  1. Long story short... Wife wants a .380 with a red dot. Not for competition but if she wants to shoot with me I'll buy whatever she wants. I don't own a Glock but the 42 looks to be a decent platform to mount the sight. 2 part Question: 1. the 42 is .836 wide what sight will be thin enough 2. How easy is it to manipulate the slide on a 42 If you know of any other pistols that will accept a red fit I'm open to ideas.
  2. thanks...I was able to score 8 pounds online. I guess I'll ride the 7625 ship till it sinks
  3. where does one find a trustworthy burn chart
  4. closest meaning exactly like or equal to... They do not but I just went through a PCS move to Ft. Benning and you never know what I will get into here. I like the way the gun shoots with the 7625 so I was looking for something equal to it
  5. I am shooting 115's as well. With 8 grains of 7625 I was at 171 PF. That being said I have never shot a USPSA match, only outlaw 3-gun and Steel Challenge. With powder being hard to find I will keep these options on hand but what is the closest thing to 7625?
  6. 38SC 3 port Schuemann barrel and a fairly large comp with 5 ports
  7. I am down to 3 pounds of IMR 7625 and it appears that it is being discontinued. Its all I know with my gun and with a SD of 7 while burning fairly clean, I will hate to see it go. What, if anything is close? I have read W231 is close if not the same powder but burns dirty...any advice?
  8. I called and emailed Lancer about the heat sink and barrel nut questions....waiting for a response
  9. This sure does look pretty close to a JP barrel nut. Call me crazy but when I bought my SCR-11 they told me they did something special when attaching the barrel. If thats true or not, i don't know but i don't really want to fool with taking the barrel off.
  10. After looking at better pictures of the octagon rail I see the JP nut will not work. Has anyone had issues with sweaty hands on the CF? I am moving to Ft. Benning in 2 weeks so heat is now going to be a factor
  11. FYI, the Lancer will fit the JP Thermal Dissipator. I have one on mine right now. Not sure about the Carbon Arms guard. If I were to use the Carbon Arms guard, I probably wouldn't even try to vent it. I wouldn't want to compromise the carbon fiber. I can only hope/guess that when Lancer vents theirs, they don't compromise the carbon fiber. The only reason not to go with the Lancer is if you think it will feel too fat in the hand. Mine feels a little fat when compared to my JP modular handguard, but I have gotten used to it. Is the weight reduction that noticeable?? is it solid? did you use the lancer barrel nut?

  13. Do you have to have anything special to cut carbon fiber? I was looking at the Lancer octagon handguard. It's ID is 1.8" and the JP Dissipator appears to be 1.3"
  14. I am looking for a Carbon Fiber hand guard that is vented and has a large enough ID to fit my JP thermal Dissipator. Also, is there a CF hand guard that work with the JP barrel nut? Any measurements or suggestions are welcome.
  15. 8" plate at 25 yards. I'm ready to stretch the legs out but everything is packed up and ready to head back to the lower 48!!!!
  16. 110 GR. HDY V-MAX Hodgdon Lil'Gun .308" 2.040" 18.9GR. 2248 31.000 CUP 20.0 2388 37,600 CUP Looks like 18.9 is about right
  17. I have a pound of Lil' Gun as well but I have never loaded with it. I will say that there are a few guys on the 300blackout forum that use it to make subs. that being said they are pushing a bullet that weighs 100 gr more. I'd start a little low and work up.
  18. 9.5" Core-15 barrel (Pistol length gas system) I am moving soon and the chrono is packed up, but 10.5 grains of 5744 locked the bolt back and had no malfunctions. I am using a JP Silent Capture Spring as well.
  19. looking for some Suppressed 300 blackout SBR load data 9.5 " barrel AAC SDN-6 Suppressor 220 grain SMK Accurate 5744 powder I have done a little research and most of it is from a 16" barrel but could somebody tell me if 10.5 grains would be a good starting point??
  20. I am not a USPSA member but I shoot Open in 3-Gun and I am curious how these classifier's work. Is there a standard course of fire for a classifier? Or is it just the Match Directors imagination and you calculate off of what was shot that day? A quick youtube search and reading a few forms has been no help. Sorry for the thread drift
  21. Not enough people signed up so maybe it will happen next month. I taped the flashlight in the picture to my wrist with a little foam to help point it in the right direction. Worked pretty good during dry fire. Hopefully "mounted" doesn't have any restrictions.
  22. Well, the picture started off as a joke. Then I started wondering if I could actually mount one. I have a lot of different types of velcro and flash flights, I'll play with that idea. Thanks! Im not sure of the distance or if there will be any artificial light provided. The match starts at 4 pm and it's pretty much pitch black by then
  23. Any suggestions on how to mount a light to the pistol? We are haveing a low light 3-Gun match and there will be 2 divisions... Mounted and handheld, I don't want to hold a flash light. This is what u came up with....
