  1. Fast, I'll be honest, I'm avoiding kickstarter like the plauge. So many firearm related start ups are failing that I think it would be somewhat hard to get backing. Like I said in a previous post, I would like to do a small scale presale at first just to get the money up to do a run, and see how things go from there. I'm also a bit weary about spreading to to many forums, mainly due to issues with commercial postings without sponsorship accounts. I probably will try over on shotgunworld in the huglu section just to see if there is much response. Once I get some out there and get feedback, might be worth a try to contact CZ-USA or CZ custom to see if they will carry it, but that's a bit longer out then I really want to bank on for the time being.
  2. I'm still around : ) Phones been acting up, so I haven't been getting notifications of postings lately since I don't check over here on my computer much. usmc, PM incoming once I finish my cigars. Hard to put down Villiger Talangas.
  3. Sorry to hear that :/ Have you tried calling CNC Machine Shop in Houston? http://www.rmcreliablemachinists.com/index.php They seem like they could do it. I haven't called that specific shop yet. Issue is doing a run of 20-30 keeps the unit cost really high, and to be honest I just don't have the money to front up for that many. I'll shop around a bit this weekend and send out some emails. I'm sure if they give you a concrete deal (with some email evidence) most of us here would not have a problem with fronting you the money as long as the product got to us. I was always planning on doing a little bit of a presale, mainly because the machinist I was working with promised a 1 week turn around on 20 units once the revisions were set and the testing was done. Thing is...I want to be 100% sure that whoever I go with can get me that kind of turn around since I stake my name on anything I sell. I know I have zero reputation here, which makes it a bit hesitant ( I know I would be ). Just sent an email to the guy I was working with, telling him to get back to me ASAP or I will be finding someone else to do this.

  5. Machinist went AWOL. Honestly I'm at a loss on what to do about this. I've spent a lot of time calling, emailing and looking for machinist that can make this and at a price point were I can actually sell them. Most either want $90 + per unit to make them, or straight out flake out on communication. If anyone has some suggestions, please let me know.
  6. Changes sent over to the machinist.
  7. Working on it! Been slammed the last couple weeks dealing with starting a new LLC. SItting down and ammending the cad drawings to send over right now. Sorry everyone!
  8. Wondering if you need to trim down the threads so the tubes will match up closer. Supposdly the older 712's had a "lip" where the stock tube ended.
  9. Just responded Just a update, got the samples. Doing some revisions and beefing up a section of it, and tightening up some of the measurements to make it fit a bit tighter in the bolt.
  10. The 930 I used to have did the same thing with the bulk winchester shells from Walmart. I have even seen a pump 870 do the same thing. Best bet is to find other shells and save the bulk Walmart stuff for over unders. 870s are known for having issues with the winchester bulk. The federal tend to be a little better. Honestly a good chamber polishing may be in order to help with ejection of any cheaper, thin hulled ammunition.
  11. Same here, those look great, I think I like the one on the far right the most. The far right is the "closest" to what it will look like, except the knurling will extend to the end of end of the slots + 1/8 inch.
  12. I talked to CZ-USA a couple months ago, they offered to sell me a 26" barrel from a warranty returned gun (not a barrel issue) for $50 bucks AS IS. Should hook up fine, minor fitting at most. Also, in other news. Samples *should be* on the way now.
  13. Sample is done, should be on its way to me. In the middle of moving right now, hopefully will be settled in on tuesday, and hoping the handle will be in my hot little hands by then also.
  14. The P09 has landed just have to find one I would also like to have a P01 with a manual safety but wasn't an option until a few months ago. Really? I thought they were still a month out for the 9mm models.
  15. Personally, I'm waiting for the p09 to hit before I start jumping into them.
  16. Which of his hammers? David told me he doesn't have a hammer that wide and under 2# of pull Doh sorry, you are right. He doesn't have the TS set up yet. Glad to see your CZ addiction has kicked in more : )
  17. I see you have the briley tube also! How is it working? I haven't had a chance to run mine with it on yet.
  18. Cajun gun works Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Had a microdiscectomy about a year ago for two ruptured disc due to an auto accident. Walked in looking like a 100 year old man with a cane, walked out 4 hours later about as close to pre injury as you could get. Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Once I get the demos, and give it a test run. I'll be doing preorders after that to get a rough count of units I need made.
  21. Well I'm hoping to see a sample late this week/early next week. We shall see though! For people that are seriously interested in one, please toss me a PM so I can get an approximate count.
  22. Still waiting to hear back from the machinist.........gotta love it.
  23. So looks like I found a machinist! Hopefully will be getting a sample in the next week or two. So, would ya'll like it in stainless steel?
