  1. I've got this new caliper since the old one crapped out on me. The trouble is I have no clue what the absolute function is or, how to use it. I've been searching the net and just can't seem to find details of how to use the absolute function. Any help / links etc. Would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  2. Due to age, Diabetes, and Glaucoma, I think I need to change the sights on my Glock to something easier to see. Suggestions for sight or, sight kit upgrades would surely be appreciated Thanks! ?
  3. Yep that's what it is alright! ? Seems, I've read somewhere that you could replace the firing pin with a series 70 pin to get around that or, is that done for a different purpose? Please correct me if I'm wrong! Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the tips! are there any tutorials on how to go about pinning it? ? Wow, after googling I noticed that to be a pretty common problem for quite a few people. I think I'll try more practice but if I keep having problems I'll probably just trade it in on something else.
  5. I really like this pistol but, when I try riding my thumb on top of the thumb safety I don't always get the grip, safety depressed enough to be able to fire the gun? If I cram the web of my hand into the grip safety then, when I move my thumb over on top of the (thumb) safety it feels really awkward and actually hurts my thumb. I've tried riding thumb below thumb safety and of course, once in a while during recoil my thumb has turned the safety on by accident. Any tips or links I could go to that might help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Folks! ?
  6. Happy Birthday! and also, nice to see someone else who has my last name!

  7. It's the all steel very little recoil or muzzle flip!
  8. This is my first glock ever, and I would like to do a few upgrade mods to it starting with replacing the guide rod/ spring combination. Any suggestions on what would make a good replacement? I don't shoot any type of competition just local range and might, consider carry once in a while. Thanks!
  9. I've been told this is pretty much the same as a jericho 941 purchased it used for $100.00 don't know much about it yet but, seems to be solid made and I like the way the slide hooks inside of the frame instead of around it as most semi-autos are. Anyone familiar with these and are they pretty decent shooters? Thanks!
  10. About Titegroup, if used in a RCBS Chargemaster 1500 remove the powder as soon as your done because it will eat right into the clear hopper tube and even the green base area. Otherwise I have had good performance with it in 9mm. I'm pretty new to reloading so, I don't understand the major, minor load lingo.
  11. This is the first load I have tried with my Kimber Stainless II. 45 acp. Hornady 230gn.fmj, Win brass, CCI primers and Accurate #2 powder. I used 4.8grs. of powder, and an OAL of 1.260" using LEE 4 die set with light taper crimp the press is a Forster Coax. I seated and taper crimped where the rounds were too long to fit the mag. I then, reseated to 1.260" but, did not re crimp again could that be the cause of the unburned powder? powder charge maybe too light or a combination of both? The only other powder I have right now is W231 to try. Funny thing is, at 10yds. 5 shot group had one wild flier probably me, and the other 4 rounds made one hole measuring under 1". Thanks for all advice! Forgot, I also have Titegroup powder but that stuff eats up my RCBS Chargemaster hopper really fast.
  12. I also, put a KKM conversion barrel in my m&p 40 and have been reloading for it and really like it's performance I also, installed one of the fail safe extractors and competition trigger kits. I think, the extractor brand and trigger kit is Apex Tactical brand if I remember right.
  13. So these (will) be drop in barrels also? I already have a KKM drop in conversion barrel so I will probably just stick with it unless, they prove to be much better shooting barrels. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread just in case though!
  14. I'm looking for group shooting loads along with OAL not for speed, and mostly at 15yds. and maybe 25yds. once in a while. Thanks!
  15. I might just give the AA#2 a try then since I have it and also, some AA #7 hopefully my results are positive also. Thanks!
  16. Has anyone using a RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 or similar dispenser/scale combination had the same problems using this powder as they had using TiteGroup? Just curious since I have some and don't even want to pour any in the hopper if, it's just going to start eating the plastic even more. I also have some Win 231 I thought about using. Thanks!
  17. Just curious but, anyone know why Titegroup does not have the same negative effects on the bottle it comes in from the factory? Chemical vs plastic reasons, or the fact that the containers are air tight? Thanks!
  18. If I remember correctly, my KKM 9mm barrel has a 1:20" twist rate.
  19. Well, I sure am glad to see that I'm not the only one having this problem. Not, that I get pleasure from hearing about other folks misfortunes. I really think these companies need to experiment with some different materials that will handle the chemicals in these powders (if) possible. I don't remember any rifle powders causing problems with my ChargeMaster 1500 so far anyone else? Of you folks that have had the same problem, what did you use to wipe off the sticky feeling to the plastic so newly added powder won't stick to it? Alcohol maybe, or did air drying work. I'm thinking about going back to my Win 231 powder again I don't remember having that problem wit it does anyone else? I sure appreciate everyone chiming in as this is a pretty important matter to us reloaders. Thanks!
  20. Thanks for the reply, I hope there aren't many other powders that do that. I don't think I ever had a problem with my rifle powders.
  21. Has anyone else noticed the RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 Dispenser/Scale to be sensitive to this or, other powders as far as trying to actually soften and try to eat into the plastic base as well as the clear tube? I had a heck of a time getting this powder loose from the clear plastic tube and, the insides of the green base after sitting just over night? There was still, a sticky feeling after removing the powder It's been two days I haven't checked it again yet but if it's still a little tacky feeling any suggestions on what I could use to wipe it down with? I thought about a damp rag with Alcohol but I'm open to all suggestions. I'm for sure, going to drain it after every session from now on as these things aren't cheap. Thanks!
  22. I've been thinking hard about getting one of these but, would appreciate opinions about their build quality, accuracy, and how dependable they are. I'm also open to suggestions for other options at about the $800-$1000 range which might be a better choice for my use. It will be used for slow fire shooting for groups. Would it make more sense to get it in 9mm? I have 9mm dies etc. already. Thanks!
  23. I've been thinking about ordering 1000 of their 124gr. bullets any ideas which might be the most accurate for shooting groups from 15-25yds using minor loads? The two in question are their 124gr.fmj. or, the 124gr.jhp? I'll be shooting them out of a S&W M&P 40 FS with a KKM 40-9mm Conversion barrel with a 1:20" twist. Thanks!
  24. Grab a CED M2 and don't look back. I'll check into that Thanks!
