Pat, The reason for the lightweight build is that I have a very small son with spaghetti arms and he just can't hold my rifle up by himself for any length of time and stay very steady. Most of local matches are just bay stages with a very occasional 200 yds target. So I am going shorter on the barrel, 14.5 + comp to 16", going with a dot type sight like a Sparc or something like that. Was thinking the lighter upper/ lower would help but if I am reading between the lines the quality or reliability may not be there with ones I have considered as the application is 3 gun where we are dumping guns in a barrel and I need things breaking on me. Was thinking about the KMR 13" handguard and an ACE ultra light stock also. Suggestions or advice for what I am trying to achieve here? Telling my son to lift weights or he will grow up is not the answer as he is just very small at 15 (size of most 12 year olds). Probably won't get much bigger and I don't want to lose his interest now. I have enjoyed all the post and appreciate everyone's advice. Thanks, Mike

For sure Daniel could shoot anything better than most of us but I would think he would not choose equipment that might fail on him. Does anyone know if he is still using Mag Tactical lowers? Mike

I think Daniel Horner was using a Mag Tactical lower, not sure what upper though. Mike

What upper and lower would be best for lightweight and take the abuse of 3gun? I was thinking of using the Magnesium Mag Tactical but am leery after reading some reviews. Suggestions? Mike

If you get your stamp is it only good for the one SBR and can the stamp be use for a silencer or is a 2nd stamp needed? Mike

Novie, Are you using for 3 gun? Are you using for upper or lower or paired together? With not hearing any responses I was beginning to think I should stay away from them. I am curious as to how they would hold up to dump barrels and the roughness of 3 gun while still being a good lightweight rifle. Thanks, Mike

Benelli and Stoeger are both inertia guns. My son has a Remington 11-87 20 GA but you can't load it very easily or very fast. We switched him to the Benelli. These are the only 2 I would recommend for for 3 gun. Mike

Look at the stoeger 20ga but if money is not an issue the Benelli is a great shotgun!

What's everyone think about the MAG Tactical lower and upper? Anybody have one or experience with them? Mike

Tom from MOA fixed mine for same issue of double firing. I believe it was something to do with the hammer, but he fixed it. Mike
