  1. So torn between the 2 presses. I have a LnL single stage and love it. Do I go with a tried and true design or try something newer? Tough choices...... how's the resale of the LnL ap compared to dillon?
  2. Hello from Iowa. Always up to meet and go shooting.

  3. I think people are going about it wrong. Couldn't you adapt the rod that attaches to the press and then use the slider assembly? I have a loadmaster and I can't see why you couldn't adapt it. You'd have to make an adapter for the rod to attach to the press but you wouldn't have to make the rod assembly like people have been.
  4. Chunks of birthday candle work well and a used dryer sheet.
  5. Sounds good. I appreciate keeping posted about the new press. It relieves the mind after hearing all the horror stories. I like my classic single stage so the ap should fit right in. Try a used dryer sheet in the powder measure.
  6. Thanks. I've already made up my mind. I have my wishlist ready at Grafs for the LnL ap. Is the Redding rifle crimpndie worth the money or use one from lee?
  7. JGH4445- can you keep me posted about your LnL ap when you get it? Its about $400 less than the dillon 55550B.
  8. Can you use Lee dies in the 550 to save some money or are the dillon dies worth the extra cash?
  9. Now im really confused!! I have a dillon dealer close but its tough to find a LnL ap locally.
  10. Roadapple- thanks for the honest response. I really appreciate it. Like you, I was gonna finally out with the LnL ap. I have a local dillon dealer that I can call and see his press. The Hornady on the other hand is more difficult around my area. Maybe not going full blown true progressive is what I need. Down the road I could always buy the 650 to supplement if our round count goes up. Thanks for the reply!
  11. So the general consensus is whatever press you buy will have its quirks and weaknesses. Sounds as if you take the time and not get discouraged, the LnL ap is a good buy and great press. I honestly don't care about color. Im interested in a press that wont break the bank and can pass down to my kids when they grow up.
  12. I own a single stage LnL press and the bushings have never backed out. I was planning on using the Hornady expander die in station 2 for case flaring.
  13. So how well does the 550 prime? Is it easy? Im not looking at a casefeeder right away but possibly if the family starts to shoot more. That's why it seems the LnL might be the better choice. Right now I can't justify 2k on a reloader.
  14. Some LnL owners have said that priming on the press is 2-3x harder than on the dillon. Is this true?
  15. What improvements have been made to the LnL primer system?
  16. Not at first. I just want something less problematic than the loadmaster. If my rd count goes up, id buy a 650 as another press.
  17. So would you take a chance on the LnL or go with the proven 550b?
  18. Sounds like my best bet may be the 550B.
  19. The Redding T7 looks nice but I don't wanna take all day reloading my ammo. That's why I bought the loadmaster but am tired of fixing it all of the time. My wife told me next tax refund time to buy whatever progressive I want as long as I don't wanna upgrade again.
  20. I have a loadmaster and tired of the constant tinkering. What about the rcbs pro2000?
  21. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of problems did you have with the LnL ap?
  22. I can't see buying the XL650 because I wont be shooting vast amounts of ammo. Possibly 100 res of each for handgun and 50 res of rifle.
