  1. Hi

I need a 15" Forearm for 18" rifle lenght bbl. already have a Superlative Adj Gas Block on hand, now I need to decide either the Geiselle Mk4 or the BCM KMR Alpha. One of my concern with the KMR is that the Sup GB wont fit into the KMR and want to use the Sup Gas Block, otherwise will have to buy the BCM LP GB which is not adjustable.

My concern With theGeissele MK 4 is the weight 15oz with the hardware, and not sure if my Superlative GB will fit too, although it comes with its own GB , btw the KMR is around 10oz with hardware. I'm limited to these 2 Forearms since its the ones on sale up North. SOS

I have the Rainier intermediate Wylde 18" barrel.  It shoots MOA with M193 ammo which is not match ammo.  It also cycles reliably with an H2 buffer.  If it does not run on your 6oz buffer, you'll need a lighter buffer.  An adjustable gas block does not perform magic, it just reduces gas available to cycle the rifle.

Which bbl do you have, Match or the Ultra Match?

  3. Hi,

just purchased the SA gas block, buying without fully understanding the concept, lol,  so running the SA GB with the 4.5 opening or  turns is the same as a nornal gas block?, and turning donw/ inside is the same as a restrictive GB. last question, when will the SA Bleed Off is beneficial, I dont run a can, If my objective is to minimize recoil and muzzle rise, whats the best setting . planning to install the SA GB to a 18" rifle or 18" intermediate> thanks

  4. Hi,

The plan is to replace my current Noveske CHF 14.5" bbl to Rainier Arms bbl ( its the only bbl availiable here up North and affordable, Noveske SPR 18" is back ordered and around $700,00). My choices are

Rainier Arms Match 18" 223 Wylde, SPR Contour and Rifle Gas

Rainier Ultra Match 18" 223 Wylde , Intermediate

Rainier Ultra Match 18" 223 wylde Fluted Rifled gas

    Some Concerns:

I currently using the Vltor A5 system with 6.0oz buffer, on my lower, workks great on my mid 14.5bbl,  Will  Intermediate and Rifle cycle 100% ?, and do I need an adjustable gas block for the Rifle?

Accuracy potential of the Rainier bbls?  Your experience and feedback is highly appreciated.

I picked up a SBE2 on trade a little over a year ago. I swapped in TTI springs, welded the lifter, opened up the port and installed a longer tube. It ran everything I threw at it including 1145fps loads. Don't feel bad about your purchase. It will serve you well.

if I'm not mistaken, The TTI springs are reduced power rated, no problen cycling and closing the bolt ( buffer spring), no light stikes?( hammer spring)

    thanks

  6. Thanks, the last time Bass Pro were having a sale on the ammo, I bought myself a couple WW 7.5, 1 1/8oz, 2 3/4 dram ( 1145 fps) and some Federal top Gun with the same specs. for the Slugs - Federal truball mild recoil- 1oz. 1300fps. it runs perfectly with my M2, hoping it will do the same with SBE2.

  7. Well, I did the unthinkable, placed on an order for a SBE2 24" for my 3Gun and IPSC

Let me justify my decision and reason for doing so before  you will crucify me

Here up North, we are Limited on the Mag capacity which is only 5 (5.9), rounds on the longest shell its chambered, and also prefer the large loading port of the SBE. I have the SuperNova and love the way its loading with its huge loading port.

My only concern right now is its reliability when using a target loads, an encourgement and enlightenment would be nice .

    thanks

  8. 9.7gr is my load right now with 121gr - 1.155 oal, Pf - 168, 2 bbl ports btw, its not a compressed load, by the looks of it, you can use the 115gr, but no actual experience since it prohibited in IPSC. The HS7 priduce more velocity but its not in production anymore, #7 so far is the eeasiest and best powder I've tried to my 9Major , maximized the comp and ports effectiveness. Have been with CFE, AC , HS6 and the Vhitavouri powders

  9. I am in the process of converting my shooting gears ( belts ,pistol mag pouches and shotgun caddys) to an ELS set up, already have the shotgun caddy and pistol pouch and all are Safariland including the belt . want to keep 1 belt for everything. Searching right now for a magnetic mag holder which fits my ELS BELT and has 1.75 width. My existing magnet ( Ghost) can only go for 1.50" belt. A combination of pouch and magnet is also a good idea as long I can attach the ELS FORK. . Thanks

  10. just got the new safariland 086 caddy and tried practicing doing quad, I have better success doing quads with the SN than my M2, maybe because the size and opening of the SN compared to the M2.

My question is about the SBE since I dont own one yet, would the SBE loading port is comparable to the SN? ease of loading aspect.

    thanks

  11. My bbl has 2 ports, and I'm only looking for a 165pf, so 9.6 should be in the safe side, btw does it fill up the case, For the HS7 its 9.7gr which put me on the 171pf with 124g RN at 1.175

  12. Any feedback on this powder- AA7 for 9 Major,

Any room left to seat the projectiles? or its gonna be a compressed load inorder to make major.

I'm on CFE PISTOL right now, although it will not fills up the case and easy to load to make Major, it not as flat as my HS7, btw my current load right now is 7.1 gr. of CFE, 121GR bullet with 1.150 oal. , and starting to exhibit some high pressure on the primers.

    thanks

  13. I was cleaning my bolt /carrier group of my M2, Is it normal to hear and feel the inertia spring wiggling or moving inside the carrier group? my first time of taking apart the bolt. . Put it back after cleaning the entire gun, manipulate the actions and it seems fine. Just want to make sure everything is okay. Thanks
