  1. I load 9.3 of 4756 under a MG 121. The case is absolutely full. Sucks to load. I have to be there to make major using a Trubore with 4 poppel holes. I use 4756 for practice and club matches and 3n38 for majors. I am at 1.235 on OAL

  2. How do the Speedcross cleats hold up? Do they wear quickly?

Super comfy shoes but mine are wearing fast. Only wear them at the range on the soft dirt surface.

Same here. I love them, but they wear way too quickly. I only use mine fro USPSA and after 9 months, they are pretty much shot.

  3. Definitely not. Even if I had one upside down primer in 500 rounds or so, not having to pick up the primers with Primer Pickup Tubes was my reloading dream come true!

What do you do with the rounds that come out with primers pressed in upside down? Even though it might only be one round out of 500 rounds with a flipped primer, it seems like it would be difficult to deal with.

It doesn't seem like you can fix them... I don't see how you could get the primer out... and I wouldn't want to dump them in the trash... Our trash goes into an incinerator...

I guess you could rip out the bullet and dump out the powder... then through the case and primer away... dunno... that sounds a bit dodgy...

Not trying to be a jerk... Just want to figure this out before I buy one.

You can pull the bullet and toss the brass, or, you can gently deprime in the press. Even if you trashed all the backwards primers, it is still well worth the time savings.

  4. ^^^Good advice for sure. I'm busy working on the design of version 2, talking with suppliers about custom glass etc.

Who has strong feelings about dot color. Red is the industry standard, green is the new cool thing, blue is kinda wild. Is there a real performance difference? Let's talk about color....

Green Green Green. A choice of red or green would be nice. Those of us with color vision problems can generally see green better than red. hint, hint.

  5. Well guys I've got my gun running. I ended up buying a brazos lightening slide and fit it all myself with some good advice from people here. All that is left to do is to refinish, and yes it is all together correct, proper lug engagement, Clearence between the barrel and comp, correct link and all the smithy stuff. When money is tight it's amazing the things we can learn if we put our mind to it, thanks again for all the help!

So you fitted the slide and barrel yourself? First time doing this?

  6. IIRC, Green and Red Locktite are the same strength and heat rating. The only difference is that the green is designed to "run up" the threads of parts that are already assembled.

My problem with threadlockers on comps has been heat. Open guns can quickly get hot enough for normal thread lockers to breakdown. That is why I posted the link to the rockset.

  7. Does anybody honestly think that USPSA can do anything that will result in a "surge" of revolver shooters showing up? New shooters? Swelling the ranks? Be honest now. Try not to confuse personal preference with something that will actually generate new members.

I have closely followed all the threads on the topic over the years. I try to poll all the revo shooters that I see at matches. I am pretty sure I've heard most of the prevailing points of view on the matter. I am all ears for something new. Let me hear it.

Absolutely not. I am not sure that anyone besides revo shooters even care. Revo should be exactly what it is IMO. It isn't popular now and it isn't going to be popular in the future no matter what magic people want to make happen.
