Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. i am looking for a mechanical fix...there must be differences from gun to gun as far as how much the trigger has to move forward for the trigger to reset...i am only experiencing the failure to reset the trigger or "trigger freeze" with my limited gun...
  2. i am a bad shooter and tend to not allow the trigger to travel forward the requisite distance in order for it reset...without sacrificing safety, is there a way to speed up trigger reset...possibly reduce the amount of travel the trigger has to go forward?...thanks in advance for any replies...
  3. i see some upcoming matches have "tournament status: pending"...what does it mean to have a match sanctioned by uspsa or ipsc?...
  4. to me, the most equitable would be order of finish with division winners walking the "combined" prize table first and then followed by the rest...everyone's order of walking of the prize table, including division winners, is determined by their division point totals...with this method, i realize that the sole revolver shooter (not knocking revo guys) might be the first to walk the prize table, but he or she earned it by winning his or her division... until such time the sandbagging problem is resolved, class winners should continue to receive trophys or plaques but by no means walk the prize table before their order of finish...to do otherwise, only encourages further sandbagging... i don't like the random drawing idea...although the prizes to me are a minute factor in why i compete, they are still a factor...reward shooters that put in the time, energy and money to be the best they can be...by shooting good and walking the prize table early, they might actually get something they can use, sell or give away...just my dalawa centavos...
  5. at the area 2, speed shooters was selling gun covers which you could put on your holstered gun and zip up...the cover appears to be designed for use with a limcat or ghost type holster...my question is, once the cover is on the gun and zipped up and for all intents and purposes "bagged", is it legal for me, outside of a safe area, to unholster the "bagged" gun...similarly, when it's my turn to shoot, will i get dq'ed if i pulled only the "covered" gun out of my bag and brought it to the line with me to holster it?...
  6. might also be a mag or ejector issue...
  7. gun: sti frame, .38super during reloads, mag lip is hitting the ejector as well as the bottom of the slide...i have had to replace the ejector twice in recent months...anyone else have this problem and more importantly a fix? thanks in advance...
  8. how do you know when to install the second set of rails/rods? and when you install them, do you recommend starting with a tight fit and lapping them in?
