  1. Powder River Precision, Springer Precision, Canyon Creek, maybe even the manufacturer ?

And yeah, I want to replace my mag release spring (I figure it's time...anyone know the recommended replacement interval or # cycles for that spring?), but I heard it was such a terror that I have been cowering in fear. :(

Dude don't do it. Just don't. The only videos I can find on the net are of poor quality. I'd try to make a good one but I do not know if I can get the angle right all by myself, I'd need a camera man.

  2. I shot my 5.25 XDm in 45 ACP in a match this past sunday. I was having problems releasing mags with the springer precision extended mag release. The mag release works fine just doesn't seem to compliment the geometry of my hand so I was going to put the stock mag release in it.

I pop the pin out holding the whole thing in place being careful not to pull it out too far buy then like a dumb-ass I do just that so now I'm staring at a spring, mag catch wondering how hard it really is to get back in. Turns out very hard.

After an hour or two of cussing like a sailor and making a file mark in a screw driver I discovered I cannot get that spring back in and I have bent it in the process.

So where can I get a replacement magazine release spring for a 45 XDm and a slave pin to hold it in place so I don't bend the new one?

  3. I'd be concerned that with the dust cover difference between the 75 compact and the PCR it might not fit too that well in a holster designed for the Compact. Not really a fan of the half leather holsters either. I tried a comp tac with another gun before and it just seemed too hard to get on and off and a bit bulky, didn't give me that satisfying click of the all kydex holster either.

I guess if I can try it for two weeks though I might try it if I can't find something else.

  4. attachicon.gifDSC_0906_zps94932a5b.jpghere are 3 of my CZ 82's. The other one is just a plain black stock one. Hint on the grips ,,,,if your stock ones are all scratched up get you a can of truck bed liner spray at home depot and spray them. They will look and feel %1000 better. Easy 12 bucks for the can of rustoleum . As you see

Hmmm good to know. I keep going back and forth between getting mine refinished or just leaving it as it is.

  5. Well the LGS had a PCR in stock. They had a P01 in stock as of last night according to the salesman but seeing the PCR in person I pulled the trigger. Now I need to find a holster. Preferablly both a appendix carry holster and a IDPA legal holster.

  6. I am a right handed shooter with a 4th gen Glock 17. For the last year I have been shooting with my magazine release on the right side of the gun and I use my trigger finger to press the mag. I do not have large hands so I like this set up better as I don't have to break the grip to twist the gun to change mags. I do not think it is a significant advantage or disadvantage as far as time goes. But I am also a B Class shooter so take what i'm saying with a grain of salt.

  7. dustcover is slightly different..you might see it under the description 75D compact.

I have the bladetech eclipse holster for the PCR in stock. with the PDS and Razor hardware for IWB carry.

Good to know. Anything for the appendix position?

  8. The 4th Gen let you swap magazine release to the opposite side of the gun. Despite being right handed I prefer the magazine release here so I can hit it with my trigger finger. I like this better because due to teh size of my hand I can do this without breaking my grip. That alone for me is enough to get a 4th Gen over a 3rd gen every time.

  9. I wonder if that will work for the CZ Kadet. I have two holsters for my CZ-75 already and both are great but the slightly different profile of the Kadet means it doesn't work in either holster and I'd like to have a holster for it but don't want to spend tons of money for a 22 holster.

For the record my current CZ-75 holster is the Comp Tac International. I love it. I recently replaced the belt loop for a Blade Tech Tek Lok and now it's even better, easy to get on and off.

    Here's some pics.

  10. I'm flying to Seattle for an interview with Amazon next Monday. If all goes well I could be living there as early as August. I'd need to find a place to live, and for the first year or so I think I'd like to rent until I have a better idea as to where the good neighborhoods, shopping, etc is.

I'd like to know where the good USPSA clubs are in the area so that when I start looking for a place I can live somewhere without too far of a drive. I think I would be in the Amazon South Lake Union Campus if I get the job. Ideally I'd like to live 40-ish mins or less from the job and a range. So where are the ranges and what areas should I start looking in for places to rent?

  11. Pick either you want. Both are reliable and shoot great. The PCR will be a little bit easier to carry.

That's exactly what I was thiking but I'm having trouble finding holsters for the PCR... then again I guess it's the same profile as the CZ-75 compact the only difference being decocker vs safety so maybe I need to do my search again.

  12. I have so many grip screw, it's not even funny. If you are interested, PM me and I'll sell/send them to you at a good price.

    This forum is awesome.

  13. If you've got a hardware store which stocks 3.5mm metric screws you're in business.

I live in the sticks... I've got a Lowes.

  14. Why does a pair of screws cost $10? Every place either is charging an arm and a leg outright or has a low price but is charging some stupid amount for shipping. Am I just looking in the wrong places?
