X-treme used,
124 HPCB in my open gun with HS6. Run great, be careful with crimp at longer lengths because if you over crimp those suckers will bounce out in your mag!! Got a ridiculous deal on a large quantity. Cheap and great for local matches and no comp cleaning like coated.
180 flat point in .40 limited with Titegroup. Ran fine as accurate as i was.
124 round nose. Did not like them as they tumbled in my glocks. Titegroup again. Will use them in my new pcc sure theyll be fine.
but now with prices I just go with jacketed and stop the farting around with them.

I looked at the stern and imho you spend that amount might as well buy a 9mm lower for a bit more. I am dipping my toe in and decided to play around with endomags. If I like pcc more I’ll get a lower. I have a bunch of parts and lowers so I didn’t want to go and buy another right away. My want for a pcc is just to participate in some of the pcc only and mini 2 gun matches

you righties are lucky, fairly limited for us with impediments (lefties). I had to use a small RMT thumb rest and custom mount and shave it for slide clearance. The ones in this thread would not work as that's where ejection happens. If there is a lefty out there thats interested, I'll post a pic. I put this onmy STI Grandmaster and Brazos Limited guns.

Supposedly they are cheaper to produce because the machines that make them are cheaper to buy and operate. Something about the extrusion process is more complex for normal cases.

I’ve tried food grade silicon spray, just a quick pass for pistol and it smooths out the press. No need to tumble after loading. For rifle I mix lee sizing wax with 90% alcohol and spray, that gets wet tumbled to clean out primer pockets.

Armorally.com has the best price on 9mm, I just checked around. Loading for major and I’m not as discerning as most folks, mixed headstamp never an issue for me. Can’t tell when timer goes off. I buy it dirty and process it myself, part of the hobby for me.

Hey all,
I have a couple thousand RMR 124 FMJ's. I dont shoot production/CO and have about 2k already made up. If I use the FMJs with the open lead base in my open gun (8.4g of HS-6), am I asking for a comp cleaning nightmare or black lung?

so far its between the PSA and Lead Star, they appear reliable and reasonably priced.

Hi all,
Finally caving and looking into a ready to go 9mm PCC based on an AR platform that takes Glock mags. Been shooting USPSA A Class in Open, Limited, and Production so I want something that's decently competitive but in and around $1500.00. I want it to participate in our local 2-gun and fun shoots mostly. I will still shoot Open in most matches through. I do appreciate a good gun so don't want something low-low end - I can build ARs and use them in 3-Gun but if I can be lazy and not build one so much the better. I've had JP, CMMG, and PSA recommended so far. Yes I've used the search but get a dizzying results as well as recommendations from my friends at the WAC. I'll have to finally eat all my "wearing girls underwear" words now!

did the plunk test last night, no problems. Regarding the firing pin hole, deep river customs went through the gun when the new barrel was put in, I'll trust that it was done right. I'm not too worries with some over pressure using SPPs as like I said, most look ok. My new batch will get less powder though and re-chrono. I would think as the barrel wears in a bit that will alleviate the issue somewhat. I'll shoot the new batch first then use up the others which I have ~1000 so I really dont want to decap and reload.

I figured as much, running Remington 5 1/2 primers - didn't think they were known to be soft like Federals as they are recommended for .40 and .357mag. 9 Major is pretty much high pressure all the time in my experience. Not looking forward to decapping a s#!t load of ammo I have made up already. These are actually the worst looking ones, most are just flat like they normally would be. I could switch to SRP's that I have but I'm of the school that they just hide over-pressure and sometimes let gas out.

maybe domed is the wrong term, looks like a slight crater and then a little bump up. Doesnt look like any gas is escaping past the primer and eroding the breechface

Had to replace my Grandmaster's 9mm Trubor barrel after a squib did it in. Replaced with another Trubor with Brazos Thundercomp 2 . Noticed primers are now showing a slightly "domed" appearance now. These are with 124 Plated Xtreme HPs with 8.4 of HS-6 and Rem 5 1/2 primers (1.165-68). Same performance across the chrono, seem to shoot the same in a match. Next set of loads will be dropping the charge down a bit. Experience with Rem primers, or is it just the newness of the barrel?

you'll find sporting clays is more expensive than USPSA overall. Most can start successfully with a semi-auto (forget your tactical shotgun for this) but if you want to stick with it an OU is pretty much necessary not to say you cant do well with the semi. Ammo is the problem now but most ranges will have it to shoot but expect ~$10 a box that ran for 5-6 this time last year. Reloading - same derth of components but I laugh when 1st timers find out that you load 10-20 grains per round vs to 4-5 for pistol ammo. Oh yeah, shot is $42 bucks for 25lbs.

funny no love for titegroup, i loaded up the last of mine for 1oz shotgun loads for sporting clays and its one of the cleanest powders even with aprox 10k psi.

people shoot .308 down an AK or 7.62 AR barrel fairly often. Cant speak to the accuracy though!

no expert on pcc but the psa upper i built intially had a 6.2oz 9mm buffer and as a lefty was getting crap in the face - 4.3 W231 124 FMJ. Went to a 8.5 oz 9mm buffer and no in the face anymore. Think its more how long before the carrier starts to move. Admitted this is not a sooper smancy pcc
