  1. Hey Jostein I'll be over in Oslo in middle of December. If you want I can bring several different basepads with me and we can check what you've got. The H-520 and H-550 will be a thing of the past.. I may re-name them, but I make them slightly differently and in 0.020" (or 0.5mm) intervals. The new series of basepads are: H-500 H-520 H-540 H-560 H-580 H-600 H-620 By the old measurements the H-500 is same height as the H-530. The bottom is slightly thinner and so could be called H-545 by a very abstract way of measuring or looking at it. If you've got some time to meet me in Oslo after Dec 13th let me know. Email me and we'll get together to check it all out together. Do you have access to an IPSC box ? If so we can check your gun with the pads and find the one that works safe + which ones you could have to get the max capacity when the box is on the bigger side. Cool ?
  2. and just to make sure.. there are different names and version of the "same name" model in US and rest of the world. The tall sight is for => supersight (adjustable) The low sight is for => combat sight (adjustable) In my opinion the low sight sucks, plain and simple. It doesn't have a lot of elevation adjustment which is why the need for the lower fiber front. You may have trouble adjusting it high enough even with my new 0.140" sight, but it's a compromise between having a slightly taller front (than the factory black sight) and sight that isn't easy to see at all. When we get the mid and long triggers ready plus the rest of the front sight product line finished up we'll start R&D of the new rear sights. I'm wanting to make a robust adjustable rear sight to replace both the supersight and the compact sight. It just all takes time so please be patient. ;-) Henning
  3. Hey Currently I have two Fiber Front sights available: 0.095 wide x 0.180 tall This sight is the new taller fiber front sight for the Limited, Limited Pro, Limited Custom, Stock II. Also US Model Stock I and Hunter's from 2007 and earlier with supersight (target style) rear sight. From 2008 and on the Stock I and Hunter's have the same rear sight as the current Match, Stock I and Hunter. The .180" tall front sight will only work with gun models with Supersight (bomar looking target sight) as you'll need to be able to adjust the elevation. 0.095 wide x 0.140 tall This is the new lower fiber front sight specifically made for the Stock I, Match and current Hunter with the combat compact (novak looking) rear sight. This sight doesn't allow for much adjustment in elevation which is why we need to put a lower front sight on them. It's a little lower than the factory fiber front sight, but taller than the factory black front sight. I'm picking up a batch of the 0.140" match/stock rear sight from bearcoat coating today. All my front sights are coated with Bearcoat Flat Black which is a flat/matte black non-reflective coating which is the best I've found for front sights. I've coated my rear sights in the same coating as well. Love it. All back-orders of the 0.095 x 0.140" will ship tomorrow and anyone wanting to get a better front sight for their match/stock gun can place their order now.
  4. 10mm ammo etc.. A customer of mine pointed me in the direction of Double Tap Ammo. Apparently those guys have EAA Witness 10mm guns and hunt with them. So they make sure to make ammo for both hunting and defense that works in the EAA Witness 10mm mags. I get about 2-3 calls a week from Witness 10mm customer having magazine problems. We might have touched on that here before, but the main issue is that the typical 1.265" OAL 10mm factory ammo is too long for the Witness 10mm mags. The mags have an internal length of 1.3", but when you load them the diagonal length is what's important so bullet shape and OAL can cause the rounds to touch front/back and either fail to feed and/or make it very difficult to load the magazines. In an effort to provide some more input for the many Witness 10mm owners out there I ordered a Witness Steel 10mm and a Poly 10mm. Now that I've got my Hunter 10mm blaster ready to go and eager to go hunting with it... I will soon write an article specifically on the 10mm. There are several little tips that can make it smooth sailing, but for the typical gun owner it can be frustrating when you run to the store, buy ammo and struggle with the mags/ammo. Quickly some of the things I'll touch on are: - Ammunition, OAL. Factory and reloads. - Magazines, modifications, springs, basepads - Reducing ammo friction inside magazine - Recoil management; recoil springs, guide rod, shock buffers, grip, grip enhancements - Holsters for carry, hunting and competition IF anyone has any other requests or thoughts on the topic, please post. I'm also getting some more custom holsters made for these guns. Lots to do.
  5. Oh... and forgot to mention... after Rich was done with the slide/barrel work, the gun was refinished in Ionbond (thank you Scott Springer / Springer Precision). ps. I also have an alternate ported barrel in 10mm for playing around.
  6. My Witness Hunter 10mm is finally finished and will be taken to Northern Colorado for backup/elk hunt in about a week: All dressed up with Competition magewll (for grip support shooting 10mm and recoil control), Checkered Contour grips (same reason), EGW Hammer & Sear, Henning oversized trigger pins, XL Firing pin (for anti-misfire), Wolff 13lb hammer spring, prototype Mid-length Flat Trigger, Henning Titefit Slidepin (in the case of 10mm... very important. 10mm's heavy recoil is safe with this tough slide pin), Huening Roller trigger plunger. I'm running #18 trigger plunger spring and the #18 trigger return spring. The trigger has NOT been set up to be light. For the purpose of hunting it's on the contrary.. it's crisp, but heavy.. Well, heavy for me anyway.. it's about 2.25 lbs (1000 grams). I run my competition triggers at 1.5 lbs (700 grams). The thumb safety is also set up to be heavy for safety reasons. The barrel was "accurized" by Canyon Creek Custom (Rich Dettelhouser) by installing a 1911 bushing in the Tanfoglio/EAA 10mm 6" slide. Rich also had to make a custom guide bushing to make this work. The new Double Alpha Aimpoint Micro mount. Saul and I looked at his prototype during the Europeans in Serbia earlier this year and we made a slight change to make sure it sits perfect on the gun. I'm very happy with it, finally been able to have a slick Aimpoint Micro mounted in my hunting pistol. I have Double Alpha aimpoint mounts in stock. Also have Racemaster holsters. I'll try to get the up on the shop right away. If you want either right away, contact me directly.
  7. Pictures of the Mid-length Flat Trigger. Just to note... this one is made from aluminum and it has a higher cut that the final one. We've left a little more material in the final product. The Mid-length Flat Trigger and the Long-length Flat Trigger will both be available about the same time (December 2010).
  8. Hey, The stock trigger plunger (factory plunger) has a spring with a #24 spring. The numbers relate to the wire diameter (0.024"). The ones I had made are 0.018" - 0.022". All are lighter than the factory and puts less pressure on the trigger bar. The "safest" setup for the Flat Trigger is the 0.018 (#18) trigger RETURN spring and the 0.018" (#18) trigger PLUNGER spring. That way you have the lightest possible pressure on the trigger bar (as long as it supports enough upwards pressure on in your gun (in mine the #18 works great). And you'll have the heaviest trigger return spring to ensure the trigger lever returns well. However it will mean a heavier trigger pull. But then again.. now we have #15, #16, #17 and #18 to choose from on the trigger return springs... Cool ?
  9. Here's pictures of the flat trigger. These have not been heat treated yet so it'll have a nice bright finish same as the short flat trigger. This is the longest trigger even possible to me in this style with the spring pocket in front of the trigger lever. It's a very clean design and it also gives the trigger bar more room to fit in the back. I'm going to shoot it in Desert Classic this year. It's definitely a trigger length that I could use for my hands (size 10 gloves if tells you anything). We have already prototyped and ran the first op's on the mid-length trigger. Both the mid and long will probably be available at the same time, expect about little over a month. The Mid-Length will be 5 mm or 0.200" longer than the original short flat trigger. The Long-Length will be 11 mm or about 0.430" longer than the original short flat trigger.
  10. I got home and in bed at 8am this morning after almost 20 hours at the machine shop. Worked all day catching up. I have thew longest flat trigger installed in my limited. I only have a prototype of he mid-length trigger. Tomorrow (saturday) I've got some other things to catch up on, but will try to get some pictures taken soon. And I want to make a more detailed article on triggers, springs etc. Springs should already be available in "trigger parts' on my site. I think the #20 or #18 - #19 are good choices for making the trigger plunger lighter and smoothing out triggers. Since everyone has a wide variety of setups from all aftermarket to factory I don't know which to recommend. The factory is about #24 spring so everything I made will be a lighter option. I would suggest trying #18 and #20 as the two lighter options.
  11. Okay it's almost 4am and I've got a brand new LONG flat trigger installed in my gun. We've got the first two made as these are finished products, but also not been ran in the final production setup. This means I'll have one for US Area 2 - Desert Classic in about a week. And even more importantly.. my rasta buddy Ryan from Jamaica will be there and he'll be able to shoot his Tanfoglio Limited with a long trigger than finally fits his big hands. I know there is quite a few of you out there who has been looking for a long trigger. They will be going in to production hopefully as early as next week. Then we'll finalize the mid-length trigger. It's really great, because now I think almost everyone with any size hand can pick a high quality trigger.
  12. So my Limited 40 has the following parts installed (trigger related): - EGW prepped hammer (and trigger job / slight mod done to it) - EGW prepped sear (and trigger job done on it) - Wolff 13lb hammer spring - Henning XL Firing Pin (necessary for light hammer spring to set off primers - Henning hardened sear and hammer pin - Huening roller head (replaces the factory trigger plunger) - trigger bar polished to reduce friction and drag - Henning Flat Trigger System installed Okay, so now that we've established the baseline.. The new Trigger Return Springs are now available in #15, #16, #17 and #18. The one that is supplied with the Flat Trigger System is the #16. The numbers indicate the wire diameter of the spring. The springs themselves are same length / style. The new Trigger Plunger Springs just became available in #18, #19, #20, #21 and #22. When upgrading to the Huening roller head you are supplied with a spring, but I like it even lighter and the flat trigger system likes a lighter trigger plunger spring. In fact, if you are using the factory trigger plunger I have in the past cut 1.5 coils off the spring to reduce the pressure from the plunger onto the trigger bar. Reducing this pressure lowers the trigger pull weight and also makes it easier to use a lighter trigger return spring. So the below chart is not 100% scientific nor 100% correct. It's an indication to give you an idea of how the different springs changes the trigger pull. Changing springs is not always just meant to adjust the trigger pull, but to ensure a reliable trigger reset. When lowering the spring weights its possible to go too far and you experience a stuck trigger. With the flat trigger system the tolerances are tighter so it's often necessary to polish and modify the factory parts to make it work well. Even though I have written an article about it on my website www.henningshootsguns.com, it happens that important details are overlooked by the installer / gunsmith. We're really trying to tweak everything to the most comfortable trigger for YOU. And we're dealing with variances in factory parts. My parts... don't vary much. They are highly precision made. The problems are mostly related to matching lower grade factory parts to work reliable with high grade, tight fitting aftermarket parts. Getting rid of slop means you've got to pay attention. I'm still amazed of all the very positive feedback I've gotten on the Flat Trigger System. For those who have struggled on install I'm in awe of those who have the patience and dedication to investigate on their own to figure out how to modify factory parts to make everything work smoothly. In effort to support the flat trigger system further I have developed a range of trigger return and trigger plunger springs. This will greatly improve the trigger feel and function. A heavier spring masks imperfect install / fit, but often makes it work more reliably. A lighter spring definitely puts the challenge on making everything (trigger bar, trigger plunger, sear, hammer & sear assembly) to be smooth, polished and fitted correctly. But the reward is felt in a crisp, light trigger with a short reset. So here it goes... R = Trigger Return Spring P = Trigger Plunger Spring g = grams. R015 + P018 = 700g | R016 + P018 = 750g | R017 + P018 = 800g | R018 + P018 = 850g R015 + P019 = 725g | R016 + P019 = 775g | R017 + P019 = 825g | R018 + P019 = 875g R015 + P020 = 750g | R016 + P020 = 800g | R017 + P020 = 850g | R018 + P020 = 900g R015 + P021 = 775g | R016 + P021 = 825g | R017 + P021 = 875g | R018 + P021 = 925g R015 + P020 = 800g | R016 + P022 = 850g | R017 + P022 = 900g | R018 + P022 = 950g So you can see from this chart that my trigger weight was able to vary from 700 grams (25.2oz) to 950 grams (34oz). If you like a certain trigger weight or are trying to make a certain weight (certain shooting disciplines require that), then you can fine-tune to get exactly the weight limit you need. As you can see.. changing the trigger return spring up or down changes the trigger pull about 50 grams (little under 2oz). And the trigger plunger spring is about half or just about an ounce. After installing the Flat Trigger, you first want to use springs that you know the trigger reset is reliable. Then you can start go lighter on the springs (if you want to tune). One thing to note.. the trigger plunger spring will also work on factory triggers and is a great way to reduce trigger weight on Double Action guns !!! It's almost the only thing you're allowed to do in IPSC Production division. You may not get the exact weight numbers and differences that I got, and just to remind.. this is a guidance.
  13. Today I've been at the machine shop all day. We've been prototyping the two new longer flat triggers (medium length and long length). The mid-length one will be about 5mm (or roughly .200") and the long one will be another 6mm longer (or 11mm longer than the short and about .430" longer than the short). I've been here since 10am and it's now 11:15pm. We've got another couple hours to go. Then I'm driving home tonite with the newest long trigger installed in one of my customer's guns. He's got big hands.. So this will be very cool. This means 3 different trigger lengths to accommodate different people's hand sizes and preferences. Also I just made available 5 different trigger plunger springs and 4 different trigger return springs. With the new springs you can get a total of about 250 grams or 9 ounces adjust-ability. It also allows for more flexibility in making the trigger lighter yet reliable. The factory parts can be crude sometimes and this is where a heavier spring often masks rough spots. If you want lighter springs you've got to polish and remove any rough spots. If you do that you can go lighter springs. Or if you think the trigger pull is too light, but you don't want to re-do the hammer/sear trigger job you paid a gunsmith to do.. you can adjust and fine tune by changing 3 springs: a) trigger return spring. #15, #16, #17 and #18. It's about 2 ounce (or roughly 50 grams) difference in pull weight between the springs. trigger plunger spring. #18, #19, #20, #21 and #22. These don't affect the trigger pull as much directly, but the pressure this spring puts on the trigger plunger head (or Huening roller plunger if you've upgraded) will mean more or less resistance on the trigger bar. Less resistance = lighter trigger pull. The difference between each spring is about 1 ounce (or +/- 25 grams). c) hammer spring. #13, #14 and #15 ++. This changes the trigger pull the most, but not always what you may want to change. If you're having a hard time with light strikes you don't want to reduce the hammer spring. And of course, how you set up the hammer and sear will hugely determine how the trigger feels, but also weight. My Limited 40 pistol is now at 1 Lb 9 Oz (700 grams) with Wolff 13lb hammer spring, Henning #15 trigger return spring and Henning #18 trigger plunger spring. Promise I'll make an article about the new triggers, springs and a little more in-depth as soon as I've got all components ready. The new springs are already made available in the shop.
  14. My email server needs to have a piece of software installed to avoid the bounce. That's the problem there. As far as phones.. I get almost non-stop phone calls and I try to get parts packed and shipped out as well. So can't always grab every call. I love to talk so every time I pick up the phone something else doesn't get done. Today I've been at the machine shop all day. We've been prototyping the two new longer flat triggers (medium length and long length). 15. Yup, they're all mine and made here in the USA. Eric is one of my two dealers in France. He likes my stuff, but doesn't like to acknowledge I made them... I guess. But it's been okay with me. Just don't be confused about it and think that if it looks like something I made that it's anything other than what I made.. I'm just happy the undisputed World Champion likes our stuff
  16. Jostein This is how you rate the springs: Long Slide (Limited, Limited Custom, Limited Pro, Match) = 4.75" barrel 6lb = 6lb 8lb = 8lb etc.. Either of these will be great for 9mm as long as you can make the gun feed with the lighter springs. That can sometimes be the challenge. I've used the Wolff 6lb spring for my Limited 40 for steel challenge. For that I've loaded to 140PF in my 40SW. 9mm is no different as long as the magazines / slide / gun is smooth cycling enough to eject and feed. Standard Slide (Stock II, Stock I, Steel) = 4.25" barrel. Actually the slide is 10mm or 0.400" shorter than the Long Slide This means the springs will have a pre-load which per Wolff means that you add 2 lbs to the same spring rate. It means: 6lb = 8lb 8lb = 10lb etc.. So in this case you want to use the 6lb as it is then rated as an 8lb spring. Shouldn't be too confusing. Just get a range of springs and back-up replacement springs so you don't have to worry about any local dealers having them in stock. I carry them all. Also another short note: My Conefit guide rod does a simliar pre-load (pre-compression) on the spring as it eats up about 0.100". If we follow Wolff's way of measuring it would mean that any spring you use with my Conefit guide rod you should add an additional 0.5 lb spring weight. So a 6 lb spring in a longslide with the conefit is then a 6.5 lb spring. The difference is very minor in felt recoil. You probably have to be very in tune with your gun to even notice a difference. Mostly we imagine more than what may actually affect us when we compete. However it's good to know.
  17. From the dictionary: com·mit·ment /kəˈmɪtmənt/[kuh-mit-muhnt] means to show loyalty, duty or pledge to something or someone.... A real world example... Thomas Samuelsen aka Sammern. My brother from another mother, Norwegian Shooting Team buddy and partner in all things good and bad on or off the range. Why ? At the 2010 IPSC European Championships [we were drinking at the time] I brought some new Viking T-Shirts and Henning Competition caps for my team mates and buddies. Everyone loves the logo and the new bad to the bone Viking t-shirt. Thomas is not a person who takes things lightly and he does what he says... so he asked me right there... "what do I get if I tattooo your logo?" Without thinking about it I blurted.. [knowing what makes Thomas tick]... "I'll buy you beer for the rest of your life" Thomas committed... and now you all know what I have committed to. ps. Thomas later on asked if he made it 6" if it would include margharitas... I said yes. It measures exactly 6 inches. The rule states that we both have to be present for me to buy him beer and margs. For more info on Thomas... www.sammern.com Thomas is a very good IPSC shooter, he is a 3-time Norwegian IPSC Open Champion and has been the top Norwegian IPSC Open shooter at three IPSC European Championships and one IPSC World Championships. He also came over and shot the US Area 2 and US Single Stack nationals (where he helped me transport miniature cows from Illinois to Colorado.. but that's a different story...) Your brother Henning ps. for those now ready to tattoo it, t-shirts is of course an option..
  18. As a result of skipping US Nationals this year I'm able to work with my machinist and get the new front sights moving forward. Here's what we've got going on: New Fiber Front Sight for Limited, Stock II, Hunter (6 inch), Gold Match (6 inch), Limited Pro All these Tanfoglio / EAA models have in common: Supersight rear which allows for lots of elevation adjustment We're now making a 0.095" wide x 0.180" tall fiber front for these guns. It'll be 0.015" taller than the prevous iFiber front (0.165" tall). This will let you see a little more of the front sight and also is a typical height you'll find on 1911 pistols. This means if you're not into Tanfoglio's, but want a nice front sight and a clean front sight cut on your 1911 project you could get this sight and put it on. Rich at Canyon Creek has already built several 1911's with my iFiber fronts. Now it'll be even taller which works better for 1911. We're also going to make a slightly wider 0.105" wide x 0.180" tall. Previously we did 0.105" x 0.165". Both 95's and 105's have been almost equally popular, possibly 60% leaning towards 95. New Fiber Front Sight for Match, Stock All these Tanfoglio / EAA models have in common: LPA "novak" style "carry" sight with limited elevation adjustment Some have installed my iFiber 0.165" tall front sight and made them work. But for the most part it's too tall and you'll run out of elevation adjustment. So now we'll be making a specific iFiber front sight for the Match and Stock I models. It will be just like the others, but available as 0.095" wide x 0.140" tall. This is still 0.015" taller than the factory black front sight they are supplied with and possibly the only height we could make work. Black Front Sights Once we've got our fiber sights out of the way we're going to make a more traditional black front sight with some great inputs from Brian Enos. If you are truly looking for a black front sight instead of a fiber, please go to my website and pre-order yours at a lower price and help me determine which widths to make etc. Currently I have put them up as : Black Front 0.080" x 0.180" Black Front 0.090" x 0.180" Black Front 0.100" x 0.180" I believe the 0.090 x 0.180 will be the typical. But after shooting the IPSC Europeans at small targets I think I'd personally would go with the 0.080" to have an even finer indication of where I'm at on the target. I used to shoot a 0.085" wide x 0.150" black front until I made my iFiber's. I could see a 0.070" being cool too. It's small, but on really tough targets it's a great sight. Of course would have to be matched with an appropriate rear notch. Rear Sights ..are coming. We're also making a new longer Flat Trigger and once we've gotten these other projects out of the way we'll be full-on rear sights. Both for Limited and Match. At the Europeans I was able to use a 20 + 1 magazine in 40 S&W that fit the IPSC box. Only because I had modified my rear sight. I'll be making a rear sight that is robust and useful for both USPSA (where we don't care about it) and IPSC (where everyone cares about it). ... All these products are now available for ordering on my shop. They will be shipping as soon as they are finished. By ordering now you'll save on the Black Front's and you'll help me adjust production volumes. I'll make what you want, but I need enough volume to do it. Even if you order now, your credit card will not be charged until they are ready to ship. If part of a larger order, rest of the order will ship now. Sights will ship later, no extra shipping charges. ;-) Henning
  19. Hey.. actually Sandy over at SV modified a Bomar sight to fit a slide racker on one of his customer's guns several years ago. A common friend had an SV and he only had one functional arm (Tormod from Norway). On a trip over to the US he visited SV in Texas and Sandy spent many hours making Tormod's gun work with a racker so that he could charge the gun using only one arm. Very nice of Sandy and super neat idea. So, yes it's possible. If you look at the common way to rack the iron sighted guns today, you'll see that a lot of shooters will attach grip tape on the top of the slide in front of the ejection port. It's a much quicker way to return your support hand to grip and shoot. If you rack the gun from the back, your hand will continue to go back behind gun and you then have to bring your hand forward to the grip. Try for yourself and you'll see that the grip-tape on the top of the slide is a much faster technique. And it's easy to do. But your thinking is a good one. If you really wanted to make it that way you could probably modify a sight like Sandy did. I don't think there's enough interest to make it commercially.
  20. Just added new trigger return springs for the Flat Trigger System. The Flat Trigger Kit comes with a 0.016" wire diameter trigger return spring. If you want to tune your trigger lighter or heavier, springs are now available: 0.015" (light) 0.016" (standard) 0.017" (strong) 0.018" (heavy) I will soon also have several different trigger plunger springs. As soon as they are here I'll make them available. They will allow you to tune your trigger pull / function. Badass shit.
  21. So after coming back from a long European trip I'm working on catching up on emails and taking care of biz. We're making a wider range of front sights (fiber and black) plus a slightly longer flat trigger etc. I'm also working on rear sights etc. So... made the tough decision to cancel US Nationals this year. I'm sad about it, but I don't want to be further behind that I am. So you'll find me on the phone and email in weeks to come. I'll be going through all emails and answering everyone as I get to it. I do get a lot of phone calls every day so be patient, but I'll get back to you. I love shooting and I love to compete so it's a downer to stay home, but it'll feel good to get back on top of things. I will compete in the US Area 2 / Desert Classic in November which now will be my next match. Always look forward to that match as it's a great match and always nice to have a beer at Casey's with Brian. And I will be Elk Hunting this fall so looking forward to that as well.. So please feel free to call me the next couple of weeks, I'll be available.. To everyone going to Nationals.. good luck ! ;-)) Henning
  22. So just to let everyone know that is trying to get hold of me: I'll be out of the country from Sept 2nd - 20th. You can get hold of me through email on my website, but give me a little extra time to respond as not all places I'm at (including my family's places) doesn't have internet. I'll also be shooting in Norway and tuning up prior to the flight to Serbia on Saturday 11th. We register for the match on Sunday 12th and the match goes from Monday thru Friday. Shoot Off and banquet is Saturday 18th. The Norwegian team/shooters fly back to Norway on Sunday 19th and I return to US on Monday 20th. If you need to call me for any reason, my Norwegian cell is + 47 993 49488 (from us: 011 47 993 49488). While I'm in Serbia I'm not too likely to pick up the phone as we'll be shooting all day. So make your call prior to Saturday 11th on my Norgie cell or call me Tuesday 21st at my regular US cell if there's anything. ;-) Henning
  23. You can use either H-141 or H-550 or H-570 pads. All depends on capacity you're looking for. The easiest is just to get the H-550 (H-570 is a special run I have a few of and they are 0.020" longer which is even better for magwell). Dwight, I didn't hear back from you in time for my drive to the airport at 8am this morning. If you place an order I have Lori shipping for me while Emma and I are in Norway/Sweden. She'll return and be back at work on the 13th, which is the day of the first shots at the Europeans for me.. If you go with H-141 you'll need to get Grams follower kits or Wolff extra power mags springs as well to accomodate the extra internal room the big pad creates. You can get higher capacity, but the bigger pads are little more work than the short pads. The cheap route and plenty good is just to get the H-550/H-570 and use all the existing follower/springs. For 99% of the iPSC matches, one big stick (170mm) and short mags (factory with H-550) is enough. I like reloading to the short mags over the H-141. Shooting IPSC standard with IPSC box legal mags has shown me that. In USPSA Limited matches now I only use the H-141 / 141.25mm mags when the stage requires it. otherwise I'll start/load to 18 or 19 round mags.
  24. Dwight's asking for the screws that are from C-More to Quinn which are C-More style screws, not the ones mounting to the gun. 10-32 is probably the correct screw, though I don't have that info in front of me at the moment. The screws mounting to the frame is M4 x .7 pitch. I'm at the NY airport, heading to Norway and then Europeans. I've got shipping help while I'm gone, but please email questions and I'll answer as I get connected. ;-) Henning
