  1. Awesome looking pistol. My Custom ProSX shorty goes to chrome today I should have it in 2-3 weeks with my Custom Limited 5-10 days right behind it. How was it shooting? soft? muzzle flip? tell us how she tracks. Don't leave out any details,,, what powder, bullet and brass are you using?
  2. Does anyone have any experience with Armscor brass in .38 Super? or have a price on it? Their website has been under construction for some time now. Thanks.
  3. Dave (Sgtglock), Midwayusa RP 38 Super +P 2,000 rounds for $156.99 in addition got 2,200 rounds for $95 delivered for same new brass but I can't give out that info otherwise I may never get that price again, I hope you understand. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...leitemid=788843 Dave
  4. I feel your pain I ordered a Brazos Custom ProSX shorty and Limited in April of last year. I'm expecting them both by the end of this month. I have 10 pounds of IMR4756, 6,000 primers and 4,200 new RP +P brass waiting to be shot out of the shorty I had to buy a SC Limited just so I could practice before the custom guns arrive I love the SC, Bob and Ingi are fantastic to deal with. I can't even count the number of E-mails I sent them over the last year but everyone was answered professionally. Good luck on yours, I'm hoping mine gets here soon or I'll jump out my office window
  5. Thanks Scooter, it's a "shorty", not that it's something to brag about
  6. Thanks for the information, very helpful. Is there really that much of a difference in the recoil impulse and what are your load specs if you don't mind me asking.
  7. Just curious to as why you are using 7625 , I am waiting to take delivery of my new ProSX shorty at the end of April and Bob's load recommendation is for IMR 4756. Thanks.
  8. Awesome, thanks for the advice. I'm running out to the store to grab some oneshot. This forum is GREAT Thank you all.
  9. What do you mean by "lube"? I reload 1,000 rounds at a time, you mean to tell me I have to literally stick each case into some kind of lube gel? That sounds like a huge waste of time Please say it isn't so. Newbie
  10. Reloading is a blast however when reloading with new brass it tends to stick in the dies and requires a little more elbow grease is there any way of lubing the new cases or do something to these darn things to make them go in smoother? I'm reloading .40 and .38 Super
  11. How do you go about buffing the inside of a mag tube? I use a bench grinder with a polishing wheel and buff my mag tubes to a mirror like finish . My question is how do you buff inside the mag tubes? I have seen very slick mag tubes buffed inside, how did they do that?
  12. Thank you Gorilla, Chuck, JB, Zhunter, Eric and all the rest of you. You have all been very helpful , I hate being new and trying to figure out what's best . I rather pay for it now then have to sell it and buy another later. Among some Emails I got from Chuck (Thanks Chuck!), Eric and others I have been researching Bedell, Benny Hill and Brazos thus far. I was trying to get some idea from the Brazos website but all the information about the Pro SX (shorty) and his Open gun are all greek to me , actually all the info I have been reading from the above are all greek. Forgive my ignorance as I am still trying to learn. Thanks again.
  13. Flex, could you please explain your post? I'm puzzled!
  14. Thank you thus far for your responses. As you can see by my name I am new at this game, actually this is only the beginning of the second year of shooting a gun and all the terms and usages drives one crazy Has anyone shot an full size and shorty from Chuck Bradley, Brazos, Bennie Hill, etc. I'm curious about the comparisons. Thanks again. Newbie
  15. Does anybody know the difference between a standard length Open and a shorty gun? I am getting ready to choose between the two and I'm not sure which one to pick. Matt Burkett says in his tips mail: "I am not a fan of the shorty type guns that have since regained popularity in the last couple of years. They appear to be extremely finicky, prone to more failure issues and require significantly higher pressure levels to make major. I can't think of any top shooters that now use a shortened open gun" . This kind of scares me since I will be dishing a lot of money out for a gun.... Advice please...
  16. Bob's guns are AWESOME! I've been using the SC Limited gun while waiting to take delivery of my Custom Limited and Custom Open Pro SX guns in May . It is the nicest gun I've ever owned of the 13 I have including my Springfield TGO1! I decided to give CF Bullseye a try with the SC and 1/2 way through the season I'm sitting in 2nd place. It is a very accurate gun. I will hate to sell her when the Custom guns come in but they have to get paid for some how. You will not be disappointed with his work! Dave
  17. I for the life of me can't figure out how to get to get the guide rod out of the slide. I put the paper clip in and removed the slide but can't get the guide rod out to remove the barrel from the slide Boy do I feel stupid Can anyone help?
  18. Bob: I have your Custom Limited and Custom Pro SX shorty scheduled to be delivered in May of 2005, is this still on track? I have matches in late May and early June and would like to know if I will have them in time for competition. Thank you.
  19. I went to the range to test my new Brazos SC Limited .40 with load specs Bob gave me which is 5.0 gr of VV N320. I tried loads all the way down to 4.3 gr without any problems at all . My question is, how much lower can you go? Bob says you can take it all the way down to a power factor of 130 BUT since I don't have a Chrono I don't know where that falls. Any suggestions??
  20. John, was that the Custom Limited for the SC Limited??? I'm still waiting for my SC to show up and then I still have until May of next year for the Custom Limited and ProSX shorty. It's going to be a long winter I could always load a couple million rounds to take my mind off of it
  21. Thanks Rich, just found it on the USPSA website Sad news is I have the cheeseland IDPA State Championship in La Crosse this coming weekend
  22. Don't even go there Bob, I'd be on a plane in a flash... BTW - Where is Area 3??? P.S. I have seen blast shield's on C-more mounts, are they needed on your line of pistols?
  23. Has anyone tried the new XD Custom model in .40?
  24. Know what your saying Ducman, both Bob and Ingi are awesome people to deal with. I will be getting my SC Limited in the middle of this month and have my custom Limited and Pro Sx on order with a delivery date of May next year. The wait is killing me . I'm surprised both Bob and Ingi still talk to me I must have sent a thousand mails asking all kinds of questions and every single one has been answered.
