs. 6. Hello All, As some of you may know there was a test IDPA style match held out at CRC (Colorado Rifle Club) a few months ago, and it was determined that we are moving along with another IDPA club due to a great turnout. We look forward to offering another IDPA Club for shooting enthusiasts to attend in Colorado, as well as offering another classifier event to the ColoradoFront Range area! We look forward to seeing you on the range! Info: ECOIDPA - http://www.ecoidpa.com Hosted at Colorado Rifle Club - http://www.crci.org/ When: 4th Sat of the month starting in April 2013. Times: Setup - 8am ($5 Match fee discount for those helping with setup), New Shooter Meeting (Mandatory for all new IDPA Competitors) - 9am Shooters Meeting - 9:30am, First Shot - 10:00am Cost: Match fee $20 ($15 if you are there and help with setup) Questions: See the website or email the match director at kris@ecoidpa.com I understand there are other events that fall on the 4th Saturday of the month, and the determination was made to hold the matches this day so that we are not conflicting with our fellow Colorado IDPA clubs. Unfortunately there was never a perfect day to hold the matches that would allow a conflict free situation across all the shooting disciplines.
  7. Ok I've been scouring the Internet for anything on this (and there isn't a this is what this does type answer anywhere) but from what I can gather is the extra power striker springs are to ensure that you don't have any FTF's from hard primers. It also decreases lock time somewhat. What I can't find is that if you put in an extra power spring if it will or will not increase trigger pull. I have read that reduced power striker springs can reduce trigger pull weight by up to 1 1/2lbs! I'm going to call Wolff and just ask them.
  8. That was awesome, it's great to see him out there shooting!
  9. So reduced power springs will lighten trigger pull it seems and possibly cause light strikes with some primers? What do extra power springs do? I got the Wolff spring pack and got extra power springs with it. I don't want to increase trigger pull, and I haven't had any light strike issues (I'm just running stock XDm firing pin spring) so I haven't used the extra power springs yet. Any reason to?
  10. Nice looking gun, any vids of it running?
  11. Ok so let me start smaller, what does the extra power striker spring for?
  12. I replaced my stock (and very worn out) recoil spring with Wolff springs. The package came with extra power striker springs.... What exactly do these do? I've read they reduce lock time, and I have also read they increase trigger pull weight. Are those both correct? I haven't installed them yet, wanted to check it out a bit first. I am going to be doing a trigger job soon, looking for a lighter pull, but if decreasing the lock time is worth it, I can sacrifice a little on trigger weight if lock time is a bigger benefit. Suggestions? Ideas?
  13. Got the 9L today, only had time to fire 1 mag through it, but I was stacking shots after the 1st 4 (took me a bit to get used to the hinged trigger) after that I had a great group. Seems like I got lucky and got one with a good barrel. That was only at 7yds though, will get some distance in the next time I shoot and see how she does.
  14. I've had 5 XDM's now....when I started out I bought the 3.8" because it looked neat (yeah yeah I know), had that in .40 and 9mm, sold those off and got 4.5's.... I run a stock one except the sights at competitions and I am consistantly top 1-2. Going to do some trigger work on it soon and hopefully get even better. I love mine, fits my hand the best out of all the pistols I have had so far (I shot Glocks previously) I have an M&P on the way to try out as well, but so far I love my XDM.
  15. Both of my Pros shoot fine, neither need an after market barrel......your mileage may vary. I get that from a lot of shooters...until I put a 5" plate out at 40 yards and they can't hit it. I hand them mine, down in 1 shot...then their 9mm Pro no longer shoots fine. What have you done to yours?
  16. I shoot Glocks, and XDM's mainly, but my friends talked me in to an M&P to try out (whaaaaat? Yep I shoot em all) One guy had issues with his accuracy out of the box, so he dropped a barrel in it and it works great, the other guy's gun was dead on out of the box. I found a new 9L for sale and bought it, I'll let you know how it does once I get it (should be here monday) I plan on gutting it anyways, but I was hoping for a decent barrel so I could wait to change that. Now that I will have what I call the "Big 3" in polymer guns, hopefully I can pick just one and stick with it LOL
  17. Hello all, USPSA, IDPA and a new Steel shooter here, not really sure why I didn't know about these forums before, but I finally made my way here! Hope to learn a lot, and contribute where I can. Kris
