Hi all,
Looking for a WSF minor load for 9mm Glock 17/34. I'm using Xtreme plated 124's. I've done a good bit of searching and the loads are all over the map. I figured that 5.5g would do it. Please no other powder suggestions I have 8lbs I want to burn up. I normally shoot Limited and save the better powder for that.
Thanks!

live loaded up to 150g bullets

Thanks guys, I hate this mixed bag crap we have to deal with!

So,
Using what powders I have available, I came into 5lbs of WSF and 2Lbs of 231. Shooting an STI/Brazos Limited Gun up to this point with e3 and TiteGroup - have 2Lbs of that too. Without loading it (I will), what are the impressions of WSF compared to the faster powders. 180 Grain Xtreme plated and MG JHPs @ 1.180
Thanks!

e3's pressure curve is much shallower than Clays which spikes pretty quickly. But, yes, both are fast high energy powders. I can use e3 in 9mm where I wont even consider Clays.

Nobel Sports are a good substitute for Winchesters too, just a tad less hot... used thousands and saved hundreds

I do it all the time, I used to
wince but no more

run what works but I've seen a lot of people who get caught up in the "gotta have it because that guy is better than me" equipment craze. Manufacturers have relied on this for years.

I had to buy 10 round Glock mags when I shot the Mid-Atlantic in NJ a couple years ago.
-
Shoot both, I'm no expert but once you become a proficient shooter you can pick up most guns and shoot reasonably well.
-
you'll certainly classify higher sooner but then you have to put up with the inevitable " look I beat a X shooter"

Started Limited with a G35 after shooting Production on a G34. Loved the gun and shot it for a few years resisting the "2011" snobbery - I would love beating guys with more expensive guns, and slink away when I didn't. I ran into a great deal on a Brazos 2011 and yes, admittedly, there is a big difference. Had to get used to the safety and grip, being a lefty threw in another learning curve as these guns are really made for righties. Will it make you a better shooter - no. Will it give you the opportunity to leverage better equipment - yes.

Been using Lee dies with my Dillon 650

- Brazos drop in trigger kit
- SS guide rod with 12lb progressive spring
- Manny dot front sight
- Cyclone mag button
- worked barrel shroud with dremel (yikes!) wasn't running coated lead and longer load for S@#%
- Tuned four magazines with grams base pads with DP tuning kit
- Relieved the inside of grip to conform to magwell
- Put on my "signature" skull grip tape (lol)
I have one happy kid now
-
so if I get this correct; righties that want to shoot like a lefty?

2nd the SnS - .40 180's and I like the gold color! Just loaded ~7000 for practice and local matches - won some at the South Florida match - Thanks Dave!
