  1. Similar here in Lexington, Kentucky at a local range. If it is your first time, you get a bright green score sheet. A little embarrasing at first but brings you a lot of patience and understanding from your squad and RO/SO. Also, kind of cool when you have a good run, you get lots of compliments.
  2. I love my X5, but is a Competition so I have to shoot Limited. It is a wicked addition to my 3Gun set-up.
  3. If you were an AM, that would have been funny. Think all those sponsors would want the AMs, and those new to sport (with new money), on a separate forum, not watching the pros and their pullover billboards? fyi, that was totally a joke. Just got it, a thread that is amateur, not a thread for AMs. Now that is funny! By the way, just watched your video, nice job!

  5. Cool So the top 20 get bumped to Pro next year..... And, anyone who shot this year gets to pre-register 1 week early as alumni!!
  6. Larry, my e-mail is rwblitch@yahoo.com. Thanks for the follow-up, and the support of that awesome weekend!!!

  7. I am sure, with all of the fun we had, everyone has favorite quotes/stories of the match. I will start the list with a couple of my favorites. 1). While being coached on the Horus reticle by Cody at the LaRue 1000 yd sniper shot, Jin Wong (sporting a Fu Manchu mustache) looks at Cody and says, "It looks like Chinese to me.". Cody was like, Really!?! We all cracked up. 2). At the 4x4 post shoot, the rotation of squads was a little hectic. As a pro team headed to the line, the RO says, "Wait, we are going to shoot some amateurs first.". I said, "I'm outta here!! " Please add your own. Robert
  8. haha, my ears were ringing the rest of the morning thanks for being... patient "higher... higher!" didja like the pinky monopod? LOL one day i'll learn to use it! and maybe sometime after that i can own one Yeah, I thought 'higher, higher!' was the worst words I would hear from Bryan (RO) on stage 5, but then I called for a time check and answered '93'!! And, of course, I still had a rifle in my hands :-(. Second 3gun event for me so I know how you were feeling. Sure is COOL isn't. By the way, Bryan was one of my squad ROs at my first match. It is guys like him that will put a rookie at ease and give you the patience and advice needed to keep wanting to come back for more. Hope to shoot with you soon, Robert
  9. AM here. I don't remember a 'things to bring' e-mail, but it sounds like a good idea. Even a 'things to leave home list', like stroller carts, and money for beef brisket!! This will leave room for all the cool stuff you go home with.
  10. Correction, that is the 2 final AM teams. I know because am on the AM team on the left.
  11. All of the ranges are cold, i.e., there will be no loaded weapons except under the supervision of a range officer. That should apply to the sight-in range too. So, bottom line is we will a chance for final sight-in at match??
  12. Benelli2, web-site states COLD RANGE. Map shows sight-in range. Please advise.
  13. For AM, does random mean the names are drawn and applied to the table randomly, or do you go to the table and choose when your name is drawn randomly?
  14. This is my first big match. How many side matches will there be? Can go run them more than once? What is the entry fee and payback schedule? Thanks.
  15. New 3gunner here, shooting AM. Are side matches open to anyone attending, or just competitors? Thanks
