    Ejection Problem

I bought a new "used" gen 3, 34 that had this same problem. It had very few rounds through it when I got it, it looked new to me. I've got the updated 30274 ejector on order. This morning I was fed up with it, and swapped a Lone Wolf 9mm LCI extractor (spare I received in error on an old order)into it just to see. It cleared the problem up for the rest of my practice, about 250rnds. It ejected up to the right and over my shoulder, but away from me. I wish I'd put that part in sooner!! I'm running a factory recoil spring on a SS guide rod, and was shooting W.W.B. from Wal-Mart. (My Montana Gold order should arrive today, until then I'm out of my preferred loads.) I don't know if this would fix anyone problem with their pistol, but it seems to have corrected mine. I though I'd throw this out for info to you guys...... Scott.
  2. We are starting a new club as well. I'd like to know who or what others use for insurance, and how much coverage do we need.
  3. I'm sitting at 1.085, and just off the rifling if my measurements are correct. I chambered several and examined them with magnification. No marks. These bullets have a truncated nose.
  4. I have some moly coated 125gn from Precision Bullets in TX. The Winchester data (WSF) for lead is 4.0 to 4.7 max, and FMJ is 4.7 to 5.3. I was planning on staring at 4.3gn, and work up from there (with my chronograph). I just want to make minor, and to knock down steel. I'm going to work this load up for a KKM 9mm barrel for my G34, and would like some advice where to start since there is such a spread with the load data, and I'm not sure where moly falls between jacket and lead.
  5. I use the Dawson fiber optic. Although my 35 is not a carry gun, so I don't worry if it breaks.
  6. I emailed C-Rums about the lifter and the trigger. I asked what the turn around was and if he lightened the trigger or just removed the overtravel. He replied within 24hrs. "Cost to modify your carrier is $45.00 plus $10.00 for the feed slot cut. Cost for the trigger work is $45.00 and it will be lighter, smoother and I will remove all the slop possible. Approx turnaround time is 2 weeks. I would only need the trigger group. Let me know if I can be of service. Thanks "
  7. I'd like to know what lengthening the forcing cone does too. Does it help with the gas system, recoil??
  8. So, just weigh lifter before you add the material, then mill the slot/slots until you achieve the original weight?? What overall length is it supposed to be after it is lengthened? Does it depend on which follower is used?
  9. I spoke to Edna yesterday morning when I ordered my barrel. She said she didn't have any info on the release of the competition version.
  10. I'm from La Grange TX. Yes, home of the Chicken Ranch (Google it). Not much in the way of matches here locally, but close enough to travel. We have a range here where the Austin Pistol Club used to shoot, but they went back to town. Our range has a good bit of steel, so I'm talking to one of the range officers about trying a steel match of some sort. It was actually his idea on the steel. I've shot IDPA mostly, and the TSCC twice, that's the most I've done other than just practicing made up stages I've seen on the interwebs.............. I couldn't come up with a good name, so I looked around and saw the cover of the movie Valkyrie on a whim!
