  1. Until I switched to Kimber mags I was having quite a few of the same problems. When I made the change it runs like a champ. I started off having FTF left and right, mainly stove piping. When I used the kimber mags I need to give them a little tap to ensure the rounds are seated properly. Mine likes Fed ammo as well. After I made the adjustments to the mags it is not picky on what it likes. Try the kimber mags and let us know how it goes.
  2. I have a Kimber Stainless Gold Match II and I love it. It is a great shooter and the stainless look is great!
  3. I have a unit 1 and I love it. I have tried a couple different mags and I have found the inexpensive polymer Kimber ones work the best. The metal colt ace style have acted up from time to time, but the Kimbers run like a champ.. it could be because I am running a Kimber frame! I chose the unit 1 for the ability to add a comp to it. They are a bit more "accurate" than the unit 2, but I doubt I would notice the difference.
  4. In addition to the hex screw, if you use a comp, make sure you use loctite. I use the red package locktite and the screw wants to back out every 500 rounds or so, just something to be aware of. I have a unit #1 and absolutely love it. Once you get it on tight you will be amazed how accurate it is. Also, don't be concerned if when you try to eject a round from the chamber manually you will have to push on the extractor. These are throated very tight.
  5. Nice looking gun. I have been teetering on building one myself or having the guys at SJC build one. Did you lower the ejection port yourself? I may leave that one to the professionals. Nice work!
