I just ordered the 21 inch model. Anyone who has one wanna let me know if I need the +5 or the +6? I don't mind the end sticking past the barrel a little bit.

+1 on the aa's. I run the 1145 fps ones in mine. It runs 100%.....unless I neglect to clean it for a while. If you can't figure it out, just send it back, theyll make it right.

I think they're too short, they're the ones I had for my tactical sport. I thought I might try loading some longer, just been lazy about changing over my press. Regardless of length, id like it to be able to run factory ammo if need be.

I've got a 9mm 2011 sight tracker with Aftec extractor, that I've built. I've passed all the barrel timing tests, have the correct link in. But occasionally my bullet will feed ahead of the extractor( like 1 or 2 out of 100, and it keeps the slide from fully chambering the round obviously. I've only got one spring in the extractor right now, because it seems to not put as much pressure on the round and it seems to be more reliable right now. I know I'm close to having a 100% reliable gun, just needed to get this last little bit lined out. I'm running sti mags, with metal spacers, and tti followers and bases, they are tuned also. Help me out here fellas!

Thanks shady, I just wanted a little confirmation before I go making an expensive piece of scrap metal. Do you happen to know how much was relieved?

Has anyone installed an Aftec and had it be to long? I think I need to relief the barrel where the indentation is for the extractor is. Just wanting to confirm before I do something stupid

Sudden death, do you have one with a spring safety?

I've got like .058, and I didn't touch the lugs, the bull barrel is tight, sides and rear of the hood are fit right with about .003 clearance.

I'm in process of building 9mm sight tracker for 3 gun. I'm fitting the barrel, and I know .45's need .040 to .045 of lug engagement. Does 9mm need the same? I can't find it anywhere.

I was thinking something more discreet , like a pocket in the grip with a spring and pin, and a detent in the bottom of the thumb safety.

I stippled mine, and used leftover durakote. So far it's wearing very well.
