  1. Ridder

    Sig P210

I'm in the process of getting one: busy with the paperwork that's required here. It's a 1990 P210-6 with side mag release and beavertail and 4 mags. Can't wait to shoot it.
  2. Finally....it's back home!! what kind of sights are those? They look HUGE. Yes, they do.....I didn't see them yet IRL. But they are Meprolight TruDot adjustable NS I also have the original Glock adjustable and a Optima 2000 red dot....and a Glock sight tool....so I can easily change if required. The G34 itself also looks like it has a 12" barrel
  3. Finally....it's back home!!
  4. My G34 Gen4 frame looks pretty rough......
  5. A month ago they called me to say that my slide will be back around May 20th.......it won't take long now! The slide has been away for 3 months now...

    CHROME OR NOT?

    Do you have pics?
  7. I went for the MrDial solution....not the cheapest, but looks good! http://www.mrdial.com/
  8. A lot of people use N340 around here (and also N320)....like me.
  9. Yesterday I read somewhere on a forum...I think it was BE's....or GT... , that you are not supposed to use reload in a Glock.... Too bad : just got my G34 and RL550 And I have to reload: no FMJ allowed at my club.....copper plated is OK, but never have seen CP factory ammo. HP's are allowed, but they are US$420 here....no thanks.
  10. I got this one.... Probably as cheap as you can get. Shipping included. $21.25....... http://www.dealextreme.com/p/digital-precision-scale-20g-max-0-001g-resolution-10515 So far it works good.... I can't order from BE, because I'm not a US citizen......even though my wife is.....
  11. the new guy is gone..... It is a slide problem....I could take the recoil spring and the barrel home with me, but not the slide.... What the exact problem is....I really don't know. But it affects both the G34 as well as the G35 (Gen4) according to the letter.
  12. You can still use the G34 in IPSC Standard or the G17 in IPSC Production.... I think......not sure....
  13. What is the difference between a G34 and a M&P that makes the M&P "acceptable" ? BTW: I got myself a Dillon RL550B the other day and some other stuff that is needed for reloading: tumbler, bullets (Frontier copper plated), powder, primers etc etc. FMJ is not allowed at my shooting club, and that's almost the only 9mm cartridge you can buy here. Copper plated 9mm bullets are available here and all the other components too: I have to start reloading. I bought a couple of hollow points , because they are allowed, but they were 300 EUR/1000 (US$415). 9mm reloads will cost me 140 EUR/1000 (only the cost of components, not the press), so I will have to shoot a couple of thousand and then I'm break even.....
  14. It doesn't come with a beavertail backstrap....I tried to order it, but here they never heard of it.... I told the importer that it was introduced at the SHOT show, but he thinks it's a US-Glock part....not (yet) available in Europe. In the letter from the importer they spoke about problems that arose with the slide during endurance testing.
  15. It's also for the G35 Gen4. During endurance tests they found some faults.... I could have taken the complete gun, but I have to go back to the big sandbox in a week and then I would have to bring the slide back to the shop: a 2 hour return trip. When the shop owner receives the new slide, he drops it off at my home.
  16. Picked up my G34 Gen4 today, but had to leave the slide at the shop....they just got an email from the importer that all G34 Gen4 and G35 Gen4 have to go back to Austria for slide replacement. I get a new slide with same serial#. But for now I'm slide-less..... So I guess you have to swap slides one day too! I guess yours is also Austrian made?
  17. Well....today is what was tomorrow yesterday. Early this morning I was called by the shop owner.....he just received an e-mail from the importer that there was a recall...not Toyota this time but for the Glock 34 Gen4.... All slides of all G34 Gen4's have to go back to Austria and I will get a replacement with the same serial #. They couln't say when I get the new slide....so I will probably be back in The Big Sandbox when I get it back....then I have to wait for 6 weeks.... But I took the Glock without the slide back home and bought some ammo. I took a pic....of the incomplete pistol.... So I guess Qwasti will soon get a letter too!
  18. All the paperwork is done....I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow! There is a small problem now: at the shooting club/ indoor range they don't want you to use FMJ ammo..... All the 9mm ammo I can buy here is FMJ. I can start reloading with copper plated bullets (they are allowed) but first I need some cases....and for that I have to shoot FMJ ammo.... Can someone tell me what the problem with the FMJ is? Is it too hard for the bullet trap? Is it because the jacket (or parts of it) can ricochet back to the shooters?
  19. Is it only pics or does that website also have text, review or whatever?
  20. Thanks for the pics! What are the numbers on the recoil spring? It looks like I didn't get a bad deal on mine......
  21. We can only use it for shooting-sport purposes....not for home defence or concealed carrying.... I have to keep my gun in a safe all the time and ammo has to be separately stored in a safe. I am only allowed to take my gun out for going to the shooting club, and then I have to keep it in it's case or a range bag, not loaded: ammo not in mags, and I have to take the shortest route..... In order to buy a gun you have to be a member of a shooting club, where you can practice the discipline that goes with the gun you want: if the shooting club only does .22 rifles, then you can't get a 9mm pistol. When you want to become a shooting club member, you are screened by the police and if everything is OK you get a " declaration regarding your behavior" (that's literally translated....), you have to present that to the shooting club, and after about 6 months of probation, you become a member. During the probation period you normally get all kinds of training, regarding safety with different kind of weapons: rifle, pistol, small calibre, large calibre. If you pass all the tests and nobody has a problem with you becoming a member, then you become a member and then the clock starts ticking..... The first year you are not allowed to own a firearm and in the first year (and every consequent year) you have to practice shooting at least 18 times. Then you can go the the shooting club and request an application form for buying a firearm ( one that's used for one of the disciplines that's practiced at the shooting club). First you go to the gunshop and ask for a option form for the gun you want. With that form you go to the SC, the fill out another form, with all the details of the shooter and the gun. With that form you go to the police dept. they check everything and give you a form, and with that form you can go to the gunshop to actually buy the gun and take it home, to it's safe. Then you have to show the gun at the PD, where they check the serial nr. etc In the first year you can only have 1 firearm, and after that first year you can have max 5 firearms.....but for every addition to your collection you have to do all the paperwork again.... Well....that's how it works in the Netherlands.... Not really easy....you have to be patient.
  22. Little demand and limited supply would even things out!.... But I have to pay 720 EUR.... Is your gunstore at the Champs-Élysées?? And yes....things are usually more expensive here, compared to the US...so stop complaining that you have to wait a little.... And, Qwasti: some more pics would be nice! Holy crap! That's $1168 in U.S. Dollars! Welcome to Europe! Where pretty much everything is more expensive... It of course also has to do with basic economics: demand and supply. There is little demand and supply is limited... Regards, Igor
  23. Nice!! I still have to wait a week.... Do you also have a picture of the whole Glock?
  24. I have the stamps on the papers from the shooting club, but now I have to go to the police dept. for another paper.... I made an appointment for the 21st for extending my fire arms license, and I'll try to get the G34 on the license. Then I can go to the gunshop..... But I'm in the Big Sandbox right now for my job, so it has to wait a couple of days......can't wait! It's in the shop for 10 days now. @Sweden: why don't you just write an e-mail to the nearest gunshop or the Glock-importer? If it's available in Austria and Holland, it will probably be available in Sweden too! BTW: I didn't ask for the price yet....
  25. This is only a part of the Story. I Live in Deutsch Wagram, 2 Minutes away from the Factory. The Problem is the he have no Factory sale, and i must order by a normal Reseller. And my second problem is that i wait from my local government (Bezirkshauptmanschaft) that i can by my Glock. Aha, you are a real Glock-local! I know all about all the paperwork: mine arrived february 2nd at the gunshop and I hope to shoot it for the first time on the 22nd of february.
