  1. When I was shooting an open gun, I ran the same load practice or match.

But with the limited gun I've been shooting reloads for practice and factory .40 for matches. Funny thing is I've found Factory .40 for sale ALMOST as cheap as components for FMJ's ! ;)

  2. I'm starting to shoot limited with a G35. Tight Group is about the only powder I can get easily. To use something else would require quite a bit of effort so unless there is a big advantage...

What OAL works best in the Glocks?

What Bullet weight would feel softest in the G35 with TG?

I have some 180gr. plated TC that I'm going to start with but I'm open to suggestions....

Looking for a starting point. :)

  3. I was about to ask about setting up the G35 for Limited. Found this topic with a search and thought I'd kick it back up to the top.

After reading all the posts -

I think I'll send the gun off to Charlie Vanek for Trigger work.

Change the sights out to Dawson FO's

    Add some grip tape then

    SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT :D

Haven't decided if I'll change the barrel out yet..... More worried about the gun going BANG every time than small groups.

This sights are killing me...not enought light! and I find the white U very distracting...I ended up sight blacking it out.

  4. I don't think they are available yet.  I think they are "in line for the machine shop".

(Trey, I got you pad.  I'll let you know how it works when I get a magwell for testing.)

I sure like the looks of that mag well! I think I need one for my new G35. Flex would you let us know when and where to get one!

    :D

  5. Out of the combinations talked bout here and the pictures I've seen on the web the CGR Henie with a narrow Dawson FO front would be "perfect" for me. Nice wide slot in the rear with nothing distracting (rear FO) the eye from the FO front. You could just fly the dot in the slot! :D

Matt - I didn't see the Dawson FO on your web site. Do you offer them, one stop shopping would be nice. :)

  6. Can somebody translate "CGR" for the new guy?

I've seen the Dawson's in Frontsite and they look pretty nice. I like to find a fairly wide slot in the rear with narrow front. Duplicating the Bomar set up on my old Para, but adding fiber optic in the front.

  7. I had my G35 eat a hole in my hand at a match today. Dug this post up with a search. :)

Of all the suggestions, the dental pick is the winner. I could pry the spring to the notch with a screw driver but couldn't get it back out of the slot, once it was over. The dental pick slipped right behind the spring and the spring popped right out.

I sanded a bit then polished the button up with a dremel. I can't believe anybody shoots with that release for very long without PAIN.

  8. As with anything there will be good results and not so good.

I had a long talk with Matt Burkett about it when I took a class from him. I ended up looking for something like 3 more years before I pulled the trigger.

To me the MOST important thing is the skill of the Dr. I looked around and found two guys in the US that I would let do mine. The one I went with was Dr. Tom Tooma. He was part of the FDA trials for the machines and was the Dr. that TRAINED the other Dr.'s. He had done Tiger Woods and a bunch of the Lakers.

Some of the machines are better at some Rx's than other's. When I had mine done there were two "approved machines" and one under FDA trials. He had ALL THREE in his office and could use the machine he thought was best. I was 20/400 and I'm 20/15 4 years post op.

    FWIW

  9. Hi guy's,

I've got a MCM gun in 9X21 that I'm trying to get back online after a long lay-off from the sport... Long story  - anyway.

Gun runs but has a crack in the comp and the hybrid barrel is probably due. I was going to send it off to Matt to have it fixed but I can't find him. Is he still in the business? When I hit his old web site I get redirected to a site in Germany. ;)
