  1. Been shooting 38 super before moving to Canada, back then the lost brass is not a concern, all clubs has its own brass boys ( like golf caddies), regardless of the match level, so expect 95% of your brass will be back after shooting the stage. In Canada, Since labor is expensive here, I switched to 9 major, just used IF $35/K. I only picked up my fired brass during my practice shoots at my local range, my 9mm brass ilfe cycle is between 5-6 reloads. after that will use for my Classic loads.

  2. Steve,

Just a follow up question, is it True that gel pad are not interchangeable between the Standard and the Compact model ? Thanks

I would say that is true. As the stock gets longer the top to bottom (toe to heel) area of the stock at the butt also is longer (think of the triangle shape of the stock).

    Thank you very much sir

  3. Thanks to all the your feedbacks guys, Steve Rose gave me a quick and easy advice on how to finely tune the shell catch by just removing the trigger assembly without taking out the shell catch from the receiver, Thanks you Mr. Rose for the help.

  4. just a follow up, I did a little polishing and bending to my Shell Latch, first try I got an occasionnal release of the shell from the mags, although the insertion is more smooth, Readjusted the Shell Latch to put more Tension, much smoother than the factory but I can feel more resistance .

Does anybody sells a "Tune Shell Latch"

  5. Unloading my M2 ( shells from the mag) is a real pain, its a struggle by pressing the shell catch even with a the factory lifter. Now that I installed a Taran Lifter it makes the unloading manually more worse, correct me if Im wrong ,but the Taran"s lifter looks a little bit longer the factory lifter.? Sometimes when unloading the shells and had already pass thru the sheel catch, it will hit the edge of the Taran Lifter, Is it safe to trim or cut a little materials on the Taran lifter? , Thanks

  6. Is this common?

    SG- Super Nova-

    ammo- Winchester Target 7.5, 1 1/8 ounce,2 3/4 drum

Pattern is more on the LEFT SIDE ( 3-4 inches), ELEVATION IS FINE EXCEPT FOR THE WINDAGE. , chokes used , LM and IM (distance 30 yrds)

but the slugs sho0ts at POA

Federal Truball Light recoil -Dead Center at the same disatance @ 30 yrds.

    S&B light recoil- zero windage , 1/2" high @ 30 yrds

Never had a chance to try other shots yet.

    Feedback please, thanks

  7. ffgats,

I have been running a 1301C for about 2 years now and had my first parts failure on Saturday, at least it was the weekend before the match... The right side hammer strut broke right where it goes into the hammer spring. The left and right side hammer struts are different from each other and I am wondering if the right side fails more often than the left. Brownells has the right side strut on backorder but the left side was available I have 2 of each and the hammer strut bushing on order. The few Beretta service centers I have contacted did not have this part in stock either. This shotgun probably has about 3K rounds through it. The good news is a good friend was nice enough to loan me his trigger group for the match. So I will have hammer struts in my parts kit along with all the springs and the piston O-ring.

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff

I hope they will sell the parts individually , and not to force us to buy the complete trigger assembly, lol

Next year my 1301 will not be as over use since my son bought me a Supernova as our family second SG.

    thanks for the info Jeff
