Thanks for the info the stuff I was shooting at the time was WWB I think. The ammo i have now is Speer Lawman 158gr TMJ so hopefully it will run a little cleaner.
So I'm going to have to basically clean those cylinders after every match? That's disappointing. Is there any good method to clean them easily? I'm sort of new to this whole revolver thing.

My uncle used to ride in a motorcycle club and they would go on long rides and he pretty much always had some version of a 1911 in a shoulder holster on him at all times. He never carried one in the chamber though so take that for what it's worth.

I wonder if there are any job openings near there...

My local range had to do the overhead baffle thing and for fixed target shooting it's not bad at all, aside from the fact that club members keep hitting the support structures. However our range was deisgned with collumes all over the place so for IDPA and USPA matches it does limit how much of the range we can use. It wasn't drastic but it was noticeable.

I'm running low on 9mm but found a decent deal on 38 special so I'm thinking about shooting my S&W 686 at IDPA matches. The 686 I have I noticed that after shooting about 150-200 rounds for 38 special the cylinders get a bit.. I'm not sure what the word is but I'm going to use the term sticky. As in the rounds can be a bit difficult to insert. Is this normal or is something off?

Seeing as how ammo is almost impossible to find I could spare a few hours.

Science Fiction Novels
The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester
Non-Fiction
Shadow Divers by Robert Kurson It's an amazing book that reads like an Indiana Jones adventure only it happens to be true.

Looper is the same team that did the movie Brick a few years ago so I was excited for it and it did not disappoint. It's a very well constructed film, great use of "Checkov's Gun"

I've come to realize that Tom Cruise might be a bit of a nut but he's a good actor. I saw Reacher and was rather impressed with it. Good action, decent enough plot, good comedy and lots of great lines, especially the whole speech 3/4 of the way through the movie he says about being "Free"

Man I wasn't even thinking of having my port opened up any but looking at all these pics is making me reconsider.

Those are some fantastic videos. I still don't have a need to take it down that far yet.

I finally gave up on ever finding a 930 Jerry and just made one of my own. Below is my 930 Turkey model with a Nordic +6. The ports in the barrel will be worked around with sheet metal to keep me out of open class.
Nice job. Looks like a fiber bead on it, which one did you get?

I'm glad you figured it out. There are some guns I feel comfortable taking down to bare parts but I took one look at the CZ diagram and decided that the CZ 75 was not going to be one of those guns for me.
-
My most recent CZ purchase, a NIB never fired CZ Kadet with some VZ grips I put on it.
-
I haven't had any luck finding one anywhere at all and with the current gun buying frenzy I can't imagine Mossberg has many spare parts lying around.
-
I'm not sure either. I asked Blade Tech on twitter if they make the holders any more and they said they'd get back to me about it so maybe there's hope.
I do know that in IDPA you can only have two reloads for your revolver up front, the third needs to be behind the center line.
-
I'm resurrecting this post from the dead because I've been thinking about shooting my 686 in some matches and blade tech no longer makes pouches for speed loaders and the Safariland 333 is not legal for IDPA so what other options are there? I know ready tactical makes them but I've gotten spoiled with tech loc style on and off so I'd like to stick with that if possible.

I'll bet Jerry could get a spare. :-)
Probably but that's just one of the many things he can do that I can't do.
-
I will be calling Mossberg tomorrow, my stock pad is coming undone and I'm gonna see if I can get a lifter as well.

Group buy? Haha

Maybe I'll call them and tell them it's for a gunsmith?
-
Contact Jeff at c-rums great person to deal with
I emailed him a few weeks ago. He told me he just welds them he doesn't stock them so I'd have to send him one.
-
I want to send my lifter off to get it welded but I don't want to take my gun out of commission in the process so I've been scouring the internet for a spare lifter that I can buy to send him. The gun manual says that Mossberg doesn't sell any of the parts in the trigger assembly to anyone that isn't a qualified gunsmith or service center, would they sell one to me anyway?
-
Ah yes... well I'm dumb.

Ok what is "twins" and how do I do it?
