  1. Any suggestions on a universal sight and removal tool. I have glocks, 1911 and xds. Not confident enough to use punch.
  2. I am guessing maybe on the back it says your designated agent can pickup so someone could pickup for you. Again only guessing. How did you get the sender and receiver names blocked out like that? May need to someday. Really neat.
  3. I have had same problem if it is insured it needs a signature. Manny USA is supposed to have very good prices on bullets. He is a vendor on the forums. His site say 6000 rnd order but have been told to call and can get smaller quantities, that will be my next purchase. Maybe call them and see if they will send it uninsured and driver should leave it at door. I do not know if post office workers have a maximum weight hey can hand carry or not. I think ups is max package weight is 50#. Good luck.
  4. +1 I went thru this for about 3 years thinking it was my work boots. At end of the day would loosen boots on way home it would ease up. Finally went to foot doctor he did operation in office and was up fishing in Canada 3 days latter. Bad part is he called my wife day later to see how I was doing, because I am a wussy about needles, really helped my ego. Get her done.
  5. My shop was a 100 old milking barn and hay storage till it was blown down in huge wind storm. New 40x40 shop put 2 roll up doors 1 18x18 the other 10x8 in the direction the wind normally blows from so when have breeze can open and have wind circulation, helps to keep it cooler in summer. Also go with electric power door opener with remote control nothing worse than having to pull the chain 4 to 5 times a day especially when raining. Also built 8x10 insulated office with small air conditioner also easy to heat with small heater in winter. The flat space above office has a ladder going to it, good extra storage, have more space for gun safe that is disquised as a cabinet with door. Also good place to store ammo, trap thrower, decoys etc. Was just going to use office to relax in and do some paper work. Looking at it now it will be great place for reloading. My vise is mounted to a big truck rim, using a 4x4 square tubing for stand, is movable if really need to. As stated a bathroom and sink a must, did not do, so have to modify it. Enjoy new shop.
  6. KyleO we want the smell to go away not have something eat them If EPA got ahold of this it would have to probably be registered. I have used 0zium for cigar smoke in pickup works great overnite. Would be afraid my hair would fall out if used it with me still in the room. Oh s--t my hair is falling out is it from the ozium or my fatulance(damn spell checker quit working again)? Toolguy great joke, still Hey guys I am going nuts on figuring out how to bring someones statement into my post in the colored boxes like you do. Looked in help area and cannot figure it out. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks Jerry
  7. Sargenv. Don't know if you are still watching this sight. But the way to cook a spoony and enjoy it is to nail it to a nice hickory plank and marinate both in Crown Royal then stick it in the oven. When done take out of oven, remove spoony from plank throw away and eat the plank.
  8. Gentlemen mine is so bad that I now have a stainless steel bathroom because repainting is so often got to expensive. In fact my wife had a canary once, she left it near my bathroom by mistake and it died. All kidding aside I will not use my best friend's who lives 1 mile away, I will go home first. Maybe it comes with old age, I wish they would come up with a pill that would make it smell like burnt gun powder. There's nothing like the smell of fresh burnt gun powder in the morning.
  9. $220. Us guys on the Left coast may not be able to buy the same kind of toys you guys can. But we will not have to loose any sleep during this benefit auction. It is tax deductible isn't I will figure out some way.
  10. Remember I said preschool. Don't know how to spell. Ballistic. And would you like flied lice with your tea.
  11. Preschool student at Brian Enos school of ballisric art. Before that ag. chemical salesman for 25 years. Last 15 years consultant for rice co-op and farmer.
  12. Welcome and be safe. I am newbie here no shooting, reloading or matches yet. The people on these forums are fantastic, wish there were more like them in the world. You have as Merry a Christmas as you can. Our prayers and best wishes go out to you men. Thank you for your service. Jerry
  13. Thanks for all info. This gun was built by the deputy sheriff for a DA investigator friend, the grip safety had already been disconnected. I bought it just to have it. I can get some hi cap mags in a round about way but person needs to know model and I have no idea. Will try to post some pics this weekend. Just need some advice on how to post pics. You guys are great I used to come home and veg out if front of TV but now spend my time increasing my knowledge on these forums. Thanks again Jerry
  14. Thanks for all the info. Went to speedsec sight and they had tab to get in contact with but could not go there. Gave blade-tech a call and they said they could modify one of their holsters to fit buckmark. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas Jerry
  15. Just had a brain fart what do you guys think about tuning up the gun on the inside and leaving the exterior as is. I am not a shooter yet. But would maybe be willing to lend it to a good shooter to run some matches just to fake everyone out just for the fun of it. But if I did that the shooter would have to video the matches and post here on the forums. All depends on the cost, I may have some funny money laying around to trick out the gun. I have had a few good years farming and with my accountant I usually am able to right the guns off. Again just a thought.
  16. I've got an old, I think, Para Ordinance 45 that takes a 15 round mag. Bought it from a Deputy Sheriff before hi cap ban was passed in CA. It has to be old it has a Remington Rand slide and lists Ft. Lauderdale Fl. and Canada on the receiver. Would like to tune it up, I drool everytime I see a SVI, STI or Brazos custom etc. gun. They are so purrrty I just want to fondle them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Since I had ownership before ban I should be able to send it to have custom work done. Thanks in advance.
  17. Thanks for info. I did search on google and came up empty handed. Who do you think I could contact for custom holster comp-tac, blade-tech? Maybe go with c-more sight.
  18. Looking for holster recommendations for BuckMark with tasco reddot and Ruger MKII stock, something I can use to practice with. Any recs would be appreciated. OOPs............forget to mention I am one of Gods choosen few, LEFTHANDED, if it makes any different. Thanks, Jerry
  19. G-ManBart, I am not sure which way to go Major or Minor. The biggest difference that I can tell between them is point system. I mainly plan on competing with me, myself and I, and just having fun. I have 3/45s, 2 glock 9s and miscellanious 22s and 357s. Don't think any have had 500 rounds through them.(Can never have enough guns) Used to hunt ducks and geese for 30 years, gave it up and have found 2 new hobbies to replace it deer hunting and handguns. I am close to retirement age but do not plan to retire(small time rice farmer). Some say rice farming is like being retired and I agree but have 2nd job to support farming for bad years. My plans are to set up stages at farm to practice for about 3-4months then may go to local match(50 miles away). Nobody I know at this time shoots USPSA, Steel or IDPA so these forums have been a blessing. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. You guys here on the forum impart such good info and make me laugh with your one liners just wish the real world was filled with people like you, the world would be a better place. Thanks to Brian for hosting this forum. And Thank You all for the time you give for spreading such good knowledge,
  20. Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I must have shooting on the brain meant Gripe not Grip.
  21. Hey guys newbie/old fart here. I am so new to reloading don't have one yet but will be getting Dillion from Brian after Xmas. So a couple of questions. Will be shooting a Glock 17 open gun. 1. Where to get smallest quantity of powder till I decide on the one I like? 2. Where to get bullets? Looks like MG or Precision Delta way to go. Want to try 115, 124 and 147 CMJ & FMJ. Don't want to have 800+ bullets left if not one I like. 3. Which do you guys feel most accurate FMJ, JHP or CMP? Answer to questions 1&2 is probably my local gun shop? You guys, non gender specific, are fantastic what with all the knowledge you impart to us newbies. Thank you. I have one grip...............this forum is so addictive I have given up watching some of my favorite tv shows like Hawaii five-0. Again thanks for all of your input. Jerry
