  1. Keep us in the loup, I had to get up to 4.0 to function and 4.1 to make minor PF on my chrono with my G35 stock barell. Im very interested in where you get up too.
  2. Care to share what gun, oal, and chrono numbers. I can not get that load to function reliably in my G35. Im up to 4.1gr.
  3. Pretty much determined my loads were weak. What I dont understand is that I know of and have read about several other people shooting the same recipie from the same model gun and getting much higher numbers. I even checked my powder scale against my neighbors balance beam scale, but both read the same. Im still trying to find out if different lot numbers of powder can have different characterisitc from one another.
  4. Yeah stock barell, Im guessing no more than 1500 rounds. Competition Electronics ProChrono Pal Chronograph. Numbers looked realy low to me as well. Im wondering if powder characteristic can change from lot to lot. Or just a cheap chrono.
  5. All right as thought my feeding issues are weak loads. I bought a chrono to check rounds so now have some data to go along with assumption, although now Im confused by the data Glock 35. All data is with 180Gr Precision Delta FMJ, CCI SPP, mixed head stamp, 10 shot strings. Only thing that changed was OAL. 3.6gr N320 OAL 1.135 Avg Vel. 585.7 PF 105 1.125 AVG Vel. 637.6 PF 115 3.8gr N320 OAL 1.135 Avg Vel. 658.8 PF 119 1.125 Avg Vel. 656.7 PF 118 4.0gr N320 OAL 1.135 Avg Vel. 703.4 PF 127 1.125 Avg Vel. 696.6 PF 125 My extreme spread were off by quite a bit on some strings, not sure if thats a result of the quality of chrono, light conditions, or my reloading. Seems like all of my velocities are way slower than what others are seeing. I think someone above mentioned 3.7gr of N320 getting them 135PF. I know guns of the same make and model can vary, but that much. Also could different lot numbers of powder give such variance? Shot all above loads out of a G22 and avg velocities dropped slightly as suspected. Ran different weight recoil springs with the above loads, and as suspected, very little change in Avg vel.
  6. Full power loads perform flawlessly, I shoot 130pf rounds in my G22 with no issues.
  7. Feeding issues, looks like the slide not comming all the way back, catching the round around the webbing witch strips the round from the mag, but screws the angle up and will not feed. Or not ejecting, not like a stove pipe, but get trapped between face of the slide and the chamber, almost like the slide not comming back far enough for the brass to clear.
  8. Ive used 13 and ll on the 3.6 loads. Even cut a couple of coils out. Went down to 13 on the 3.8 loads and still wasnt reliable. Its not doing it on every round, but getting 3-5 failurs during an IDPA match. A buddy of mine runs 3.6 N320 out of a G35 with no problems. If I shoot from retention the problem realy shows up, obviously a weaker grip. I dont think my two hand grip is the issue as I shot plenty of minor loads from my G22 with no issues. I should add 180GR PD bullets, OAL 1.125
  9. I need to invest in a chrono, I have no idea.
  10. Glad to see Im not the only one having issues with minor loads cycling my G35. Started at 3.6 of N320, then up to 3.8 of N320 still having cycling issues. Up to 4.0 now. Ive even tried reduced power main springs and still having issues.
  11. Do you find that the ISMI springs need to be broken in? Im trying to develop a mouse fart load for my G35 as well and am getting several failure to eject. Running 3.6gr of Vhita320 under 180gr PD. Tried a 13# and 11# main spring with same results. I realy didnt notice a difference in the springs when I rack the slide which makes me wonder if spring needs to be broken in. Got it stored at slide lock to help weaken the spring.
  12. Thanks for responding to my specific questions. Crimp is at .421-.422 I will try changing oal on the BE loads to 1.125 I worked up a couple of loads of the Tightgroup going from 3.6-4.0 with both 180Gr FMJ and Lead, just got to get to the range to try them out. Again, thanks.
  13. Im not as worried about PF as I was. Im now worried about accuracy more so than PF.
  14. Thanks for the heads up on PD not being plated. I realize that boath loads are light, both around 130PF. Should I play with crimp or OAL? Seems like other are getting good acuracy from the Tightgroup load as it is a common IDPA load for the .40
  15. no im shooting mixed head stamps. I cant immagine brass being the difference between 2" and 8" groups, or maybe it can. Im kind of suspect on the bullets. From what I understand Precision Deltas are plated, the back of the bullet is definately not covered as the lead is exposed. I may try some full metal jackets as apposed to plated.
  16. Just started shooting a G35 and so far I’m not getting the accuracy I thought I would. My first load was 3.8 Gr of Bullseye over 180gr precision delta fmj oal 1.135. I could barely keep in on a paper plate at 25yards off a rest and off hand. Went to 3.4, 3.5 of tight group over same bullet at 1.125, groups got better but not the 4" groups I read about. It also appears that the more I shoot the better the groups get, ie cold gun to a hot gun. I really don’t think it’s my shooting as I pretty much get the same results off a rest as I do off hand. Used to be concerned with keeping my loads close to minor power factor, but with the lack of accuracy I’m willing to move up the load data if need be. Any one else shooting this combo, if so what type of accuracy are you getting at 25yards.
  17. It seemed like in the pictures ive seen of the casefeeders there was a small funnel, I was wondering if this funnel would act like the Lee Coalator funell and flip the cases right side down. Does the case feeder have the same no BS warantee as the press's do. Again Thanks.
  18. Im getting 135 PF using 180gr PD bullets over 3.8 gr of bullseye, OAL 1.135, cci SPP. Glock 22
  19. I cut my teeth on a Lee Pro 100 wich had a case feeder but simply used a funnel/coalater that flipped the cases over as they dropped into the tubes. I have since switched over to the 550 and was wondering if I had to have the big electric hopper with the case feeder, or could I just use the funnel tubes and the mechanism to push the case into the shell plate. If so, is there a way to just purchase those parts as Im sure they arent sold that way as a kit.
  20. no just BE and a little of Titegroup. Twisted up a batch of rounds based on the article listed above, Ill try them in a action pistol match tomorrow night, but Ill have my regular loads with me incase these will not function my pistol. Ive been looking at reduced power recoil springs but can only find the spring. Does anyone sell a reduced power spring on a factory rod. Want to stay legal for IDPA.
  21. excellent ncboiler thanks
  22. yeah thats kind of where Im at as far as not wanting to change springs just make a load run. Im sure there are better powders but Ive got 8lbs of bullseye so when thats gone I may change up. Question is how low can I go without sacrificing reliability and accuracy.
