  1. I am all for order of finish prize tables. When I finish well enough to pick so something up I either upgrade my own kit or sell the stuff to shooting buddies. The sales help me offset my match costs. Entry fees are only one part of it. Travel expenses are usually much more. I have been to shoots that are raffle type matches. The good shooters don't want to attend because they arent rewarded for their good shooting. I know that the raffle type prize tables are good for some shooters. Take the Pro Am for example. The amateur prize table is a raffle. There have been at least 200 entries every year except maybe the first one. If I were to finish in the top 5 out of 200+ shooters I would want to walk away with something good off the prize table that reflected that. With a raffle I stand a chance of walking away with some Beaver Lube and a t-shirt for my efforts. Doesn't seem fair to me. Raffle type prize tables may have a place at small matches, but not at majors.
  2. Send it to Crucible Armament and be done. Best shotgun I have ever shot.
  3. It shoots really really good. I am trying to figure out how to post some video. https://www.youtube.com/user/townsend628

  5. I shot a match where the md made a spinner a 30 second penalty for not spinning. You are never going to stop the gaming. If you make the penalty huge you hurt the guys that try hard to hit it and can't and the gamers are still going to find a way around it. Just hit the target on the first shot. Then you got him by at least 9 sec.
  6. Crucible Armament did mine and did an awesome job. www.cruciblearmament.com
  7. The 2.8 works awesome for all types of loading. I just went to the IP stuff from the Carbon Arms units. I like the IP stuff a lot. I can load weak hand, strong hand, or drop deuces from the 2.8. I also use their 12Q and have a 6D that I will be expanding to an 8D. One of the coolest thing about the IP stuff is it's ability to be customized by the end user. All the hardware is designed with the end user in mind. The Quad load setups and the Dual load setups can be formed around your waist by simply bending the backbone. Very trick and they look cool as hell. I used the Carbon Arms sslp8 for two seasons before switching to the IP stuff this year. Shell retention is solid in both products, but I am faster with the IP caddies. The 2.8 is an awesome product.
  8. Awesome! Thanks Linda. I just sent you an email telling you I want to stay on the list.
  9. Maybe a little off topic, but since I paid for a membership renewal and then another $25 when I tired to register the first go round, do I get the magazine? Or is that additional?
  10. Very simple and easy. Easier than registering for the Pro-Am. That is the way it should have been on turkey day!
  11. I can understand how it isn't quite fair to the guys who couldn't get in, but the people who did get registered should be allowed to keep their spots. We all tried. I am sure the head shed will make it right and the next time will be much smoother.
  12. What's up with Texas? Glad I renewed my membership at noon today because apparently when you register for an event they charge you again. WTF man. I better be getting two copies of the magazine now!
