  1. There should be a spacer between the nut and the plate....the nut is probably bottomed out against the threading of the recoil spring tube. Someboody must have been in there before and got the order mixed up during reassembly. To answer your question......I have no clue what that thing is for. LOL!!
  2. The problem was due to an overly sprung lifter....too much pressure for the lightened bolt to overcome with a fast burning round (fast powder)....trimmed a few coils off now it runs like a champ !!! Thanks for all the suggestions guys !!
  3. The color is called Burnt Bronze...it's a cerakote house color.. PM me for more details... H.-Owens
  4. Ok...Heregoes...I replaced my recoil spring with the Browning gold setup and switched to the heavy piston as I heard that this was the setup to run (was told it would run anything). After my initial testing it did...Loads ( Federal wally world 7 1/2 1 1/80z target, federal low recoil 1oz trubal and fiocchi 9 pellet 1150 fps buck) I kept having loading issues with the wally world federal target stuff and was advised to make the glock extractor spring mod to the lifter to help...that worked perfectly. Now the issue is cycling the fiocchi buck...it will not even pull the shell out of the chamber but about 1 1/2". I have tried both pistons to no avail...the only other modification made was lightening the bolt assembly just a touch that's it. Does anybody have a clue what it might be ? Thanks in advance !!
  5. Hey Bruce, this is Hadley Owens. I am registered for the section match at the end of the month. I have a small business called Crucible Armament (Formerly Crucible Coatings) and would like to send you some gift certificates to be given away at the prize table. How and what do I need to do to get you these?

    Thanks, Hadley Owens

  6. So how many people are on the waiting list ? I sent my app in around a week ago I hope I'm somewhere close!! H.-Owens
  7. Sounds like some local stuff I deal with as well...nothing is ever setup where you can "run and gun". There is no rhyme or reason to their stage layout...just whatever they feel benefits their particular skill set. I feel ya brother !! Also when you do start getting better and becoming a "threat" to their fragile ego that start sanctioning with stupid rules which do not follow any organized bodies book. H.-Owens
  8. I think the Zombie match has been move to the week before Blue Ridge. 10/13-10/14 Ahh...that makes since...
  9. Are all stages vehicle accessible or will we need carts ? Thanks, Hadley O.
  10. IF you are going to continue using the KSG I would try practicing a strong hand reload and flipping the gun over...it would be so much faster and you might even be able to try a "load two" method. Hadley O.
  11. Everything is in one compartment...in layers... to show a gate agent you'll have to remove the upper layer or you could just flip the case and open it the other way...your choice... Hadley O.
  12. If you pull back on the slide will it continue into battery ? I would also polish the feed ramp...I know that it does it randomly and works fine most of the time but, sometimes the stars and planets align properly and give us FTF's.. Lol!! Hadley O.
  13. No they are not TiN coated they are cerakoted...I do all of my own coatings...You can see some of my other pieces on FB....just search Crucible Coatings... The case is outstanding and as rugged as any other I've had...the starlight cases are cheaper(in cost) and score a homerun over any other competitiors offering!! I've had both and trashed a "bird" brand after it fell against the hitch on my truck...busted one of the corners right out...needless to say it's in a landfill somewhere. Hadley O.
  14. The "unknown" shooter in the video is Mike Zinn....I hope I spelled his last name right... Overall I had a great time at the match I was squadded with a few high scoring shooters so it was a little intimidating but I learned a lot from them. The facilities were as nice as any I have ever seen with a great amount of potential once everything falls into place. There were quite a few things to complain about but overall...we went there to shoot nothing more nothing less. Yes, the prize table was scarce,we self RO'd 4 out of 6 stages...we reset and taped all but 3 of them (most people did). Like I said we went there to shoot nothing more nothing less. Last but not least on the list...GNATS !!Or whatever those flying critters were!! OMG !! They were everywhere !! Lol!! This was my first Major three gun match ( and it showed by my less than stellar perfomance) and regardless of the complications I had a great time and learned alot. Especially where NOT to have a blowout in Alabama at 1 in the morning. Hadley O.
  15. Just another show of wannabe's...I've seen bridge clubs that are harder than these sissies !!
  16. Sorry to hear it Dustin... I hope everything works out for you. Hadley O.
  17. If we come on Saturday but, are shooting on Sunday will we be able to use the zero range Saturday afternoon? I like sleeping in and getting that beauty sleep ... Lol!! Thanks, Hadley O.
